In the winter, the absolute low season, the hotel was extremely convenient to book. I don't know, if the high price in the high season profitable.
Of the historic part of town you can on foot to the hotel go, if one hardly luggage.
Room decorated up to date, may be a bit cold.
Breakfast was okay, as not lots of guests were there i found the atmosphere not so good.
The gym was being renovated.
Small supermarket, restaurants and a bakery within walking distance in 5 minutes distance. read more

Hotel and the room very nice. Wellness-and separate sports area also spacious, very nice and pleasant and ausgeruhtem staff, featuring an. Restaurant (only booked breakfast) at the beginning of the week it rich, fresh and delicious breakfast buffet. During the week it was the buffet always less rich (cut around 1/3) and the dishes were always older, were partly even spoiled and not enjoyable (fruit). Waiters were-unlike the staff in the spa - only hard eager to friendliness. Access to the sea and sunbathing area with massive safety deficiencies afflicted. A variety of loose stones and herausstehender nails. Ladders to ... the sea were partially dismantled, partially destroyed. Great metal parts were in the water around. Also missing banisters. Zugangsstufen were completely worn and glittschig. Access to the sea overall, very dangerous and lots of other for children/disabled people in no way adequate. (nice) outdoor pool was incomprehensible way and deflated about 2 days later again filled. Afterwards was the water freezing. To the center from dubrovnik about 1 kilometer walk, taxi around 6 to 9 Euro. Shopping possibilities directly adjacent to the hotel rather modest. At least a very good and reasonably priced acceptable restaurant but there is in the immediate area. Also a 'market' and a bakery in about 100 or 300 metres away. Bus connection in approximately 200 meters distance, easy drive to the center 12-15 Kuna = approximately €, depending on where you the tickets buy. read more

We were there for 4 days in the Rixos libertas. When we into the room were we came first very impressed. But after about 5 minutes it was already past and us was clear: outside hui inside yuck! The bed linen had beautiful stains ( several). On the carpet and in the shower was the sewage totally vestopft, so you finally instead of showers-bathed was \u263a. Towels was never clean really never! Have complained at the front desk and reported, that the bed linen dirty, etc. The sewage was clean but we had nevertheless every day dirty towels. For a ... four-star hotel impossible! The pool area is large and nice in a beautiful bay, but unfortunately runs the whole day türklische music, a great shame. Because it is actually in dubrovnik Croatia! read more

Rixos is a fantastic place to stay in Dubrovnik. 15 minutes walk to the Old Town or bus 5 minutes walk. Rooms are lovely and views fantastic. Great pool area and the sea is easily accessible via a ladder. We booked for 5 days of relaxation and to spend time around the pool after a rigorous 4 weeks of travel. It was great until the hotel booked an Indian wedding which went on for 4 days. The first 2 were fine having only the bar area closed to us, but on the Friday and Saturday the pool area and seafood ... restaurant were closed after 5pm and 4pm respectively (a lovely time of the day to be around the pool) to all other guests apart from the wedding guests. The wedding party went on until 6am and the noise was cranked up at 1am! The rooms are all facing the pool so the noise disturbed everyone. We called at 2am to ask when the noise would stop and were informed that it would go on indefinitely. We got to sleep at 6am and this spoilt our whole next day as we were tired. We paid for the use of all facilities and expected noise would not continue into all hours. The management obviously cared more about one section of guests to the exclusion of all others. There was no apology and no compensation for a night of no sleep and being denied access to the pool area - a main reason we chose this hotel. There were many complaints the next day and no sight of management. For such an event guests should be warned or the hotel should not book other rooms. read more

We thought the hotel is a pure city hotel. Guests of all nationalities, many Japanese on Europe trip, Dubrovnik is a world heritage site. The furniture in the restaurant are quite 'tired', partly very stained, not nice to look at. Also the carpets in the hotel leaves a little to be desired. The room cleaning was poor. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was very tasty and well prepared. And yet, our group has captured a stomach and Darminfektion. One can only further recommend the hotel due. read more

Good location, but problem with cleanliness

We have aware chose this hotel as it is very convenient to downtown is located, there are direct buses to and from the hotel you can walk well. The cleanness left a lot to be desired, this was already clear before and didn't bother us much. Part of the problem is the choice of the facilities. Instead of chairs in the restaurant chairs with cushions clearly much easier to clean before the elevators and former choices were better than carpet. Dubrovinik is very recommendable and we would do so again this trip. We were often in lokrum and also here ... was the relatively central location helpful. read more

I am here at present still guest, but am rather disappointed from the hotel. One finds the hotel traffic-massively well, also without Navi, if one already is in Dubrovnik. Reception exzellent, but then already easy clouding. Room is good… Everything in knows and very soberly. One thinks that probably equal the nurse comes into the room. 2 important lamps did not function and the heating had only to be adjusted. House technician came immediately and placed the heating… So far so well. The failed lamp was however scrap iron. Must be basicreplaced *wahrscheinlich morgen*. Then the course in the restaurant. ... …. Ohje, ohje, ohje. No A la carte offer, but buffet. … Zig of people '' manschen " in the meal around. I would tend also rather to the term CAFETERIA. Fortunately I booked only overnight accomodation with early stucco. Additionally the restaurant personnel, nice lady, who served me, wanted to write me with beautiful eyes a beer (and also still lukewarm) on the calculation. Besides one notices at the restaurant public that the hotel probably under more asiatic, speak Turkish line stands. The meal is in addition also really Turkishly “peppered”. At the latest with the dessert one notices the Turkish influence with the kitchen. Dobrovnik is geographically really not far from Turkey. Fortunately there are different restaurants probably in Dubrovnik sufficient. … And a few meter run after the meal is the worst also not to be. But which is it. Who likes it inexpensive (cheaply), or other one must take in purchase. I know however today already the fact that I although the favourable price here, into this hotel will not drive. Faithfully the slogan: Here been, seen and good is. read more

Cozy hotel with easy access to Dubrovnik Old town by foot. The view from the hotel is nice. Rooms are quite big, but the bathroom are in some poor shape. The bathtub leak and lights are not working properly. Rooms with sea view have large terrasses and this is a very big plus. The staff is very kind and helpful. The food is good. In general the hotel is excellent, it deserves 5 stars and I definitely recommend it to everyone. read more

The rooms are very small size ok, the closet. The cleaning was only superficially, the floors were not cleaned in 2 weeks! The silicon joints the bathtub (with integrated shower) start to be moldy already in the corners. The hotel was renovated, as "pfuschig" on the ceilings water damage visible (friends were also in the hotel, there were water stains on ceilings). The carpet had a musty smell, both in the room and the corridors (probably even humidity). A our friends room was right next to the fire exit, at this door has it very clear was moldy! We had ... only booked breakfast, the buffet is very good + copious for every taste, but the coffee awful. We always capuccino ordered; but you have to turn up a waiter active attention + appeal to come voluntarily not guest! The guest structure was mixed: Croats, English, Italian, Spanish, Germans, Austrians. Thankfully no Russians. Attention: each can take to the front desk only with an indication of the room number get a new magnetic card! Valuables in the safe! read more

Stayed 1 week in Aug 2010.
Luxury 5* hotel.
Location is very good: it's 15 minutes walk to the old city. The hotel stays on the sea coast.
Unfortunately the hotel has no beach, it has sun benches between the pool and the sea shore, and a path to the sea.
The breakfast is very delicious. And you get it on the open terrace with excellent sea view (also you can get it inside).
The hotel has a night club that is open on Fri and Sat until 3 AM. (But we didn't visited it, because we visited night parties ... in the city).
Disadvantage: all bars in the hotel are closed after 12 PM. (Room service is declared to work 24h, but we didn't use it). There is no restaurants near the hotel. The nearest restaurant is located in the old city.
The room is luxury, beautiful and big, it has big balcony and sea view.
The staff speaks English good. read more
