Hotel Holiday Inn Express-Halifax/Bedford^{(2 stars)}

After landing on the Halifax airport in the early evening we had our rental car and were the about 2 kilometer to the hotel went. Guest parking directly in front of the entrance. Check in smooth with especially friendly staff at reception. One even spoke German perfectly. We got a very nice and quiet room on the front side (the back rooms go to the nearby and noisy highway 102). Equipment was elevated Heinrich von Ligertz, the bathroom okay and spacious, on the beds we had a good night's sleep and with the cleanliness we were very satisfied. Now for ... the food: than Hilton Beach Resort it possesses no restaurant. Since we were not in the mood anymore on late night by car drive away, we followed the friendly recommendation the front desk and went across the parking in the neighboring Hilton Hotel. In the restaurant we got a great dinner together with our first delicious Nova Scotia wine. The in the room price included breakfast was adventurous. It was in a sober breakfast room, in which every guest even the responsibility carried: one of plastic cutlery and Pappdeckelteller, line up at the buffet full of machines, the at the push of a button pancakes made, eingeworfene slices of toast b-B-queue with, coffee in a paper cup filled and a supply of scrambled eggs bereithielten.
