Luxury hotel with old component ( palace from the 19. Century) with wonderful rooms & suites, of which several direct view of the cheops & khafre pyramid have. In neubauteil prevails modern design cards, also partially pyramids view (rd. 40% the room).
All rooms very spacious and well equipped. Internet access is however subject to a charge & quite expensive (20 Euro f. 2 hour ) \u263a
Price in the restaurants rather high, but the location & the standard of the hotel accordingly -0.5 liter beer with 50 le ( etwa 6,5 Euro) & dinner for 2 without ... bottle of wine with 70 to 100 Euro. read more

We were thrilled by the ornate historic palace. A fairytale as' thousand and one night'! Impressive lobby and dining rooms. ' the most beautiful hotel throughout Cairo' say the tour operator suburb not free and 'if I my wife found, I want you to marry'. The hotel is outside cairos, directly at the giza pyramids. A plus, because it quiet than in the middle of the metropolis ( noise, traffic). However one imagines for the sightseeing in Metropolis-city ( for example egyptian museum, Nile, tarhir square) in the daily traffic. Doesn't matter, there is plenty of to be seen! The ... pyramids from the hotel see clearly. The staff are extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful - here are 5 * also 5 *. The room was modern and generous. We were very comfortable there. read more

Every member of the ' the old days' searches, will find in Mena pants architecturally exactly. 'Palace' -in the old part of you get the feeling in the past, and so to travel presented also the whole hotel, in many details, as the old 'Grand hotel'. The combination with the old wing and modern hotel guests needs in Gartentrakt of the hotel we thought it was very well laid out. Restaurant and bar, with live bar-this music and excellent cocktails in the old wing a as a hotel guest the described above can soak up the atmosphere. The hotel is ... very well maintained and in an authentic oriental style, without being tacky.
the stay garden wing fulfilled all expectations and the comfort of a five star hotel. We had a room with a pyramid view, the flair additional enormous support.
it is not by, for example, that the Mena pants the leading 'Grand hotel' in Cairo and princes, politicians and celebrities for well over a century as a domicile is selected. read more

Even closer is only possible in the pyramid itself! Unfortunately, the journey from the airport to the hotel is very tiring. We had neither the the return to the airport, one and a half hours. The quality of our stay, the view of the pyramids from the room made everything more than made up for it. Right at the entrance to the pyramids, this old, but great one in shot held Hotel. We were picked up from the airport for free. Upgrade to a room with a pyramid view was also free of charge. At the front desk was the ... usual cold drink and cold towels. Room and bathroom were clean and without any complaint to hundred % recommended. read more

The hotel is located nestled in a massive garden on an area of 16' 000 meters/2. A really paradise-like retreat to noise from the street a little to escape. Also feel in comparison to many other hotels not is overwhelming.
The hotel complex is in several building divided, which were very spacious and modernly designed.

It's a good three quarters of an hour from the airport the hotel. The hotel is very large u-shaped and arranged, what the new wing regards. Apart from that it is the main building. Overall, the hotel was in very good condition and very clean. read more

We have chosen the hotel as a base for our cairo-stay.
The hotel is still in remodeling phase. Impairments
Had we but not like noise or dirt! The construction is due to a complex separated from the rest of the colored privacy.
Our room were in the new wing with Pyramid view building. A view on the pool from the balcony you could only from second floor upwards catch. Still has the surcharge for the pyramid view well worth, since the side to the pyramids significantly more quiet than the street and the street noise is so good to hear ... nothing is.
The very spacious room were clean and functional.
Of particular quality can be no question, in my opinion.
The service of all hotel staff is friendly and correct. We had the impression not, that service is expected also a tip.
The food variety for breakfast was very good. It was for all tastes and preferences something for everyone. The quality of the food was in order.
The old and original house boasts be historic ambience. During your drink in the hotel bar adopted, one has a very beautiful view on the Cheops pyramid. Unfortunately was during our stay, beautiful sun terrace with view on the the pyramids not open. The rates are for this category of hotel was adequate, but at the top end of the reasonable.
Bottom line: those willing is for the unique location directly at the pyramids and
Colonial style of this historical hotel to accept an extra charge, the is well cared for here. The new wing is spacious, has no relation to the historic old building! read more

The price/performance ratio in this hotel is absolutely not. You pay for in this hotel, the counts to the least expensive hotels cairo, for the location to the pyramids. But it has not a place of the plant a view on the pyramids. The brochures pool with positively rated pyramids view does not more, instead, is built here, the new pool is large and clean, but no view. It is also the hotel's own golf course with Pyramid view not more, the whole area is a construction site. Also the room in the old building are currently being renovated. The ... new garden wing is large and tidy, but without charm. The breakfast is of poor quality appalling. It is no fresh eggs, the coffee is almost inedible. In addition you sit in a windowless room with no natural light. My tip: book for 2/3 of a first-class hotel in the city and a half days from flight to the pyramids. But they save the Mena house! read more

A fantastic hotel, in a chaos of cairo and typically British. Classy, but with english always slightly kitschy imperial style.
The 150 years you can see the extremely house not to. No miracle, was up 15 years ago it CA10 completely renovated and expanded. Our room were with Pyramid view booked, truly a fantastic view. The main advantage is the quiet, however, our room went into the hotel's own park with no traffic noise. Without the room pyramids view go direction pool area (very beautiful) but also towards a street with much traffic, therefore also. three restaurants, as well as ... a bar, reading room. ETA in accordance with european five stars. This hotel is in the oriental in Bangkok or style the raffles in Singapore. If you love style has it, if you don't want to do without it has. read more
