We have one night at the nh Hamburg-Altona spent, because we are the musical tarzan have looked at.

Very nice, clean hotel with good transport links, bus stop directly opposite. Parking spaces available. Big clean room, with a tv, desk, armchair, and minibar. Very comfortable beds. Only negative, when we arrived had the curtain a piece of down and it remained so!
Very tasty breakfast with a large selection, everything which one wishes itself! Enough seats available. Friendly staff. Would not hesitate to come back to this hotel. read more

Surprisingly good hotel a good rate. So value for money is really hard to beat. In addition, that the hotel too modest with the location is. We were with our visit mostly satisfied. What did not work was the service for breakfast. It was not enough staff available. The existing staff were not very attentive. It took beisoielsweise almost 10 minutes until we cutlery and mugs got, these also only on request.
Rooms have a good size. Cleanliness was apart from getrockener toothpaste on the sink was okay. read more

Great days to shoppne, christmas markets, musical (new flora tarzan easily reachable on foot), city explore. With the Hamburg Card super flexible. Bus station diagonally opposite of the hotel( 15 minutes walk to the city center). Mostly free parking (not enough). Small shopping street in alltona /ottensen. A bit chaotic, partly. Respektloses staff (rüder attitude and insults between them before the guests, past not service a 4 star hotel ) apart from that great breakfast. Clean quiet room. Gladly again! read more

The NH hotel Hamburg-Altona has its 4 star rating. Very friendly reception staff. Breakfast everything your heart desires. The rooms are very clean and are cleaned daily. Service at the bar excellent. The staff rinigungskräfte, breakfast and at the bar is very accommodating and always very friendly. All together definitely recommendable. The hotel offers basically the familiar nh -quality, especially the breakfast was very diverse and delicious.
Disturbing were the was clearly on the ceiling perceptible thuds felt, you can sleep, ideal it was not.
Basically may the rooms, at least our room, in future be modernised, the furniture was easy run-down, but ok.
Suboptimal is unfortunately the connection to the network, the next stop is less than a kilometer away. Whether in the immediate proximity a bus drives we didn't further considered.
All together I would the 4 stars are overrated see. read more

The hotel is very suitable for city breaks - by a good bus connection ( stop directly in front of the hotel) one comes comfortably to the center ( Jungfernstieg, rathhausmarket etc.)

We were already in several NH -hotels. This is unfortunately one of the worse. We had a room on the first floor, which already when entering a very bad first impression made, since it extremely unpleasant smell. The attempt the room to air it was even worse, because of the opposite lunch a obtrusive ' fries-odor' into the room moved. The impression deteriorated as we the bathroom entered. There was still the toilet brush in the toilet. Something like that should not take in a four star hotel not be easy! The hotel is quite loud, however I would in ... a city hotel not negative values. The room itself was OK, but it was missing any attention to detail. As example, I would like to make the point here, that a lamp a Schimmerlicht offered, whereby the other rather Flutlichcharakter had. The inside bathroom was too small and undurchdacht (small entrance into the tub, shower's wall outward swinging out, whereby the whole bathroom schwomm ). The access to the public transport is great ( bus station in the immediate area) and the staff were normally just great. There was no time to attention or a friendly word. read more

Great hotel, to explore Hamburg, good connection to bus and from there to S-Bahn. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Really great. Food in the evening à la carte recommendable. Tasted great.
Tips:
Hotel is located in the stressemannstraße as the new flora, where 'tarzan' appearing (only 3 stations with the bus line 3 - every 10 minutes). Great! Also good connection to the fish market, with the bus line 2 to train station Altona and then weitermit the 112 to fish market. Great! read more

We were about 5 years once in the same hotel and as we very satisfied were we booked it again. Only was this time the toilet not clean and crush for breakfast very big. We were the restaurant and had to wait until a table was empty and we had been allocated. My wife is a large musicalfan, and by bus the in the immediate area of the hotel drove off is the neue flora reachable in a few minutes. It's only three stations (ticket is still under kurztarif / kurzstecke ) and already stands one before the musical theatre. ... Really good. read more
