The hotel is of the construction a masterpiece! Our room in the 3-block was centrally located and was nice and spacious, the terrace with a view of the sea (also from the bed ) was wonderful. The food was better than expected: the buffets looked good and gave really something for every taste ago. At the beach was enough room, the beach boys nice and friendly (like the entire staff), the salesmen at the beach not intrusive. Here is however barter. Short vermsst we have a german newspaper/magazine, is unfortunately not offered. For a carefree holiday, we this hotel definitely ... recommend it and if all goes well, we are soon back there. read more

The citadel azur stanch with his unique architecture and its gorgeous location with its own harbor. The complex is away from the crowded hotelmeilen you in Hurghada otherwise is. The reef of the hotel is far beyond the whole plant away. The structure of the guests was mixed across. The guests moved on many nations, many eastern europeans, who were not noticeable negatively however, neither the food or by saufgelagen. Otherwise there was also many germans, austrians, french, dutch and so on. The area is very extensive and on different levels set up, for handicapped people and families with small ... children on buggies are dependent on is the hotel only recommended only with restrictions, there lots of stairs are, although there is some wheelchair-accessible paths, but still long-term means. A shuttle bus goes in 5-minute intervals from one end to the other end (1.6 kilometer ) the hotel. The hotel is very well-kept, each pool has its own bar. At the beach there are several bars, one must never long queues and everywhere also the chairs served. Toilets are more than sufficiently available and always clean. There was a main restaurant in that it to breakfast and dinner gives, lunch there directly at the port, lots of different small restaurants, also in the all inclusive package and only a day before must be reserved. ( italian, fish restaurant, brazilian) private dining with seafood/crawfish/fish at 30,00 Euro per person. No matter wether breakfast, lunch or dinner, it has the restaurant a beautiful view of the Marina, the lagoons and on the sea. The evening entertainment found in überwältigem conference room instead of, as it is in the evening in the amphitheatre was still too cold and this for the new season still reconditioned. The name conference room we found a little understated-banqueting hall would have described it could have been better.     We had only booked a standard room and were still impressed. The room was very spacious, with a walk-in closet in the you really lots of space had his clothes, sportgepäck, bags and so on to store, the terrace was huge. The bathroom was large, walk-in shower with a window in the shower on the sea or at the harbor view. We were in the 32. block and had a wonderful view on the two pools, on the Marina and thus of course on the sea. You woke up in the morning and looked directly from the bed on the sea - wonderful! The room was every day, tiptop clean, the towels are changed every day, the mini bar replenished every day, and the coffee/tea station was refilled daily.

    You actually yes in Egypt drawbacks, but not in this hotel. All meals and drinks were nearly european standard. In the main restaurant there was daily changing themes, greek, turkish, french, asian and so on. The asian buffet topped by far the offer and the quality the food our lieblingsthai in Germany. All the dishes were well seasoned, it was nothing cooked or still half raw as it from Egypt knows otherwise. The meat was tender, not verknorpelt or tough, even the grilled liver passed one on the tongue. We especially recommend the fish restaurant, there was a wide choice at different appetizers and a wide choice of freshly grilled fish. The soups were delicious, a wide choice of salads, appetizers, vegetables, main courses, a wide choice at fresh fruit and a cake/dessert buffet where versündigen could. Everything in the best quality and very well prepared. Beer and wine were the best egyptian quality, the wine was a very good selection, the beer came from the luxorbrauerei and not of Stella, our german öttinger on an equal footing is. There was a wide choice of cocktails, thanks to the well trained waiters and the mise en place on high level were. No matter wether Caipirinha, Piña Colada or mochito uvm, everything tasted as one it from at home or other countries is used. The beverages were in of the lobby and the restaurants in 0.33 glasses enough, the wine in the extra restaurants in 0.4 decanters, at the beach in 0.33 spülbaren hartplastikgläsern served and not as otherwise usual in 0.1 wegwerfbechern, after demand for the benefit of environmental protection-respect!     The service was unique, no matter wether in of the lobby, in the restaurants, at the beach or by the pool. The employees are always friendly and courteous, sometimes you might think you would the wishes anticipate, even without a tip, but in such a excelenntem service gladly gave. The waiters and the bartender are excellent trained. We had no complaints, since we from the prior to the departure best service and being.     The sports offer we didn't use, since we only snorkels were. There is a gym, a diving school, pedal boats and sea kayaks which one free of charge at the lagoon could be borrowed. At the southern lagoon, was the beach activities, there was the usual program - Volleyball, darts, latinodance and so on. The entertainers were very pleasant, however not intrusive, if you wanted you could join in, all other guests were but not from the entertainment or by loud music disturbed. The infinity pool gym and palmenpool was heated, the a bit more Infinity pool was not heated.

    We had a delphinausflug on sim sim booked, the their guests usually only the main street pick-up, because the properties start must. Because the path from the hotel to the main street about 3.5 kilometer is we had asked, whether a shuttle service to the main road may- for a fee, since we our entire sportgepäck with us. To our surprise and the many read adventures here, it was not a problem that sim sim us directly at the hotel could fetch, we should simply to the front desk tell, when we were collected, the driver should the hotel drive, we were even a great packed lunch for 2 persons wrapped, which we later on the boat distributed had, we would have that alone not at all everything can eat. You can't do without the excursion program of the tour operators and taxi service of the hotel rely on! Even if the hotel off the beaten track, you can at any time directly at the hotel pick up point, no matter which organizer, diving center, taxi drivers, or by private and so on. It is guest support! We were 3 adults and had a very relaxing vacation. We were already often in Egypt, however this hotel was the best. We will book it again. It is many nations visited, but the staff are very competent and fulfills all wish after possibility. The complex alone we really liked, however there is a big, big minus for the service in the main restaurant and harbor inn restaurant. There you get the feeling one is not welcome. The waiters Ignore one, chat instead of for the guests to take care of (tip it helps as there is not, will without comments and desired attention put in). A real nogo for this house. This was my first visit in Egypt. The hotel was recommended by the tavel agency and perfectly matched our needs and ecpectations of a perfect holiday. We were a party of ten people from twenty to eighty years of age and everybody enjoyed the stay. The food was great, the surroundings beautyful and the staff always friendly and helpful. The beach is very nice and offers good snorkeling opportunities.We even saw a sea turtle right outside the royal lagoon. read more

Although we demanding guests are, we were completely contented. As a non-smoker we subsequently such a room existed, as in other really in the room nice. The rauchgeschmack is in other words despite efforts of the staff never completely remove. Coffee Mozart with real (!) , fresh coffee and delicious, mitteleurop. The hotel convinced through its wonderful architecture, cleanliness, size of the rooms and especially friendly staff. We were for the 2. time in citadel azur and would come back any time spend our vacation there. The staff could us from our first visit remember and we were very accommodating treated. The staff are always very concerned, always enough water, fruit, pastry in the room. Room was always very well cleaned, every day fresh bedding etc. The rooms are massive, you feel there always well. The food is very diverse, one can always find something, what the own taste. There was ... additionally three restaurants to the selection, in this the food almost europaqualität. If you're friendly a criticism advised does, one strives for immediate help. The photos in the catalogs are the hotel not fair, it is beautiful, no comparison with all other hotels in Egypt. read more

Very nice resort. We had no reason to complain and would same book again. It was a very lovely week, the way too quickly passed. One quadtour you should definitely allow, fun and real fun. A city tour to Hurghada is absolutely not recommendable. read more

Very beautiful hotel. But very spacious. So if you in the back part the hotel quartered is, must be much laufkilometer during the stay to be expected. The hotel writes on the internet from, that you on request also babysitter can book. The ireland standard time not so! Baby monitors we could not use as we way too far away from the main building dining and bar areas were fantastic. Only children of 4a 12 years can you alone when you leave. The quality the essnes at the buffet leaves much to be desired. Very probably on russian needs! If ... you're looking for a really nice are looking for sandy beach. In vain. There is no beach! The hotel is from architecture very nice built and very big. If you don't want to walk could drive with the shuttle bus go. There are 3 pools, all are heated. The hotel's own reef is excellent, definitely underwater camera along. The diversity the fish is huge and colorful. The food was though sometimes lukewarm but nevertheless good and varied. You can but also very good 3 à la carte restaurant eat out. Altogether the holiday was a winner. We will in any case To this hotel again citadel drive. The hotel has a total of 514 rooms on the ground floor and in the 1 floor the 334 standard rooms have an area of 57 to 64 square meter, the 100 deluxe rooms an area of 72 square meter, plus still with us to the deluxe room a balcony of about 25 square meter. In addition come still 54 smaller rooms with 40 square meter and 16 suites between 90 and 275 square meter living space. Several restaurants and cafés laaden to linger. Between 07:00 and and 10:30 p. m. there is always something to eat and ... drink in the all inclusive package. The wifi in of the lobby is a bit weak in the transfer, in the the rooms but there are about the ip telephone a quick access, if you have the appropriate cable took. Of all ages of the guests a average rather medieval and older guests have, but also some young families with small children were there. As at the time about 90% of the guests from Russia and the former cis states came, was everything on this nationality aligned, also the entertainment. Many waiters spoke better russian than english. But the russians, as far as we could tell, not by drunkenness noticeable. read more

    The rooms are huge and are daily cleaned properly. In terms of the facilities rather somewhat simple. There was enough storage space, even in the bathroom, but no cabinets or bureaus with drawers. Everything has to be open. The walk-in closet is rather somewhat poor. For the summer season certainly adequate, but if in the colder seasons the clothes for the evening somewhat thick is, it is not with the 5 hangers for two people. The tv welcomes german satellite channels (ARD, ZDF, RTL, RTL II, nickelodeon and KIKA) and also english news station. Interestingly i could with the large russenpopulation only two russischce transmitter find. The safe is big enough and free of charge.

    Two meerwasserlagunen and three swimming pools relaxing bathing in. At the beach were breakwaters in approximately 20-30 metres from the beach after outside built.     The citadel azur is about 20 minutes by bus away from airport Hurghada, however in a mondlandschaftähnlichen desert directly at the sea. The hotel area was in the style of a citadel from natural stones and corals and fantastic landscape embedded, in between the pools with palm trees and the paths with multiple plants in a unique flowerage, at night with lights indirectly lit at night. The hotel has it's own harbour and one had the feeling, at the port from St. Tropez to sit. Added to this are two salt-water lagoon with appropriate entertainment (russian and a bit of english). On the approximately 1.6 kilometer long sandy beach is easy walking. From the far end of the residential buildings to the main building it was about 600 meters walk. Because of the lots of stairs is the hotel on not any case for strong handicapped people. However drives the taf taf, the hotel bus every 10 minutes round of 07:30 a. m. until midnight. The handicapped can also with the electro-cart from the hotel staff to the restaurants to be brought, however, you need then already lots of patience, all sense of time is in Egypt different. The entire hotel plant is very much maintained and we must admit, that this is one of the most beautiful resorts is, which we know and we stayed in the last 40 years have many seen. If you the hotel want to leave, you have the shuttle order, the for a fee only 2 times m day to Hurghada goes. There the hotel but not in the entire extent to be ready seems, we think, that as for the future still hope.

A hotel for feeling good. In january 2013 it was not crowded and you got everywhere space. Pools and lagoons are very nice laid out, as well as the beach. Child care was for that only german speaking child excellent. Staff were friendly and accommodating. read more

We were for the first time in citadel azur and would come back any time spend our vacation there. The staff are always very concerned, always enough water, fruit on the room to have. Room were always very well cleaned, every day fresh laundry etc. The rooms are massive, you feel there always well. The food is very diverse, one can always find something, what the own taste. There was additionally three restaurants to choose from. There are three pool to choose one of them was heated. At the beach would be bathing shoe recommendable. Altogether the holiday was a ... winner and a very successful holiday. read more
