The hotel has the charm of a bygone era along. Wonderful lobby, well equipped and right on the Union Square. Besides runs the cable car right on the hotel over. Shops in the immediate vicinity. The valet parking in the hotel is however very expensive. Under the Union Square but is the possibility cheaper parking. Very nice traditional hotel of great, central location. Numerous restaurants and shopping in the immediate area more than reachable on foot. Parking for car about American Dollar 50:00. read more

Was in a business trip in this hotel and I stayed for 400$ per night clearly expected more. In room (King bed) 2283. The window already at arrival was broken and could not be closed, so that one heard the Verkrehr. The window lock was repaired within 24 hours. The overall condition of the hotel is dusty: 'old' you in the hallways, the carpet in the rooms easy filthy, the marble bathroom has its best times back and there are everywhere light breakages. No matter, it the room 100-150 $would cost. But this price is a rip off. Furthermore the ... service is poor: foreign laundry landed in my room, when check-out was an employee to help. I can only advise against it. read more

The trditionsreiche hotel lies very conveniently located on the union Square. Cable car stop and union Square are reachable in a few minutes. From here, the underground and bus connections in every direction.
The rooms in the old building are very spacious and well equipped, but without fridge. Rooms at union Square are not advisable, since there evenings often events take place. The extra charges in the hotel are very high, but there is restaurants all price ranges in direct environment. read more

St Francis in San Francisco is a very nicely located hotel located in the heart of the city-the Union Square. From here you can enjoy the whole town explore and there are many shopping possibilities. A gorgeous hotel in a great location. Perfect to go shopping. Right on a cable car station. All were super nice. Valet parking is 50 $per day is what cheap, as this price only 1 times per day must and it is a the car as often as you would like in/out privileges. In new York it costs 60 to 70 $for example per entrance! We had a fantastic room with a wonderful view on the Union Scuare ! Room 329. Everything was perfect! Always again with great pleasure! read more

Just great for a short stay in SF. Best location, simply a great hotel and not as crowded as the whole hotel on the warf! One is in two minutes of public transport and the cable car station is directly in front of the door! read more

Were more than positive surprised for the price. Luxury hotel in a perfect location. Only parking at the hotel is very expensive. We have used the parking garage in the vicinity for the rental car. Enjoy all the travellers. read more

The hotel is really great, but in 5 nights I did not sleep one night because it was so loud. It is (as so often in the U.S.) audible so you can hear everything. And the doors were banged so loud, even from the staff, I always stood upright in bed. read more

We had room 1294. Just as well. Large with 2 double beds and obstructed views of Union Square. Bathroom was very clean. Every day was great, again made clean. We had a room in the old part of the drive steel, the was of course not so great. possibly could change it, but we were the most time anyway except house. The breakfast is very tasty, but also relatively expensive. The hotel can recommend it. read more

The hotel is across the street from Union Square. As a base for none of the activities is this ideal. To the bus/tram stops are it only a few steps away, and the cable car (if you want) stops in front of the hotel. Top hotel. Cable car stops right in front of the hotel. The fisherman's warf takes about 10 minute. The best immediately for three days to buy a ticket costs about five dollars per person. Great location, right on the Union Square, an ideal starting point for sightseeing, close to the turning point of the Cabel car on the Union Square in the evening concerts of Nachwuchsbands. The room and the bathroom unfortunately something small, but clean and everything necessary available. We have eaten breakfast in the Bellini about three minutes away from the hotel. Good coffee, good selection.
Nightlife tip: evening atmosphere/view from the restaurant in the Macy's on the Union Square enjoy. read more
