Hotel Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa^{(5 stars)}

The jacuzzi is next to the bed. Is a matter of taste. Shower and toilet are divided by a glass door and are located in the same room. That a room was missing, we found it very badly soundproofed.

The choice is large and there is something for everyone. There the complex very big is and lots of people christmas were there was the buffet-restaurant kabbah crowded. On christmas eve we could us at the table not maintained, since the noise level was so high as in a train station.

We were to the 3'. On the complex. We were this time very dissapointed. Unfortunately, before christmas the service very suffered, since many vacationers were there. Lunch in the pool-restaurant Azul, were the tables full of dirty dishes. As no table was free, we have to totally dirty table set. After half an hour was nothing happened. We and many other then the table itself cleared up with the lunch can start. Staff was here but served we were not. So we were not used to from the palladium.

There is huge room, we booked a junior suite! Great large wardrobe large bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub! Always everything very clean, towels every day fresh, linen every 3. day. The rooms are although not the newest and a little noisy but that didn't bother us because the cleanliness fits!

The complex is from 4 hotels and there are 22 bars, 2 buffet-style restaurant and 8 a la carte restaurants! Really great we found the one in the buffet-style restaurant a table assigned gets the then not from other guests was occupied, we could always together to the buffet and then were not our drinks was cleared or other sat as it often in other hotels happens! In the buffet restaurant, as well as in the a la carte restaurants the food was fantastic something for everyone! What's also worth mentioning is for the reservation of the alla carte restaurants not in the morning in a queue to for the next evening place to get, but just go where you want and then either get a table or a pipsgerät with get and then as soon as the table vibrates the device or glows red and then you can go back to the restaurant and sit down! I am always thrilled about it!

The mexicans are a very friendly and very courteous people, they are all very pleasant even if you you don't at the start with tips smothered! We had us with the waiter Luis in the lobby bar very well understood he was always in a good mood and were never in the dry abandon.

Beach very nice and you can also great walking, you can not everywhere into the sea go, because the corals the part to to the beach but a few steps to the left or right and you can use the clear turquoise sea dip! There are 2 swimming pools including children use and 1 adult pool where you from 18 great pool chairs with cushions and drinks at the pool chair gets! It is for all sufficient capacity at the beach and at the pools so you need not at 6 o'clock in the morning with the towel to reserves to walk!

Just great hotel with beautiful beach, very big complex, but if you don't want to you don't need many steps on foot to go!

The hotel is located approximately 90 minutes away from the airport, to the next town Playa del Carmen you can travel approximately 30 minutes and to Tulum about 25 minutes you can easily with the public transportation the places, one goes simply onto the street and already is a collectivo (kl bus circa 10 places) on, you pay for to Playa del Carmen as well as to Tulum 35 pesos! Also taxis is not a problem you can from the reception from call them, costs circa 20 Dollar for 20 kilometer. otherwise nearby there is nothing no shopping possibilities or bars!

I had booked a junior suite. The room was in the colonial style with 2 king size beds, sofa, stuhlecke, desk, television, mini bar ( Cola, Fanta, Sprite and beer was refilled daily and in all-inclusive included), coffee and teeauswahl and balcony. The bathroom was generous with a toilet, large wash basin, large shower and jacuzzi bathtubs. Also were about 15 hangers (otherwise rather scarce), free safe, iron and ironing board and iron available. The furnishing is was already a little older, but in very good condition.

I had booked all inclusive. The white sands does not have its own buffet. So you had to for breakfast in the neighboring hotel which however not a problem was. The breakfast buffet was very diverse. From the freshly squeezed juice on warm dishes to fruits and yogurt was everything available. Even sparkling wine was for breakfast already available. You could eat lunch in the buffet-style restaurant or at the beach eat out. The rights beach restaurant on the wedding chapel is the better. There one is served and we never waited longer than 3 minutes wait until someone came. One gets mexican snacks, as well as pizzas and burgers. The other beach lies near the pool of the colonial hotel. You get only the food there the one before at the bar ordered. There is also in general more the matter because of the proximity to pool. In the evening you can enjoy one of the many à la carte restaurant use (only in the beach restaurant and japanese theppanjaki you have to before reserve) or in the buffet restaurants. In the à la carte restaurant there is general dress code. ( men in long trousers). The buffet restaurants theme nights but mexican and american is always available. The staff is consistently very friendly and hard-working a the vacation as beautiful as possible to make. I have it in 2 weeks not even experienced, not greeted with a smile and if you then a couple more words in spanish together get the smile becomes even wider. Even without giving any tip you get friendly and accommodating treated but under these circumstances one gives gladly something. Housekeeping was okay and the room always clean and with various figures effortless. Also i the first time experienced that my towel not was changed if i didn't want it.

Entertainment was available but not pushy. Mostly at the pools. But as i only at the beach was, i was quite private. Diving i was with the water sports center at the beach. Is really recommendable. Prices, organization and staff really great. There was internet access free wi-fi in the lobby ( skype not possible). If lots of guests online it is correspondingly slowly but to write e-mail was enough. In the rooms is internet fee ( very expensive! ) The beach consists of fine sand and is quite clean. You can only in the area of the lifeguard tower without beach shoes into the water. At all other authorities began after 4-5 meters corals and it is without shoes very uncomfortable. There are plenty of loungers available and in good condition. Also depends on here and there a hammocks between palms to 'hang out' in. Between the many palm trees one can always find a shady spot and umbrellas are also available although not so many. ( but because of the palm trees also definitely not required)

The hotel is part of a 5 hotels comprehensive portfolios. It is very nice in the available jungle integrated. The hotel is very well-kept and everywhere one sees staff with the maintenance is busy. White sand has approximately 260 rooms. They are in individual villas accommodated those 3 storied approximately 30 rooms include. The guests had in the majority booked all inclusive. They are from around 50 to 60% east europeans, 20% americans and the rest german, french and spanish guests.

The beach is 5 minutes on foot. The hotel is about 30 kilometer from Tulum and Playa of the Carmen and 110 kilometer from Cancun away. The transfer took about 70 minutes To to buy one must to Playa of the Carmen in the pedestrian zone but with the ' collective ' not a problem is. TUI offers various excursions to the partly quite 'salted' prices ( for example Jeep Safari after sian Kaan 136€ per person! ).

The only main complaint is here. The size, facilities and cleanliness of the room were perfect. The problem is located in the separation of bathroom to the room, because there is not really a. Toilet and shower are separate, but both have a glass door to the living room, with the frame not fully lock. In plain language, the zimmerkollege are not allowed at the movement of other partial share. Acoustically not time a problem, but if one suddenly the cloud in the room has, established a already some aggression. As already mentioned, there is also a bar in the beach/pool area, elsewhere you will most likely not stop. At cleaning and hygiene in the restaurant does not exist lots to whine about, even if the not closed restaurants from krähenähnlichen birds were occupied. But you can not from the staff demand, the birds completely out. Atmosphere in the hotel was unbeatable, especially at night at the beach it is very quiet and romantic. Really good the cocktails which included and very tasty are. We recommend coco loco, bananamama, bamboo (without alcoholic) In summary the food was and drink very good. Selection was abundant.

The staff is always friendly. To with the staff to communicate, you need english or spanish skills. The room was always satisfactory again prepared and sometimes also lovingly decorated. The laundry service was quick and satisfactory. Complaints were taken friendly and as soon as possible, trying to solve.

There is on the entertainment a daily, as well as hourly animation plan. The animation was pleasant and was fun. The entertainment/evening shows were well done and funny. Who no animation may has ample space and a quiet spot.

The hotel complex is huge. Less miles on the grounds behind need to adopt, one can between the hotel and the bungalows with a bimmelbahn transport leave. The 5 hotel in the middle of a dschungelartig landscaped grounds with indigenous flora and fauna. Each individual hotel there were several bungalows. The number of bungalows of the hotel white sand is not so high. Also in spite of the fact, that on this site 5 hotel, spread the guests good. The room, as well as the sanitation areas were always clean and neat. Usage were hardly to see. We had 2 nights problems with smells from the discharge from the shower. We described our problem and the staff members were hard to fix this. The majority of the guests come from Amerika, Canada and Spain. There were only a few germans.

The hotel has its own long beach front. The section, the closer to the white sand is a little coarse sand and there are some ' reef-fragments' rum. These are but through their various great very nice to look at. Since you have the whole beach section can use, you can also on the sandy section near the grand palladium kantenah/colonial a pool chair. The beach was never crowded. There was always vacant chairs. Great room with a view of the garden ( waterfront view from the 3rd floor). All junior suites with jacuzzi, a large bathroom with massive mirrors, daily filled mini bar the all inclusive is, coffee machine, safe, telephone) Cleaned daily, selection of special pillows (for rent), still relatively new. On the whole area was the outside area constantly updating and so it is with the rooms. Smaller repairs a disturb you can also directly on a small sign on the door the subject (but it was only during of the airconditioning necessary once and was immediately dealt with)

Rich selection, varied, super bars with brands alcohol, the included and super cocktails, the taste of the mexican sometimes a bit too sweet can miss. But the best part is, that I have ever in a hotel got. Various à la carte restaurant also recommendable are. Were in the brazilian and japanese!

Bountiful sporting activities throughout the hotel. Kayak, snorkeling, shops ( tequileria, internet in the lobby. The catamaran is free, but there is a course required, the 40 American Dollar costs and at best a 4. tel hour, which nowhere mentioned

Our junior suite was great and cleaned daily. Towels were changed daily. Even without tip you get sweet towel-bugs :-)

There are several à la carte restaurant, as well as countless buffet-style restaurant and bars ( please follow the different opening times of the individual hotel complexes). As already mentioned, we were already several times in the grand palladium bavarao in Punta Cana and we must unfortunately say, that buffet restaurant ( different topics in the week) just not convinced us, so that we actually every evening one of the many à la carte restaurant visited. Choice and quality of the food in the restaurants was for us top. The cocktails at the bars were also very tasty, but you different barkeeper also the same drink in different variants has been received. The cocktail menu but slick expanded ;-) Is very recommendable also the coffee-offer in Hemingway-bar, the however unfortunately only at o'clock was open. Also the offer the sports bar has in comparison to Punta Cana uS unfortunately no that convinced.

The staff and also the service was good. Perhaps not outstanding but hello it is on vacation and has time 5 minutes longer to wait. With English, hands and feet and a few spanish word you can wonderful -the records, for us at least, a vacation but also from - other countries, cultures and languages.

Surprisingly were always enough loungers - no matter what time of day - available. So no annoying practice of emergencies, what we found pleasant. Particularly worthy of mention the adultpools -this peace and the relaxation factor was for us simply great. The sporting activities is more than enough and also the fitness studio is relatively quite modern and offers next to devices, stamina a classroom (offered for example Zumba and aerobics

The hotel is huge and consists of several hotel complexes, the one with exception the royal suites all share and explore can. The garden and the resort itself are well maintained and through the mangroves very nice' mexican' laid out. End of June / beginning August was the guest structure mainly american, canadian and spanish.

The shuttle from the airport was with about 90 minutes after a -hour flight a bit long :-) but well worth it. The beach is very beautiful and not so crowded, like for instance in Punta Cana, however because of the lots of stones only in some places were really attractive for swimming and sun. For shopping is the next larger city' Playa del Carmen', which you easily on own fist with the collective, the directly on the street in front of the hotel hold (we didn't more than 10 minutes each waited ) explore can. The wal mart must be seen! The drive with the collective costs per person circa 3,50 American Dollar. Furthermore will, of course, countless excursions from the particular tour operators offered. Priority are probably the 'parks' in the surroundings, which we however because of the really high prices not visited.

The rooms are big. Furniture absolutely sufficient. In the royal area is the terrace with jacuzzi and loungers equipped. Coffee machine, safe available. Everything was clean and it didn't look old.

There is very lots of restaurants (italian, japanese and so on), i know not any more so exactly how many. Furthermore also buffet-style restaurant. The royal area had a extra restaurant, le jardin. We really have tried them all. Even if some not our taste, so were all good to very good. The service was mostly reasonable. Unless, a restaurant was overbooked, then it was a little younger and above. That came because of a spontaneous wedding but only once with us before. For breakfast we found le jardin somewhat ' narrow stocked ', especially if customers through the royal field and then for breakfast have been invited to attend. This has in our opinion over hand, so fast could then not at all the small buffet 's are after-put. We then went into one of the buffet-style restaurant gone, a great selection of all had. Altogether very tasty. The cleanliness was good. We had no complaints whatsoever. Of course one saw, if someone at the table sat. But it was quickly a new tablecloth was presented. If not equal to rush hours the coffee cups on the table were, we even itself took some. The staff were friendly. We have also tip given, in the restaurants exactly like at the bar or for the cleaning lady. But we had not the impression, that it expects from us.

The staff were too many very friendly. The royal area had each building a private butler/in, the guests helpful with reservations in the restaurant or other things help should be. I say '... Should be ', because we our only very rarely seen. The palladium Punta Cana (cathedral. Republic ) much better folded. But we have all of our front desk clear up may and there was always friendly and helpful. All speak good english. We also, so we had no problems. Only in the spa area should the reception in its friendliness work. But also only the reception. Apart from that is the whole spa area just very beautifully designed. I myself have also massages and was satisfied. So just watch, even if you nothing want to take. Complaints we had altogether no.

At the large pools there was a lot of animation, accordingly there was also the audience (the younger generation). We older and at the beach for the royal area retracted. It was quiet there and we were greeted by our fernanda spoiled. Big compliment: this woman always had a super mood. Loungers were at the pools and also beaches sufficiently available. In the last february -week the royal area was a bit full, and so it could happen, that no beach bettoli was more free. But also so that we could good life. A beach chair there was always with umbrella. Showers were also on the beaches available. The beach itself is nice, but in the water it is often rocky. Also it was windy and there was seaweed washed ashore. Apart from that was the water lovely especially the beautiful fish, the vacationers with a little bread persuaded.

The entire area consists of 5 hotels, we were in the royal area (only for adults) untergebraucht. The rooms were - as we the royal areas this hotelkesse are used to - very big and absolutely comfortable. Shower and toilet separated, however only by a glass door from the living room separately. You should also know very well. The cleanliness was exemplary. Despite high humidity i have no mold discovered. Yes, the rooms are badly soundproofed, but in the royal area we had no noise. The guests the entire area come from Amerika, Canada, Spain, Germany, Argentina, uk and Russia. Very bund mixed age structure. From young to old, by loudly until silent. However the area is large enough, that something for everyone is, of parties-to quiet zones. In the royal area were really very many germans.

The hotel is a good driving lesson from the airport Cancun and of course directly at the beach. By the size of the area we had to however, the royal -beach to come, right on the other end. With bobby cars, and other vehicles however not a problem. And if no ride came, we are and have walked the great vegetation and enjoyed the animals. Entertainment in the evening the hotel offers plentiful, from live music about shows and disco. There are shops also in the hotel complex, however very expensive. We were in Playa del Carmen for shopping. There were plenty possibilities. We have also good, you can also outside of the complex good and safe move. Excursions there are plentiful. Recommendation: valladolid, very nice old colonial city. Also we have wonderful and was amazed at how light, how cheap you could go shopping.

Was bad the fact that you in the evening for the restaurant reserve could. If we oppose 19,30 a restaurant visit wanted we were with a waiting time from 1-1 H. confronted.

the staff are very friendly. The rooms are moderate cleaned, no matter, whether with or without tips. Towels were generally incomplete

the complex does not in all respects of what the brochure promises. The rooms are urgently in need of renovation. The inventory shows obvious signs of wear -Lampshades were broken, wall mirror falls down and is rusty, door fittings rusty... Cupboard door pinches. Patio door broken. The complex is very green however very large, too big. The Mass of the guests notices one at the latest by the pool and for the food. The dining areas have the charm a station concourse. Shouting children sounds like a loudspeaker. The cushions were very dirty and the chairs even glue fallen to the hands. The staff are however very friendly. the worst the advertised beach. This has the esprochenen white sand, but who preferred swimming in the sea was hard disappointed

the beach has the promise of white sand, but who preferred the sea bathing at the noise the Americans by the pool to escape will disappointed. The transition from the beach to the sea is full of rocks. In the water even many reefs. There is only one spot where you are reasonably stonefree bathe can. We had a royal junior suite. What can I say: about 40 square meters, shower, view of the sea and on the balcony a jacuzzi. The mini bar was replenished daily free of charge. It was so great. As already mentioned, for cleanliness is respected.

The whole complex has about 30 restaurants and bars. No matter whether for example in the part of white sand or Rivera has been posted, you can all use. There is an à la carte and buffet- restaurants the Oriental kitchen, on the Mexican, Italian, asian, Japanese, mediterranean... Simply everything. We have some restaurants visited and in any individual it was really delicious. The offer is so plentiful and everything was very fresh. Sometimes there was also show cooking. The breakfast you can also in these various restaurants and whether you friend American Variant or rather on toast is, it is totally complete and leave nothing to be desired. Definitely the even squeezed juices try. Very pleasant also, that only all inclusive is, that is to say on the whole area one needed no cash (the beach not), unless you want tip give.

The staff are extremely nice, accommodating and attempted also to speak German. In any case but you get along with English and Spanish everywhere navigate. The rooms were cleaned daily and the beds changed. Everything was always tippi toppi. Laundry could be used for payment use( price normal). You get everything very tidy back. We had the royal package, there was a 24 h room service free with inside. Was already fun, sometimes so spoil to leave. The complex is itself very big and spacious. But noise or annoying tourists no trace, as the accommodations are individually and only approximately 20 rooms included. From A to B to come, there is several Buggies on the area, a free ride around (also to the beach, if 10 minutes walk too far are).

There is a fitness center and outside lots of possibilities already on the complex ( miniature golf, Football, archery,...). But we didn't use it. At the beach one can drive jet ski, windsurfing and snorkeling. The pools are very clean (in the large gives it directly inside a pool bar). You have locally some shops for jewelry, Souvenirs, but nothing special.

We have never stayed in such a lovely area used. The whole complex is very naturally developed. One has the feeling through the middle of the jungle to walk. The area is a river. Furthermore you will find enclosure with crocodiles (very well protected) and Flamingos. The hotel is very maintained( everywhere one sees gardener). We were on our honeymoon and had a royal junior suite, which I to anyone other would recommend, since the' extra charge' it is very low and very lots of extras get. At guests were as especially Americans, Canadians and Spanish. Also other European Nations were represented, but rather a few. Of the structure were the guests time couples, time family, just everything available and the age also everything was represented. This mixed clientele was very pleasant.

The hotel lies about one and a half hours from the airport Cancun. The streets are very well-built. The complex itself is directly at the wonderful sandy beach location. The water was turquoise blue and one can meter far in the depth look. About 50 meters into the water inside you snorkeling. Here there are 2 bars, the snacks offer. The town of Playa del Carmen isn't far away. There in the center (fifth avenue), there are several shops, restaurants, bars..., a beautiful shopping Mile directly at the beach location. Apart from that one reaches also quite fast Tulum (Maya-Tempel) or a large reef snorkeling. If you want something really great undertake would, after Xel-ha drive. There is a natural waterpark, in which you actively move can( snorkeling is excellent) or cliff jumping, with large Schlachringen a shallow river along. It was unique and will long be remembered.
