The hotel is very centrally located, 5 -minute walk from the main street laugavegun away.
The rooms are okay, i found the bathroom too small (small shower, very small sink).
The bathroom it was cleaned and towels are changed every day, however in the room not vacuumed or cleaned.
Breakfast i found for a 3 star hotel good.
Next door was a restaurant 'Harry's ', good value for money and very good fish. read more

We spent new year's eve in Reykjavik celebrated and the hotel as starting point for various excursions used. The room was small but nice. The cleaning could have been more thorough, as the dirt from the winterschuhen in the room apportioned and i'm not sure, whether in the week the soil at all cleaned.
In the hotel there are a lot of brochures and maps with the planning of excursions help.
Convenient is the in-house parking garage if you with a rental car on the way is. The location of the hotel is also perfect. One is in a flash ... on the shopping street and restaurants are on the way everywhere. If you go not far, you can in the restaurant la luna next door also delicious food.
All in all: a good location. One is fast on the miklabraut, one of the main streets of Reykjavik.
And the needed to get used to the smell in the icelandic hot water is probably everywhere like that-o read more

Rooms at quality, furniture, heating (insufficiently) very modest, even if expectations were not very high. The exterior of the hotel corresponds not with the interior, also regarding the price-performance ratio.

For less than 2a 3 days it goes. Besides that only suffices for sleeping. To hardly recommend. So only to pass through thought. read more

Convenient for the short break, the underfloor heating in the bathroom was ideal in the winter.
Pizzeria next to the hotel recommendable nonetheless, cheap and delicious.

I have 4 nights in the hotel in a single room. My 1. room was quite old, the balcony/french door was very leaky, it has even reingeschneit and so ripped off. I had complained about this, i was then told, that we finally Iceland are. However, you could even on Iceland demand, that it cannot the rooms reinschneit and it was cold, not even the heater helps! After multiple nachfragens came the receptionist, and the window viewed. Some time after a few hours i then a new room received.
Tv channels were only 3, no german channels. Only this on ... the edge.
Breakfast was also nothing special, on the 1. day there were no boiled eggs more or not. On the next day the eggs were cold.
The only positive is close proximity to center, about 10 minutes walk. read more

Had a standard single room, about 15 sqm, very small bathroom, appropriately equipped, TVs with five free channels and various. Pay TV, safe in the room, very centrally located, about 500 m to the pedestrian zone with alarm clock in the morning, etc. for the reception. Not reliable, better bring an alarm clock breakfast good - restaurant itself much too expensive (no food under €30 ) HOTEL REYKJAVIK = not to be confused with the hotel REYKJAVIK or the GRAND HOTEL REYKJAVIK - there was always ask which hotel Reykjavik as be meant ( with tours etc. ) read more
