' welcome at home'-we were greeted in German. All employees, especially Hytham are friendly and extremely competent met. We felt great all round and feeling refreshed. The superior rooms are nice and close by the pool or sea and the beach is so nice as in Caraïbes! We would gladly come again! read more

In the absolute low season in the hotel, which is where the pool quality and the lack of external purchase/ restaurant Situation explained. The staff gave themselves however great effort and the beach is absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a cheap price ( 60 euros per double room) it was recommendable nonetheless. read more

Pure wellness-the turquoise coast
Borg El Arab 'Hotel', nearby Alexandria, 17,07. -07 AUGUST 2011
Hotel/room:
The hotel was about 14 years and finished by the then owner Hilton holdings. Then it was sold at Egyptian owner, in particular Italian guests in a large number of conditionalities. A third of the hotel and is currently under construction, but no construction noise.
The hotel is located directly on the beach, the water is Turquoise blue, away from any street or other sources. Here you can really relax and unwind in the best way, if you want! Activities not pushy.
The transfer ... time from the airport took about this in Alexandria 1 hour, a new airport is under construction, completion flights from Germany-uncertain with.!
Main building and a bungalow area was very clean and spacious. Should you prefer a room in the main building, since bungalow room with direct access to the pool area are likely to arise and unwanted 'harassment' here.
Hotel rooms very spacious with plenty of storage space, very good for Egyptian conditions. Modern air conditioning with ceiling ventilator. Phoenix-travel is at present the only German and European suppliers.
Food and drink:
It may not be for Egyptian standards. You should still not be satisfied, in the middle bungalow settlement there were enough shopping possibilities, about ten minutes away
Travel support locally:
Phoenichts-Travel line with Mr Mohamed Atta Ismail very well staffed. Very thoughtful, friendly, helpful and professional.
Beach:
Ultra-fine-grained, kilometer long, almost an empty sand beach, where the leisurely walks, if you Palastwache 'of the Egyptian' hotels that convinced, that you just want to go for a walk on the beach (a pen works there!).
Staff:
Very thoughtful, friendly, courteous, not 'baksheesh-oriented', in Europe and its languages very interested. Apart from the Phoenix-soups Mohamed one at the hotel spoke German but no one; English essential!
Honestly:
You should avoid the Ramadan season as travel time, because life (also in the hotel) subject to other legislation.
If on holiday you couldn't do without the usual soap operas, should resign itself so that, in the Arabic television channels only receives, the only source of BBC-orient, with little European information.
If you long flight and don't like to travel, you should know, that at the moment there are only from Frankfurt/meter with a stopover in Cairo and Alexandria reached about three hours of waiting period.
Summary:
We'll be back to the turquoise coast in the same hotel, but, if the new airport in Alexandria is completed and non-stop flights from Germany are possible. read more
