One star less would be acceptable, but four? Of us unfortunately not. For a longer stay we would this hotel definitely not recommend, for a, two nights ok. The breakfast buffet was very well arranged, the scrambled eggs cold and dry. The multicolored carpets in the room may also once again be renewed. Despite the staff were very friendly. read more

We stayed 3 nights over new year's eve in the hotel and we were happy.
Our double room was very large and well equipped. Cleanliness/changing were reasonable.
Small balcony, flat screen tv available. Bath very big and like new.
Small comment:
A travel agency at home friend with the room less luck. He had a single room on the 4. floor.
It was missing there telephone, and mirror, only very small tv, in bathroom was mold in the shower area.
Service was on one day not at all made. It may be just returned after and gradually renovated and this ... room wasn't it
But as written, it was the opposite. We were a larger group and the other double rooms were perfect-so we can recommend this hotel read more

We were to 2. over a weekend at the arcona on havelufer. It was the right choice as a starting point our Potsdam-tour. Because of the direct access to bus and train you can reach the center in a few minutes. The Schloss Sanssouci you can easy to reach on foot and explore. Our summary: gladly again! read more

The hotel is beautiful location although a bit far from a sights Potsdam. General the hotel is really beautiful only the rooms I liked nothing special. They were clean, but quite spectacular. The food in the restaurant was oK but a bit expensive. read more

No safety deposit box in the standard room. Curtains dusty. Entrance evenings difficult to find. Good traffic connections. But general improvement in relation to the cleanliness, whereby the beds were clean. Price-performance satisfactory. read more

Despite complaint, mold in the bathroom. Breakfast was all right, only the staff were not on the number of guests designed. It constantly things like coffee scrambled eggs, rolls, sparkling wine. It took manchamal more than a quarter hour until refilled. Also beimm 3-course menu on the abnd you had the impression from a Unterbestzung in the service. The bread to R appetizer swurde forget, you wanted it us then for dessert rich. read more

Way too expensive for small narrow room, no closet, no glasses, only the bathroom was okay. In the breakfast room was no table, everywhere was used cutlery and it was loud and hectic. The staff were totally overwhelmed. We fled to the adjacent shopping center and sat in peace coffee and rolls. read more

This hotel is Focal point for various group trips-so the hotel is culturally very varied mixed. That leads however, that participants of the meeting in this hotel not the possibility to undisturbed meetings find. It is busy and hardly a seat, where not take other guests appear - even if the conference area is. Breakfast at the time from 7 to 8 o'clock is hardly possible, as all groups at the same time fruhstüclen. 2 service staff in the restaurant should for order and clean tables concerns. When RD. 150 guests at the same time not to create. Further staff ... was not set in ( at 2 days in a row the same condition). Room can also only from 16.00 hours at prior be changed (apparently also not enough staff to the rooms for change to prepare). Private would I this hotel do not book, because price-performance ratios and not at all in business events. read more

Super close to the park Sanssousci and the castles, also close to a train station and right on the hotel also a mooring with ship or train to Berlin to drive. Gladly again

Double -beds( mattresses) were just horrible, if the partner in the other bed moved, you were in the other bed tidy jolted. Were the beds way too small. Beds pretty good. Also the washbasin ( Stainless Steel?) is a little prison cells. read more

The hotel is really in a good location. Because of the possibility bikes, you can reach everything without problems. The public areas of the hotel are beautifully decorated, on the terrace you could eat in the morning sun for breakfast. A minus are however apparently the rooms, they are just in need of renovation. What however directly could be changed: the Unterlaken in bed was geknuppelt and pressed the whole night. Despite request to the zimmerreinigungskräfte it was not changed. In the corners apparently never cleaned. The carpet could be cleaned or be changed. In the bathroom were missing hygiene ... bag, on the second day the room first after 13:30 o'clock eventually made. Then there was also 1 towel. But the worst was the disgusting shower curtain. However it was after complaint from the employee the front desk changed and we got even as an excuse a great fruit plates. Altogether the staff were really very friendly!
We heard, that the hotel 2013 probably to be reconditioned is. This is to be hoped, because then we would certainly go back! read more

We booked spur of the moment a short trip over 3 nights in this hotel. Already however when checking in in the US booked double room with double bed, we found out, that double bed from two saggy single beds stock and the room altogether was decorated in a very Spartan. Furthermore is the carpet enormous stained and the shower curtain know a red bottom edge on which to lack of cleanliness shows.
So for a four-star hotel an impertinence. The location was the only good thing if the adjoining neighboring properties ( promenade) not completely zugemüllt would have been ..., I'm of the opinion that it from the staff not too much demands would have been the responsible with of the city Potsdam to know or even a broom into your hand to take the guests not between garbage at the beautiful Havel to sit. As you could ignore that the name peaceful location is not applicable. On the complex you will find pictures from the carpet and the shower curtain both really disgusting. The room was simply an impertinence for a four-star hotel, one went in the evening really not happy into the room back. On one of us wrote complaint mail to the hotel management was unfortunately not response. Merely the Steigenberger chain continued with us in contact over their Newsletter we booked trip and referred us to the hotel management the ARCONA hotel. read more

Room, location and breakfast was great. We would like to come to a new visit and happily recommend it.
