A hotel, what a recommendation rate of 100% would have earned.
To criticize one finds always something and always will be someone who, just something to criticize searches. But what is perfect in life?! Great designed room, every day fresh flowers or flowers in the room. Every evening there is a good night greeting of the staff. The staff's hospitality outstanding, without being pushy. Directly at the beach. Towels at the pool and the beach brought.
Wi-Fi there are every day 30 minutes free and who needs to on vacation because more on the internet surfing?! Then you are wrong ..., at such a wonderful location, the 1000 things more has to offer, as the internet. read more

Altogether a top hotel!
Also, when the rooms already something in need of renovation seem-but only for fussy guests, like us.

After staying at the December anantara as long-standing regular guests very disappointed were (see my review from December 2011), we had actually not more before the anantara to book.
As it was about a hotel for the next vacation choose and we had read here, the more and more people with the noisy weddings complain, we had hoped, that may be a good improvement. Especially as we here also had read, that it now with Julia ( very nice young German hotel employees) someone is there, the problem and also here a feedback is.
Long story short, we have our ... regular hotel on KOH Samui again for a week booked, what I after the last vacation there really would not have thought.
The hotel is still totally nice and we were glad it again to have booked.
To the rooms there were here already plentifully reviews, therefore I make it short and write more about the current situation.
Is still on the complex time share sold, one actually sees daily several foreign people by the complex be led, my feeling is however the clearly more in the background and you as a guest not as disturbing felt. Also the hotel guests not directly addressed what I very pleasant found. Thanks so a strong plus in comparison to December!
The largest problem are still the weddings on the complex.
In our week in May was luckily only a wedding in the hotel, me schwante already mean when I said. However I must say, that it was not so noisy as the December maybe the a lot of complaints here worth it and the hotel has adopted it.
100% say we cannot do it, because the wedding anniversary has it evenings rain and the party at the beach would have not anyway until deep in the night go, but on a timetable for the wedding I could see, against 22 or 10:30 P. M. it was planned, the celebrations in the inner bar to move, there would be the noise level probably much lower. (I assume there then also celebrated, we did this in the evening however not hear ). As long as my conjecture not deceptive, there is also a plus for the hotel, I can only hope, you would on a sleep from 22 until 23 o'clock in the hotel permutes not the guests, at the wedding participate to annoy.
In the breakfast area a small improvement in which the offer the food regards done, unfortunately missing here but still a freshly squeezed orange juice, unfortunate otherwise would be the breakfast really perfect, but this is what I call now complaining on a high level-)
A note I have to the beach, unfortunately you recently (but perhaps also at the travel time, the May were we had never stayed there) very many sun lounger on. Used at best 10-15%! Less sometimes more and just simply look better.
In short: we will be back, but we hope that the management, in particular, what the weddings regards furthermore in the interests of the normal hotel guests and the music at the beach from 22 o'clock on household-noise level reduced respectively the party in the inner bar moved.

Anantara a refuge for rest and relaxation. We were 2 couple 40 to 50 year I have the review from 01 08 2011 read however, whether in anantara bophut resort & spa was very unlikely. You should not believe everything you read. There was a friendly front desk (in German ) in the lobby with a magnificent view in the Tropical garden and the Lotus pond. The breakfast buffet was also reasonable - there is everything that you could wish for ( unfortunately no fresh juice). The beach before the nose is also nice, a short walk (100 meters) at ... the beach along leads to 'fishermen's village' with varied dining unfortunately are the prices salted, so that it is necessary, to the older Thai lady to go, the front of the resort at the beach the food freshly prepared. The Papaya -salad is delicious! On fishermen's village you should only leg Thai food the are on the right side. All together the anantara a good hotel, in a beautiful laid out subtropical garden is, unfortunately somewhat outdated, but a appropriate value for money has. read more

With so lots of reviews for this hotel, one asks oneself, if one even something review could contribute, I think, although unfortunately nothing positive.
after a round trip on different islands in the Gulf of Thailand, was the anantara Boput on KOH Samui the stay.
if we had known, that this five star hotel the worst would, if we had other plans.
information, we had 6 nights a anantara suite. This was, that we have a unique, upscale hotel wanted, with wonderful service and a personal touch.
A suite is certainly not every time, but if, then one has a ... little the hope, the the rooms from normal rooms stand out. For 5 stars in the Meier Catalog we were very hopeful, which is unfortunately very disappointed was. read more

We were with our grandma and our son to first time on KOH Samui. The location of the hotel is super, near the Fishing village. There it was very nice for shopping and eating. Taxis to other beaches are extremely expensive. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. There is even a German speaking Gästetreuerin, had we not expecting. The room decor is a bit year older, but we were not disturbed. All in all a beautiful first vacation in Thailand. read more

An excellent Hotel/resort with very good kitchen. extremely friendly staff. Very beautiful Spa area with great care. Even without going to the beach, you can relax in the area of the hotel was very good and so on. Small reductions in the level of cleanliness in the restaurant to be made, not was meticulous. Overall I was ten days in the anantara and can only confirm the previous positive reviews. It was a very pleasant and 'unaufdringelicher' and competent service in all areas. There were no complaints.
The Spa area is very recommendable, nice atmosphere and the staff was very competent and had 'a bit more expensive' than outside. I had received two X 'special' a, where I was able to see the quality of the applications.
The Only Excitation Criticism:
I was charged out at the 'donation' a daily from 40 baht for the 'golden Triangle Asian elephant Foundation', a total of 400 ... Baht. Of course, this is not a lot of money, but a note in this regard would be urgently required at the check in!
Let us hope that the money is indeed spent arrives there. read more

The hotel has the typical architecture of the country. Especially the gardener is great experience the hotel area. The hotel beach is clean and with a street vendor, no thank you, get rid of.
We do not have any hotel, where everyone friendly and greeted you regularly asked, whether you have been something to complain about, or whether the staff can do something for us.
You can eat here everywhere. One should look at oneself and compare the prices. On the road to the left and right along, there are good reasonably priced restaurants.

Rooms are not brand new, but very okay. Large pool, the complex in general is very nicely arranged. The Spa is great, but too expensive (there's enough alternatives). The beach is directly in front of the pool and the sea is clean. In comparison to the Ananatara lawana on the island wasn't't so great, but therefor direct access to the beach (there is love). Have felt comfortable and very good. read more

We are in search of an accommodation in Bo phut along the beach and a spur to the anantara skipped it. The very friendly front desk and the nice area led us then, there are four days.
