We were as a group on the way, the stay in the hotel was quite pleasant until the daily sun loungers terror the some german and austrian pesionisten specified itself. (you insisted every day on the same beach chair at the same space to beach chairs, even if these people only in the afternoon arrived were the loungers full time occupied and the every day)
The staff was very friendly. The food good and varied. Overall

For a star hotel very good. For a longer stay we recommend a bungalow to take. Baden in the sea only conditionally possible. Through the strong surf is the bottom in the banks heavily rough. The hotel we have before and after a round trip for a short halfway point. Very recommendable also since it was close to the airport. Taxi to the airport costs between 10 and 12 Euro. No transfer about agent, way too expensive. read more

Great beach the very quiet is... The sea one almost for oneself.
The coyotes a fast in peace if you a few times friendly said no.

For active holiday makers on the most beautiful days of the year the, the hotel is 'peace-full ' totally unsuitable. No leisure time activities, everything must the vacationer itself. A vereinsamter volleyball court and a ping pong table is everything is available. And, only for dinner, unacceptable (and a 1 saxophonist, 1 banjospieler, 1 guitarist-on salary searching) is the evening entertainment. At 22:00 hours is one with the bartender alone. read more

Departure at 2:00 o'clock early by Colombo. Instead of the airport depend, here cheap for one day room booked, for relaxed, with very good dinner and shower at 22:30 hours to the nearby located airport drive (about 20 minutes with a car). read more

Construction and equipment of Goldi Sands as comparison with luxury hotels. This criterion would be however unfair. GS is upper middle class and in this league really good. Cleanliness and food are really reasonable. Should be emphasized the helpful and always very polite staff! About the location: into. Airport Colombo by car about minutes reachable (1500 Rupee). Day trips you will because of the location practically only a goal per day and then long by car on the way. Tip: not the entire vacation the GS book, but first round trip book and at the end the GS relaxation. ( ... Planning ) tours at the GS suburb be booked. read more

We had only for three nights I booked to shopping trips respectively well as family visits in negombo.
But good, because central located middle-class hotel.
The building power (beginning July 2012 ) altogether a unfinished impression, as it is still in the renovation is ( open concrete pillars in the restaurant area, as well as concrete terrace).
At night partially. Very loud by striking doors ( locals ' guests' especially at weekends) and various current aggregates in the interior area.
Room (105 ) always clean with kettle for tea respectively coffee ( not self-evident for 3 star)
When Gewitterschauern it ... powerfully by the restaurant, the installed shutters are ineffective and to food is unpleasant.
Catering ( half board) completely reasonable with good service without complaints.
Clean, goldfarbener sandy beach; unfortunately partly. Many salesmen. read more

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Something to complain about, is the volume of the main street. There were many weddings instead, therefore also noise until far in the night. And the loud slamming of doors at night and in the morning, no relaxing sleep. Had never seen so little sleep on vacation like in this hotel. read more

We were in the hotel very friendly and very warmly welcomed. The room was always clean and well maintained. Every day there were new towels: per person a large and a small. The hotel complex and the beach were very clean and tidy, every day was cleaned and once per week was a gardener.
The food was well arranged, there is something for everyone. The choice is large enough.
The pool is clean and well maintained. For the swimming pool and the hotel's own Canvas chairs at the beach were free cushions and towels made available.
In short: we will ... the hotel Goldi sands soon visit again and will of course also recommend it. read more

70 room, with a view of the sea, very nice tasteful room decor. Beautiful bath. A restaurant and bar with a view of the sea. Everything very clean and tidy. We have all ink and were especially very impressed by the food. Unfortunately very lots of pensioners those there their long-term holiday there ( platzhirsche ). Many germans, swiss and dutch. Age 50 +. Nothing for guests the entertainment or tourist bustle. Definitely not suitable for children. But perfect for rest and relaxation. Staff were always friendly and willing to help. Complete-really great three stars hotel. Had in Asien much ... more expensive hotels but with worse food. Were more than just satisfied. read more

We were after a short stay in Dubai for 10 days in Goldi sands negombo. The cons could not be greater. We loved it at the Goldi sands much. The staff were always friendly, there was never a criticism worthy point. The location to the beach and the city is optimal. Excursions with Vincent, we did at the beach learned were totaly class. The hotel complex, as well as the beach were regularly cleaned. The hotel was to 80% with German vacations occupied. Since Sri Lanka very much nature offers and we really great filled in Goldi sands we will ... once again a trip to negombo make read more
