Hotel Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa^{(4.5 stars)}

The rooms were relatively large, had a small balcony; minibar, air conditioning, telephone and colour tv were available, in addition the save, iron and ironing board, and a coffee/tea maker ; in the evening was 1 bottle of water provided

In the buffet restaurant, in which the regular breakfast was served, found daily evening different theme buffets take place, including a reservation recommended. One had also the possibility, against an extra charge, in a separate adult only area to have breakfast. The dishes were very attractively decorated and very tasty.

The staff is very friendly, everywhere sounded a friendly 'bula' and the employees are literally enamoured with children, so that it is often felt, that the employees the infants assumptions, so that the parents time undisturbed could eat ; the cleaning of the rooms was exemplary, even if sometimes only in the afternoon took place. A small point of minus was the fact, that in the morning at 6 o'clock (!) With a lautstarkem moto urlaubsbläser the leaves from the lawn blown and you automatically awake...

The loungers looked new, but the surface was so smooth, that you with its really small towel automatically down slipped. For 296 rooms there were only 4 (!) Beach chair mattresses, the previously had to be reserved and if one was lucky, a reservation to make, then these cushions in the laundry, which we during our stay 2 time happened. We have never had such bad and unbequme beach chairs during our several visits experienced, as here in the Sofitel, in the neighbor hotel were the loungers so much better... Another negative is the dark beach, the hotel's own brochures a bright sandy beach is mapped, we would have liked to know ahead of time, what we in the Sofitel for a beach, then we had the neighbor hotel, which offers guests a boat shuttle to the offshore island with real bright sandy beach offers. The beach towels were also very small, were rather a towel as a towel.

The Sofitel Fiji resort & spa is located on the artificial denarau island, consists of about 296 rooms and during our stay preferred by guests Australia or New Zealand occupied, amongst others a large expedienten group New Zealand.
