The Hotel is located in the central city within just a few walking minutes distance from the Union Square, so it's very easy to reach public transport, restaurants and shops.
As breakfast was not included in the rate it wasn't a real bargain. The size of the room and the bathroom was good. The bathroom was clean and the main part of the room was too (but don't look too close in any corners). read more

The King George hotel is a small older hotel in San Francisco downtown, the good as a starting point for various activities in in the town use. Short ways to the terminus of the cable car, the Union Square and to the central commuter train station. Some restaurants and Diners, as well as Starbucks amongst others nearby.
The rooms are pretty small but for a city hotel reasonable. The rooms are clean and practical designed. read more

The hotel is a older hotel and in a very good location. The rooms are functional equipped and clean. Less good was the heating (which had there and back). The isolation of the house is more like North American standards and was rather bad, so that the cold fast penetrates. Also, it was quite noisy. However, it was for our trip overall, certainly adequate. read more

Positive: very central location (Union square), -free Wiki (front desk but only in the lobby satisfactory) neutral :-service and front desk okay negative :-really tiny room, no more contemporary amenities of the room, price reasonable but the location for this kind of hotel and the tiny rooms too expensive. read more

For a short break, the hotel is okay. But would no longer work, as it is very noisy and the windows are very old and porous. The bathroom window could not be closed, since there was no real window, but only slats. The two front desk inside were not very friendly. However the concierge was very friendly and helpful. The location was also very good, only a block from the cable cars drove and the shopping possibilities right next to installations. read more
