There are numerous restaurants nearby and also the subway-station is only 5 minutes away.

The staff were very competent and even spoke german.

A real nightmare!
The booked single room (double room for single occupancy) was on arrival in a consistently strong dirty condition. Behind the door were piling up the dust in flakes, the bathroom did especially the dirty toilet out. At the taps was obviously for months only top cleaned, on the bottom floor collected the lime of at least weeks, bath tubs and tiles in the same condition.
Remarkable the razor thin curtain with schimmelkante.
The beds are each on two top located mattresses, already quite worn out. Covered the beds with a thin, but at least clean bed sheet ..., in addition you got a eingerissene blanket and another thin sheets. Cover with a ausgegilbten überwurfdecke - bed complete.
The window in the room can with appropriate violence open, handle was missing.
Soundproofing right nothing - very interesting, since my room to the street lay out, therefore very noisy at night.
Really great also the tv - installation. A small cheaper tft screen, so clever at the wall drilled, that television in bed is not possible, cable hanging open from the ceiling.
I have complained on the cleanliness accordingly at the front desk. As the young and obviously helpless lady i didn't want to believe, i have the hygienic the shortcomings right in the room shown. You then called the 'manager' in addition, the again and again stressed, in its hotel everything always perfectly clean, but the dozens of flaws admit needs-so much dirt is difficult to deny.
I was pointed out promised, that the room fully cleaned.
So well. 6 hours later one was then probably made an effort, the exemplary identified schmutzdepots to eliminate, even if clearly, that dirt of at least weeks not in a couple of minutes to be eliminated. But at least.
The next shock waited when the 'Continental Breakfast' on me. The coffee not enjoyable. The dishes full of water spots (i hope.). Croissant from the discount store from the plastic bag, cheapest ready-to-bake breads partly burned. Toast to toasten in a toaster, the for years had not been cleaned. 3 sorts of tasteless cheese ( or käseersatz?), a sort of sliced billigsalami without any taste, but with a lot of dyes, 2 sorts of kochschinkenersatz. A good start to the day something different!
Almost funny: the müslispender were so skilfully behind fresh plates set up, that you actually not at all ran came.
On the 2. day i have the breakfast then just skipped and in a nearby located restaurant for breakfast.
All together we are dealing here with an old, shabby and clearly mismanaged hotel to do, i am sure with the location (5 minutes walk to the central line tube) points, but in terms of value for money not convincing at all. Room in hostels are cheaper and much clean!
As the recommendations here come into is me incongrous! I would have booked for longer or not already in advance paid have had, i would have this hotel after the first night again left! read more

We are 3 days in London been. The hotel is really a bit older, but the rooms are recently renovated. Unfortunately must in all the rooms smoke-free, so that we stench in the room to lodg a complaint had had. But that is just been done. Friendly staff, here it concerns young people the YMCA/YMCA the in the hotel their train. German breakfast: rolls. Bread, Corissantes, ham, Salami, cheese and jams, eggs, muesli. Very good and sufficient. Everything immediately refilled. Room to the street are very loud, since the window leaking against noise. It offers at the room to the ... inner courtyard to book. In 5 minutes one is with the course and with this in 10 minutes directly in London. read more

Who a hotel for a few days London-city trip and in the hotel actually anyway only to sleep, is right at home here. The rooms and the hotel as such are very neat (which in London at least in 3 star area not self-evident should be ), the breakfast against rather mediocre. Largest plus point is however the location: Even in a rather quiet ( one way -) street with several restaurants location, is both Paddington station (where the trains from Heathrow arrival), as well as the next subway-Lancaster gate underground station reachable in a few minutes on foot, from ... the latter two to three stations into the city. Furthermore the Hyde is park-almost opposite, so that even friends of nature to get your moneys worth. For the price ( in the week after Easter 50, -€ a night and person in a double room with breakfast) one can really not complain about! If you are looking for more and better needs, must more pay. read more

Hotel a fantastic location, right next to the Hyde Park and no 5 minutes walk to the underground station 'Lancaster gate'.
So makes a London break fun with anschließedem relaxation in the rather small but very comfortable and sauberern hotel room.
At reception apart from English also German spoken, we were ausgibieg advice and welcomed friendly.
We were 3 nights/4 days in London and would this hotel also again. read more

We have the hotel for a city break selected. The value for money convinced us, especially for the price London proportions this is a really good choice! The hotel lies quite central. To next subway ( Lancaster gate) are about 5 minutes footpath. Also some buses go here and one comes really very fast everywhere back. The Hyde park is almost on the doorstep, also very nice, for a walk in green surroundings to make. The staff are very hard working and friendly. Some also spoke German, because the hotel to the German YMCA include. The rooms are simple but ... absolutely sufficient. Altogether everything is clean, however is the bed linen a bit old and the A or other Traces of use were recognizable. The windows are very old and no external noise from. I can, therefore, by the rooms to the roadside only dissuade. We had one on the first night and have almost no eye didn't sleep a wink. Only the noise from the street, then the drunk, bawling guests the pub came. But we had the large luck, that we on the next day against a could change rooms, the inner courtyard goes. They are very quiet and highly recommendable! Unfortunately we had the bad luck, a Schulaßschlussklasse in the neighboring rooms to have, who were very loud, but it wasn't the hotel definitely not in addition to what. But noisy it is unfortunately really! Hairdryer and key for each 10 pound Pledge at the front desk. The breakfast is sufficient! Good coffee, rolls and toast, croissant, sausage, cheese, jams, muesli. In my opinion, more you must definitely not expect. Everything was always freshly re-filled and was also very clean. For a city trip I can the hotel only recommend. Great location for a Londonstädtetrip. German speaking staff. Equipment a bit outdated. Separate beds, the however could easily be moved together. Kettle available, all together but unfortunately no comparable European standard. For a Wochenendausflugt for London very attractive. Breakfast continental, unfortunately hardly variety, really enough ( rolls, bread, jams, cheese, sausage, egg, muesli, cereal, coffee, juice, tea) and from later Rate may be missing a few ingredients. A shame. Comparable with other Landeshauptstädten 2 stars. Nevertheless good value for money. read more

The hotel has a super location, right on the Hyde park and with good connections at bus and train.
The rooms are very the location and it is to the street back very badly soundproofed, luckily I had ear plugs in.
The breakfast was not so great, but so was only three stars.
For my purposes (so just for the night) it was absolutely enough and I recommend it further. The staff are also very nice, there is no reason to complain. read more
