Location well and peacefully located, everything easily reachable on foot. Hotel is located directly by the sea, opposite is a beautiful park. Hotel could use a ' Facelift ' use. Good value for money. Northern Territory is altogether very expensive.
Frühstückstipp: cafe Istanbul, Mitchellstreet, dinner Tims Surf'n Turf. read more

For short term stays in Darwin is the hotel very good. The few attractions of the town are within walking distance, as well as restaurants and shopping malls. In the hotel itself only disturb the small water pressure in the shower. read more

We stayed for four nights per person 91 €, this is great. The breakfast was extra but also reduced and cost €per person eleven, but there is a very large selection and everything looks very good. The staff was very competent but very young. The hotel has a free car park integrated and located very centrally. However the beach is a few minutes walk away.
A problem with this hotel, it is set up like a hall, therefore echo everything very noisy hotel and also the elevator beeps at each stop, you heard throughout the hotel and in the rooms ... every few seconds, without earplugs impossible to sleep. read more

A nice hotel with a great price/performance ratio. The first night we were in a suite. Just a dream, we had booked a double room. Then off to the kakadu National park. two days later we went back two nights at this hotel. This time a double room. We were also very pleased. A large double room with desks, armchairs and table, double bed, fridge, iron and ironing board and iron, kettle for tea and coffee. Treat came on, when we saw the safe, because this was missing in most hotels on our Australia trip. The bathroom was equipped with ... a bath and the shower was separate. The breakfast was very varied with a lot of fresh fruit. Especially unwelcoming the swimming pool, which was quite large and very clean. The beach chairs were with thick cushions.
Conclusion: The hotel we would not hesitate to re-book. A super four star hotel to the very moderate price. read more

Darwin was our starting point for the Australia holiday-arrival at 03:30 A.M. at the airport, take a taxi to the hotel (30 AUD).
The check-in gin smoothly, our room had two double beds (1.40 meters), a very small bathroom, air conditioning, minibar, tv, but no balcony.
We booked the holiday Inn website (280 AUD/day), which is not exactly cheap, if you look at the tourist crowds in Darwin dry season, you understand, that the hotels such rates recover. Breakfast was not included, costs 18.50 AUD per person for a traditional English/Australian breakfast. Was very good, gluten ... free bread that (with toaster!).
The restaurant we didn't used, there were so many nice pubs and bars nearby, and we wanted to try it all.
The hotel is located at the end of the Mitchell street, the main street in Darwin. This has the advantage of, being relatively quickly reached a bar or restaurant, the downside is, that it got a bit loud, especially on the weekend. But hardly disturbed, since we were traveling too.
The small shopping center is about ten minutes walk, who needs more, need to take the bus or car in the Suburbs.
The pool is on the ground, (25 times ten meters) clean with enough sun loungers and parasols. You could order drinks and snacks at the bar, towels were plentiful.
Overall the hotel made a neat impression, which didn't hinwegtäuscht, that it was already a few years old. The staff was very helpful, recommendations for restaurants and tours were also really very useful.
Conclusion:
Good Hotel, central location, quite expensive-would stay there again. read more
