Our room was with a balcony equipped, with magic cling view on the center of Schenna. Pleasant we found, the a safe in the wall were. Valuables and papers could so are accommodated. There was a bountiful breakfast buffet, there was something for every taste. In addition was in the corridor a daily fruit basket for free service to insjnl-coincidence. The double rooms and the balcony was clean, bettwäschetausch was ... cleaned weekly. Towels were at the request of the guest ge-changes. read more

We spent for a few years our vacation in the Garni dürrenstein. The easy going atmosphere guaranteed vacation from the first hour on. The rooms with a balcony are adequate, have a very good facilities and are well maintained. For the physical well-being is superbly catered for. The raised location of the hotel Dürrenstein, near the in a few minutes to be village center, allows an incredibly beautiful view of Meran, Dorf Tirol and so on to the vinschgau. There is also next to the house a flowery garden with lawn and comfortable seating areas. The value for money %%BLANK%% ... the room, as well as the newly equipped apartments, we already stayed in, was extremely good.     The small village of Schenna was only a few minutes away. The car parking places were in front of the hotel. Restaurants were also only a few minutes walk. Bus stop nearby. In about 10 minutes car drive you reach Meran, Tyrol village, Trautmannsdorff and two cable cars.

Gorgeous, beautiful view of schenna, and surrounding area. The Garni immediately given a family-friendly atmosphere. The family pircher was for the well-being of our guests endeavored. A tour of the castle is a 'must', not least because of the strong commitment of Mr Palace, the you an experience. Very good hiking- 'only for beginners'. Also very easy access to the transport to the next villages and cable cars -7 days-Thanksbus ticket. We knew the South Tyrol is very nice... But the family and their pension 'Garni drought stone' were the icing on the cake. Rarely a holiday so nice. The hotel itself, the room room with balcony (the view of the valley, in process and the surrounding mountains was fantastic). The hosts often had the impression that we almost family belonged. I had the pleasure to visit this family hotel during Easter, a spiritiual time, as well as a time for families to come together. This excellent and outstanding hotel felt like being at home - in the distance! South Tyrol was entirely new to me, however, the heartwarming family service, the cosy and clean aparments, as well as the friendliness and natural surrounding made our stay at Garni Duerrenstein truly memorable. read more

    The location of this hotel is perfect, 5 minutes walk to Schenna downtown, however remote enough to escape from any noise from Schenna downtown. I arrived with an international flight from Hong Kong in Munich. With a little stop over there , I continued my travel for around 3 hours by car to South Tyrol. All together the trip was pleasant, with a lot of beautiful leandscape on the way to our destination Schenna. Schenna itself is a lovely village, from my feeling more German/ Austrian than Italian influenced. A 20-30 minute hike away lies Merano, a more Italien more mediteranian like town. Shopping facilities are abundant, with a beautiful and tasty local market on Satruday morning. Castles, local villages and an abundance of beautiful natural sceneries are to be discovered anywhere around Schenna.
