Hotel Oasis^{(3 stars)}

The single rooms are tiny, about 2.50 x 3.00 m, the mattresses are under each criticism and each spring leave traces in the back. The furniture makes the impression, as if one would have slammed simple boarding school shut with the locking - I felt carried back to school land home stays before 30 years. Only difference: Small television with 1 - 2 German programs and an air conditioning system. The blankets usual in southern countries were in the cabinet - and after a view of it I had left them also there - and instead of its bitterly froze. The windows were leaky and rattled in the windy weather - the curtain bauschte itself in the room. The Deckenlampe with 3 naked bulbs did not spread also straight cosiness. The bath was illuminated by horrible greenish neon light and in the 70's the usual black sticking grooves did not make also a straight responding impression. Some bath tiles were broken and in the joints were in some places mould (however in small measure). The towels had rather the design, which is usual for table-ware cloths here, the showering cloth were a kind Waffelpiquee. At fundamental cleanliness there was to criticize however nothing great, the telephone receivers belonged also deseamed, times into the corners wiped, but bedlinen and towels were clean. Altogether I see an enormous blocking of investment within the range furniture simple. The hotel fulfills surely the official criteria to an Italian 3-Sterne-Klassifizierung - however in no case the expectation attitude, which is attached today to this number of stars.

During the Nebensaison only the breakfast (buffet) was offered. The quality was tidy.

The staff is friendly, helpful and multilingual. Cleanliness was tidy, both in the restaurant and the room agreement.

Pool in-grew, property, it gives couches and sun screens beautifully. To bathe was too cold it - allegedly pool towels against pledge and a small fee are made available. We did not use that.

The hotel is because of the “Lido” from Alghero - by a road of the dunes (with Pinien bewachsen) and the feinsandigen beach. The hotel is a rectangular box - one can only estimate the developing date - it looks as from the early 70's. There is something about 100 guest rooms - importantly to know: If one booked a single room, there are proven single rooms - in the first floor - with very large balcony (which is missing at room size, the balcony is slammed shut), however in the summer surely rather unpleasantly, since no shade on the balconies is. The staff at the reception is multilingual and very friendly, no problem, to make itself on German understandable in English and (naturally depending upon coworker) also. During the Nebensaison the restaurant opened only for the breakfast, otherwise probably dinner is served and it gives in the season a kind pizzeria. The public areas were probably reconditioned gradually up-to-date and to work addressing, likewise the pool range with beach chairs (gives also a child pool)

The beach is fast reached with a short walk over the road. The airport Alghero is not about 6 km far away into the old part of town of Alghero is it about 2.5-3 km, with the car 5 minutes. Some bars and restaurants are in the proximity, during the Nebensaison are opened not everything.

Well, where I begin? The rooms are appropriately furnished. Furniture, first of all the Flower power chair has their best years of course behind itself, however surely is for the price in Algehro correct. The balcony is beautifully large, it even gives a table and chairs and a Wäscheleine for towels. The largest horror in our vacation was the bathroom. It is not a problem, if inventory is somewhat older. At home one does not recondition also every 10 years the bath. In addition, this bath was simply dirty. From the discharge the shower stank it after Kloake. I had to even choke on particularly hot days and my meal nearly not in it would have remained. The showering head was unfortunately onto the wall screwed so that one no chance had to remove in 14 days the sand times correctly from all cracks. On all Mediterranean islands always rather a rivlet comes from the showering heads, but if one cannot remove these yet times, no feeling of cleanliness adjusts itself also after 15 minutes. Do not frighten that the water is very brownish. I think and hope that it is because of the high Eisengehalt of the water. It tastes anyhow also strong after iron. The TV brings 2 German programs however only in black-and-white Schneegestöber. There is no refrigerator or mini bar on the room, for it a rather good and safe room safe, for which no bail must be deposited. The room is sufficiently largely, only coat-hanger should one perhaps still few from at home carry itself forward.

The breakfast is not worth mentioning actually at all, I tries nevertheless times a too not destroying judgment to pass: There is the full English breakfast program. English breakfast does not have to be bad at all, however it stank in the breakfast area so after small sausages and bacon that it became nearly bad me. There is beyond that the Frühstückscroissants those typical for Italy the only one was, which we could designate and with benefit eat as breakfast. Naturally there is a large selection of cakes, but I cannot clean-plug nevertheless each morning of 4 pieces of sugar-sweet cakes into me to become over full!! Sausage and cheese stood always uncooled!! On the Tresen and or other fly had made itself cosy already it on it. The “juices” consisted of Zuckersirup, mixed with water. Even some Englishmen already in the morning sat in view of the breakfast with long faces at their tables. Breakfast gave it from 7:30 to clock to 10 o'clock. Of Al an insolence I felt that around 9:30 clock was partly already begun by the boss, the cakes etc. way course areas. If the Croissants were empty around 9:40 clock, there was also no more supply. That may not it in my opinion give, if breakfast to 10 o'clock is indicated, then must also around 9:30 clock still from everything be there, because straight around this time filled the breakfast area often again with young people. We had booked fortunately only ÜF. In the first evening we are into the restaurant belonging to to the hotel eat gone. My pizza was occupied with about 2 Kilos of Mozzarella and did not taste so at all to Italy. The shred of my friend was still completely raw in a place and tasted simply only widerlich. The meal in the restaurants in Algheros old part of town however is simply only great ones and more delicious mediterran.

The friendliness of the hotel personnel holds itself so the balance. Some are very much endeavored and friendly, others simply only brummig and badly launig. The staff speaks very good English, so that the communication functions perfectly. The women for the room cleaning are responsible are very nice, a to some extent clean room get one however only with regular tip gift. Etc. sheds actually was not removed but all into a corner was deseamed and then lie let.

The pool plant looks very beautifully and harmoniously out. Like also in the lower part of the hotel someone gave itself very much trouble with the organization of the external area here. Unfortunately this was continued in smallest way in the rooms. We do not have ourselves during the day at the pool stopped why I no data any leisure offers or animation to make can. On the Internet side of the hotel with a disco recruited however during the main season apparent closed remains. Just as little is opened the beautiful bar in the ground floor of the hotel. Only the pool bar was opened also evening. The cocktails are still stuck together correct, the tables and chairs of the sweat and the sun milk of the guests from the day. The beach pleased us very much (also nothing has with the hotel to do had…). It is broadly and also for a very long time, here finds to everyone a beautiful spot, also in summer holidays. The beach is very clean and cleared up, if one makes oneself the trouble and a bit runs, in the rear part (direction Fertilia). Here to a large extent vacation-end Italians and the atmosphere lie are very pleasant. There are beach chairs to also rent at the beach, we however bath mat + towels preferred.

At the sight of the hotel lobby, the reception etc. we had first a very positive impression and looked forward to our room. More to it comes in the appropriate categories. In the hotel there were mainly Scandinavian, English and Italian guests.

On the distances to the airport, city et cetera was reported already in detail. I found the environment of the hotel rather frightening. We ran in the first evening equal direction city. I had before already heard a quantity over the sardischen garbage problems and/or the problems with its disposal, but so badly I had not presented it to me. That about 3.5 km long footpath of the hotel into the city leads past at numerous overful and stinking garbage containers. Naturally garbage smells with 35° air temperature differently than at our Central European summer temperatures, but an emptying at least all 3 to 4 days would be nevertheless already appropriate. We could move partly only with nose and stopped breath direction city. The next Tabaterie with different beverages, - and meal offers (partly also German newspaper) is about 500m far away from the hotel. One can neglect the hotel own kiosk, here gives it not even cooled beverages. With hotel rooms without refrigerator conceivablly badly. The next larger supermarket is about distant for 20-25 going minutes (direction Alghero old part of town) from the hotel. Who would like to not exclusively bathe, but also something of the beautiful surrounding countryside of Alghero to see would like to do, should not actually not without a rented car. We had rented this thank God in Germany, are already the rents locally to hardly pay (starting from 65€/Tag + road use fee).

The room was largely cut actually, but all age-old and no longer up-to-date. Positively here one can evaluate the lockable legend at best.

Beside the totally bad breakfast, there was still the restaurant opposite the entrance of the hotel. Here we ate only once to evening and I can only say,…. One does not eat here better. My shred was still raw in a place completely and the fries was hard and drying. Simply a disappointment. , One could not call the pizza of my friend such. Rather a Mozzarella cake with enormous amounts of the selbigen cheese.

English the staff could, but so which one does not have nevertheless to put no more out than which in the today's time positive. That should be in a vacation area in the year 2009 now really nothing great more. All I already criticized the other things above.

As said, at the beach there is nothing to suspend. The pool made a clean impression on me; however I did not use it. As said, bar and disco had closed - only the exit bar had opened.

Thus three stars hotels always so the Bringer are not are all-side well-known, but this hotel is the hotel worst with distance, which I visited ever. The input area and the pool plant in the midst of the large palms are absolutely worth seeing and for me the only positive impression left. The condition of the rooms (probable 30-40) years old, were an absolute insolence. The charwomen cry in the morning starting from 8 o'clock always so loud over the corridor, which one could not out-sleep in 2 weeks not once. Then in the rooms obviously always the beds or other inventory are moved over and, so that also only no guest can sleep longer than 9 o'clock. I visibly put an empty soap box from “fun” on the first day into a corner of the bathroom. Because of the departure day this was still at the same place - as many about cleanliness and tidyness. The rooms were made relatively satisfyingly clean only if one put something tip on the sheet! In the Internet on the official homepage bar and disco become angepriesen… Nil return. These were always closed in the month July. The exit bar at the pool was like that la-la. The chairs stuck in the evening at 22 o'clock still from the sweat and sun cream of the guests - widerlich. Although nothing does not seize was the matter there, on average about 30-40 people, was the operations super unfriendly. To approximately 95% Englishmen and Scandinavians were there, were in principle no problem. The breakfast was simply only embarrassing and the largest insolence of all times. Neither cheese, sausage still yogurt is cooled. The flies sat always on the sausage and the rolls were rather so hard England Dinger. The cold beverages came from the machine and were disgusting sugar-sweetly. The coffee was more inedible. I do not understand it, that one it in Italy in hotels not gotten to serve freshly cooked coffee from a can. Thus so “strengthened”, one looks for naturally rather daily width and eats elsewhere. Finger away of made too expensive offer of the small hotel supermarket! Here there are times often not cooled beverages.

One can call the situation of the hotel good, since the beach was to be reached within 5 minutes. Where one itself at the long and very beautiful beach down puts, is left to everyone. The airport is distant and within shortest time by bus or taxi attainable, so for instance 10 km. Who looks for maintenance possibilities, badly one disappoints here. One must go into those to about 4 km removed old part of town to the meal, sauntering, shopping or celebrations. But however Alghero is worthwhile itself all the more. A really fantastically beautiful old part of town. One looks for purchase possibilities better in a large purchase center at the beginning of Alghero city. One is in any case dependant on a car, if one liked to see more from the island still.
