The hotel is quite OK, not really worth the money though. We stayed in a promo room, which was the cheapest room. We didn't expect so much, but we were a bit dissapointed. The room was not so clean, and the aircon was not adjustable, making it extremely uncomfortable in the night. The staff, however was friendly and helpful, and the pool area was very nice. read hotel review

Sri Lanka is a great destination for experience-hungry and young (perhaps not so wealthy) and open-minded people. For little money you can travel a lot and experience. Highly recommended is the highlands and the best after badulla trip, brand: fantastic! The hotel is on the standards of Sri Lanka measured, world class. Very clean and open. Questions were answered friendly and tried hard, small problems with the safe, etc. was the friendly staff immediately to the place! We stayed in the Sri Lanka also different experiences. The food was in our opinion, the service staff partly too hard. The plates ... were cleared away immediately with a small essenspause. If you don't immediately to the buffet during ramadan, but first the aztmosphäre or the weather is, one permanent pointed out, that you can help yourself at the buffet. The food makes you feel partly very observed, because the staff is very anxious, quickly. For our taste a bit too much of a good holiday, but for the rather older guests came certainly good, typical german discipline-) There are many shopping possibilities in the area, but always (for Sri Lanka standards) absolute ripoff prices. Supported and invested a few quid not the rip-off, in order to Negombo city (5 minutes) or to colomco (via highwayexpress in an hour) to drive. For a start or the end of the stay and the hotel is very recommendable, two weeks in a row but it certainly not here as a young couple. But the country was also much too much to offer. Our tip: pack the backpack and discovered a Sri Lanka, it's worth it! read hotel review

We spent a very pleasant time at the goldi sands excellent. The location right on the beach, the quality of the food and the nice staff gave us a beautiful holiday. The hotel his years, there is huge and mold in the bathroom, the proximity to the ocean and the salt-laden air help. For 3.5 stars is the service definitely super, all staff are helpful and friendly and speak partly even german, the buffet in the evening is very good and varied. However, if you want to party was at the wrong place here, in the evening there was ... only a band or other music to eat. What we particularly liked was the weddings, one saw beautiful couples and although our room was across from the baalsaals was we were not disturbed by noise. Outside the hotel and on the street are always tuck tucks with which you cheap in the city. The sea is however quite strong unterstömungen, don't swim out very far. read hotel review

We had a great holiday at the goldi sands and can highly recommend this hotel for vacationers, who want to relax, but nevertheless eigeninitiativ active.     If pork knuckle with sauerkraut searches, is here wrong, but otherwise we had a culinary delicacy after the other in our almost 3 week stay experience. If you didn't find anything here, it was their fault. Every night typical and unlandestypisches food to choose from. We only had half board and prices than fair rate.

    Beach directly in front of the hotel; airport about 30 minutes by taxi or Tuk-tuk; Negombo directly in front of the door, what more could you want? Excursions to the region over the travel line or the local organizer bookable here we highly Sunny and his sons recommend it. The small excursion office is located across the street, if you about 100 metres left from the hotel. We have several excursions with the guys and have never been disappointed. Very competent and friendly.

Typical hotel for the mass tourism, is very beautiful, if one the permanent tourists-like action, definitely recommended, as the rooms with sea view and the service in general are very good. We were in Colombo, Negombo, Mirissa and kandy and booked this hotel at the end of the vacation because of its diverse possibilities much appreciated. The hotel management it was also on 2. day our standard room to a deluxe sea view room with no extra charge to change. The latter have in the first stick left to right a terrace with at least 5m (number 106) up to ... 10m length (section 112), but it was only 1,5m tiled the rest is relatively ugly concrete, didn't really understand what the said to be good, but. So what. In any case, we can the hotel as a choice for a Sri Lanka holiday recommend it. read hotel review

The goldi sands was a rather small plant, that is kept very clean. We had all-inclusive and were very satisfied with it. The guests were mainly german or english. read hotel review

    The room is ok, cleaned daily. Air-conditioning was quiet and was not on the bed. We have mainly the fan used. During the absence of electricity flows, put a piece of cardboard in the slot for the key card. The room lock left, only lock from the inside, then from the outside only pulled. From home soluble coffee with oneself. Kettle and drinking water available.

    The quality of the food is really very good, there was fish, seafood, chicken, beef and local curries. The beer was drinkable, wine must be paid (about 12 Euro the bottle) it is really a lot on offer.

    From the airport Colombo the transfer time 30 minutes. The beach is 80 metres from the hotel, was cleaned daily. The sea is through waves rough, but swimming is possible. A well stocked mom and pop store is about 700 meters away (in front of the hotel on the right, after 700 meters on opposite side of the road, with ice cream parlor)

The friendliness in this hotel is really sensational. We felt very comfortable. The new year's party was a culinary dream. There are many events in the hotel but at least after midnight are completed. So you can at an acceptable time sleeping. We stayed on the balkob and had therefore a quieter room. read hotel review

Super nice little hotel, very friendly to 4 days one has the feeling, that everything a large family is. Hotel is around the clock kept very clean (beach, rooms, garden and restaurant). To all the something to complain about please only once on the price and the star gazing for us was the price performance ratio just top. So a service and friendliness know we cannot even from a 5 star hotel There were mainly german guests in the goldi sands. The rest was mixed. For dinner, the hotel was usually well attended, as many groups there a stopover einlegten. ... However, it was never crowded. The average age lay between 40 and 50 years so was the evening entertainment rather cosy. Who needs party was wrong here. Still gave it to nearly each evening live music. read hotel review

    The rooms were well equipped. We had a balcony room with sea view. However, the hotel measures regarding the many raben and on the roof a net attached, that until the floor hung. But rather a network in the field of vision as the vogelscheiße on the tables and chairs. In the room there was the usual hotel facilities: long dresser with flat screen tv, couch, bed, large closet with safe, and refrigerator. Coffee and tea with a kettle were also there. The bathroom was with a large shower. The rooms had, of course, air conditioning and ceiling fan, as well as radio. As mentioned above, everything was very clean.

    Who here hungry from the table was your own fault. The selection was plentiful and varied. Every evening there was another theme, from barbecue, to italian and local dishes everything was there. Also the salad buffet and the dessert left nothing to be desired. Of course you should note that the in Sri Lanka everything, especially local food, a bit keener is. Even at lunch time there was a huge choice.

    The service was just great! There was really nothing to complain about. The staff all speak perfect english and many also german. One had not for a table in the dining area and at the bar one was immediately asked what you wanted to drink would like, without the staff with tips had. Also a beach service always came again and asked, whether you can bring. Room cleaning we can only say top. Already on the first day, the towels were to figures on the bed folded. But the room and especially the nassbereicht as shower, toilet was very clean. Not only in the rooms, but also the public toilet at the bar became several times on the day meticulously cleaned and kept clean.

    There was no entertainment. Every afternoon or evening played some employees on the beach football, which certainly have nothing against if one wanted to participate. The place on the beach was large and one had also not for a long time after a couch or a shady place find. Also beach chairs with towels we didn't have.     Right on the very long beach (public beach). On the streets, to the right and left of the hotel, there are different bars, and shops. Of souvenir to small supermarket was everything available. An atm is also in about 10 minutes walking distance. To the airport it was about 25 minutes drive. If you don't want to walk can at any time with the famous' tuk-tuk's a tour.

Dated small house, partly renovated On the first floor with large terrace per room, unfortunately with only 2 chairs and a small table. No beach chairs, probably, because the many crows in the area with their excrement for pollution concerns. Shops in the hotel: a single tiny jewellery shop Guest structure: mostly adults, hardly any children, many transit (1-2 nights). Locals: during our stay (13 days) found 5 times occasions foreign guests for example companies, instead. The usually already in the morning and took some until late in the night. Due to the small grounds found the occasions between zimmerfronten ... and liegestuhlreihen instead.     2' rows couches under sonnendächern and palm trees. With cushioned lounge chairs surrounding and beach towel. Condition ok. Pool: size about 10 times 10 metres, while the supper played 1-3 musicians. No kids club. On the sea: local fishermen have catamaran or boat trips along. The goldi sands is for couples, couples with children and suitable for persons travelling alone, peace, relaxation and a pleasant ambience. The staff is friendly, the service Very courteous and the proximity to interesting destinations ( pinnawela, kandy, wilpatu national park, etc.) Top. The beach is almost 80 meters wide, the grounds of the goldie sands always well kept. A multicultural Guest list is programme and it will not be boring here. Of course this is a subjective assessment of us. Animation as a frühsportprogramm with schwimmübungen you will find it here, but there are a volleyball court, a ... billiards table and of course the indian ocean every day. Our conclusion: a hotel, which by its culinary pleasures (here we give a smooth 1), its cleanliness and his staff, which was always accommodating and helpful is, a wonderful island on Sri Lanka is. The whole staff is incredible helpful and very friendly. (thank you Fatima). The cuisine is excellent, always varied and plenty of choice. (however, we loved the hot curries). Live music every night. There are many guests, for dozens of years back. This is in fact a ' transit hotel'. We stayed for 15 days, to relax. Great beach and great people. Room service and the cleanliness was perfect. If one of the not very beautiful architecture of the hotel is, is this hotel super-we have stayed in lots of 5 stars hotels, this has only 3 and we were very ... positively surprised. The guide omali is very nice and gave us a lot about the country with a excursion tells. Particularly reliable it is not-and he did once at 8:00 o'clock in the morning, called, because of nothing-we were very annoyed. We were as a group on the way, the stay in the hotel was quite pleasant until the daily sun loungers terror the some german and austrian pesionisten specified itself. (you insisted every day on the same beach chair at the same space to beach chairs, even if these people only in the afternoon arrived were the loungers full time occupied and the every day) The staff was very friendly. For a star hotel very good. For a longer stay we recommend a bungalow to take. Baden in the sea only conditionally possible. Through the strong surf is the bottom in the banks heavily rough. The hotel we have before and after a round trip for a short halfway point. Very recommendable also since it was close to the airport. Taxi to the airport costs between 10 and 12 Euro. No transfer about agent, way too expensive. read hotel review

A good starting point to discover the island. Very friendly staff (were really surprised). Great beach the very quiet is... The sea one almost for oneself. For active holiday makers on the most beautiful days of the year the, the hotel is 'peace-full ' totally unsuitable. No leisure time activities, everything must the vacationer itself. A vereinsamter volleyball court and a ping pong table is everything is available. And, only for dinner, unacceptable (and a 1 saxophonist, 1 banjospieler, 1 guitarist-on salary searching) is the evening entertainment.
