We were there at the beginning of december 2012 with friends for 9 nights in this beautiful small bijou. I must really say, that this hotel now one of my favorites and i also have a few more days we could have stayed longer would be. I was already very often in Thailand and i know many beautiful and exclusive hotels. Anantara rasananda is however simply different and special. Certainly also because of its exclusive location at the beach. 17 room units (6 villas and 11 ocean garden pool suites) offer direct access to the beach with small private pools ... and thai hall to relax. Also the uncomplicated and almost luxurious concept inspired, that you all meals without shoes and shorts could be. But if you the classic star hotel with stiff and restrictive kleiderregeln searches, the will probably something in the wrong place happen. Of course, i also already more luxurious and pompösere 5 stars hotels and in comparison, there are already a few tiny small differences in the area of service. But the bothered us not at all and we felt really comfortable. Probably it is because of the informal atmosphere. read more

The hotel lies in a beautiful bay with a magnificent sandy beach. Koh pgangan is in comparison to koh samui is still rather originally.

We have the stay anantara very enjoyed. Just a pity, that we only 2 nights there. Had 3 nights at the santhiya, was also very nice, but no comparison to the anantara.
Positive is especially:
Great service, whiskey, gin, Wodka and ice for free in the room.
Good breakfast buffet, small but sweet.
Great beach.
Very beautiful room, had garden suite with jacuzzi.
Friendliness in the department.
High feel good factor.
Beautiful pool.
Less I enjoyed the loungers, were really nothing special comfortable, this is urgently action.
Would gladly again the anantara return, the next time but then a week ... stay. Journey by speedboat recommendable nonetheless;-) read more

We stayed 5 nights at the anantara and it was just as, as the organizers Asian dreams it angedündigt had. A great, very quiet complex, stylish room with a shower, also a extended family a common plate, could have been. Huge and really nice. A large terrace with plunge pool - what else could you want. Breakfast with your feet in the sand carried really relaxation in. The communication with the really dedicated staff not always completely folds, we knew from the advice for this vacation and it was really not a problem. The prices for food and drinks in ... the hotel we found ambitious (powerful). The mini gym was sufficient for us, as every evening we only were there. There are a further two, three guests on the idea to do something it is very comfortable.
The selection of restaurants outside of the hotel was clearly over the expectations. Both in number, as well as quality.
Anantara is in any case recommendable nonetheless and the described details to neglect. read more

Nice hotel! We had a spacious room and a large bathroom. Unfortunately we had bad luck with the weather and were only once in the sea. But we had a private pool. The hotel is very quiet, but far drop; no paved streets. It was possibilities for recreation offered, but were as the food also very expensive. The resort is first view fantastic... but the guests in 2 categories divided.
the guests in the villas receive a great service, have partially even reserved chairs on the beach.

We spent eight days of our honeymoon in Rasa nanda, and did not want to leave. If you're looking for peace and quiet is right at home here. Especially we would like to highlight the location of the hotel, the villas right on the beach and the friendliness of the staff. We had at no time the feeling that we weren't welcome. We would do it only drawbacks in the food. The breakfast was okay, the dishes were delicious, but there is not much selection. We ate dinner in the hotel, as the prices are simply too high, and you ... can really good and cheap in the village or in the restaurants on the beach. We spent 6 nights the Rasa nanda. It has us super fallen! We inhabited a villa with a large terrace and a beautiful pool, private car park. Atmosphere simply magnificent. Hotel in the best beach area!

We booked this hotel the second time for eleven days visited (s. Assessment 'perfect!' from the April 2010). The hotel itself is nice. Nothing is shabby and the service is nothing to complain about. And now the nitty gritty.
First of all, the quality of the beach by the storm March suffered a lot at the end. The sand is coarse and; right on the water it is even unpleasant at your feet. Of course the hotel therefor nothing and perhaps regenerated the beach again. But clearly the hotel is exceedingly, the discarded trash (glass, bottles, bags left-overs). First after ... Complaints by guests of the hotel is you try to resolve this problem. Particularly badly it looked right next to the Rasa nanda from, there, where a site is. The Rasa nanda will further 20 Villas advanced. According to the construction manager should be completed by March 2012 as August between the Rasa nanda and the panviman another hotel with 40 to 60 rooms (Buri Rasa) built is, you can prepare for the whole year of construction. Our Ocean pool villa was right next to the building site, so we immediately changed the villa. Fortunately, this was on the day of arrival possible. Therefor two suns must believe it.
We noticed, that the privacy of the guests from the first row of the convival Beach chairs has suffered. For the guests from the second row that is of course an advantage, since they were not all from the main pool to push. That is why it is the quality of the room a sun less (even though it wasn't't fit).
If you want to book this hotel despite construction, should endeavour to villas 1-32, as they were on the other side of the grounds toward the santhiya beach chairs. read more

We were in paradise. After our wedding on KOH Samui we spent our honeymoon at the Rasa nanda spent. The hotel has wonderful Villas. We had booked the ocean-Villa and our expectations were exceeded. We also have some great five stars Hotels in Asia travelled. Aware of the Asian standard. And this hotel is just great! And I will gladly say it again, very friendly staff with good English knowledge. All was clean and neat. All special requests were fulfilled directly. We cleared the table and the bartender also fulfil every washed.
Of course we are in Asia. That is, there is no ... European five stars Standard! Of course, much more expensive! But if I want to, I remain in Europe!
You have, for example the one spoon was missing. But one wonders and the staff estimates itself directly!
But I am in Asia. And the Asians are not Perfectionists as we did. Luckily! That is why I love this friendly, nice people.
Back to the hotel: there is really great! We had the 'European' panviman, as well as (?) the Soraya hotel to the Rasa nanda pulled are, as there were faults. And no one could say anything negative about this hotel.
A tip: in the 'village' is the jungle Bar. The owner is very nice and speaks very good English. For 3000Bath he showed us on a tour the island, including snake show. Very interesting! read more
