Pacifica being a really nice city, not too close from SF, but not that far either, I have chosen for the forth time to spend a few nights in the Pacifica Lighthouse Hotel.
The rooms are quite big, and comfortable. The service is excellent, as is the food in the restaurant. I always enjoy some pancakes overthere in the morning. The view from the rooms / from the beach, over the Pacific is just splendid. There's a small path to climb the hill next to the hotel. From the top, the sunset is one of the most beautiful view you'll ... enjoy in your life.
The swimming pool / jacuzzi add the final touch to have a nice stay in Pacifica. read more

This bw is just amazing directly at the coast. The sound is omnipresent. From the outside the hotel is due to the direct location on the Pacific ocean to the part of the salt pitted. The inside is typical best Western standard. Is very recommendable the bar, amazing atmosphere. read more

A really nice hotel directly on the seafront. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You get a parking space in the garage. From there take the lift directly to the hotel. The room was large enough, clean, you get fresh towels every day. To San Francisco about 20 minutes by car. or you can set the car train from and picks up there from left. Supermarkets, gas station, restaurants and fast food restaurants are available. You can also 2 minutes from the hotel. by car to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would always stay in this ... hotel again if in the area. read more

The hotel is right on the highway 1also trips toward Big Sur great. It is however, despite the proximity of the highway quiet. Main advantage is the free open for a rental car garage under the hotel. Of course it is actually only for overnight stays recommended. But for a 3 star hotel from the "estimated" early 70s directly on the sea by American standards well maintained, here I had already experienced differently. read more

We only stayed one night here on the way from Hawaii to Munich. The internet site of the hotels Flatters but very. It was worn and in the room we didn't dare to take our shoes. The carpet wasn't really been cleaned. The pool was not in good condition, the breakfast (I had waffles) dry and tasteless. However you have a really great view of the sea from the restaurant. The drive into the city with a taxi costs $45 from San Francisco. The hotel so if you only for a one-night stopover it isn't suitable for you, since it ... was too far from the airport. For longer stays but it is not very suitable as there are no facilities nearby. There was no public transport. You can only walking. We wouldn't stay again. The house is a bit old. read more

If you want to experience San Francisco, but not necessarily have to stay in San Francisco, this hotel is a good choice. The location right on the beach is impressive, otherwise is around the hotel is not very busy. The hotel restaurant was too expensive for us, convenient shopping, dining you have to go by car drive. The room was with 2 adults and 2 children good inhabit the room was a good size, and clean. The hotel but is a basement garage with adjoining hotel complex. The pool is very small but clean. To San Francisco (Fisherman's Wharf) it ... takes about 20 minutes in the morning, retour takes it (at least in the rush hour) a bit longer. In San Francisco you should rent a car park (about $15 per day) and otherwise with the trolley or by tram (3 -day ticket was quite cheap). Alcatraz need to book one from home, as the rides are booked at least 1 week. read more

The hotel itself is very nice. However it through the weather (rain, salt water and salty winds) neglected. A fresh coat of paint would really matter. You can be in the open car garage free parking. Moreover, you can make use of wireless Internet access at the hotel free of charge. read more

The location of the hotel is impressive and for San Francisco Visitors very cheap. With a rental car you in about 30 minutes in the city. But the management should be on the edges start to renovate pat, otherwise it will be forfeited. rusty metal unkempt everywhere, a pool, a loveless fitness room. The staff should be trained, respectful dealing with customer complaints or at least slick lying, if you don't like a problem. A shame, from the hotel you could certainly a gem if you wanted to. read more
