It was our 3rd time there, and we still love it. However, this hotel is really only for those seeking peace, as we are. read hotel review

The hotel dar el bar is a small, manageable hotel de charme. We had a double room on the garden side booked, which is quite small has shown. The baby cot was only in the evening after asking my husband also free internet access. The room was clean and in oriental style. We had booked half board, but clearly overpriced for what it was. Only the half board cost Euro 100 for three days the room was 160 - for three days. Wlan gives it only in the open lobby. read hotel review

At first glance nicely, but the double room was quite small. But included everything, nicely decorated double bed, two chairs and a table. Tray with tv. A small refrigerator. Closet with safe. Small bathroom, at first glance ok. Especially the toilet was european standard. With closer hinsehen one sees, that mold always again übermahlt are. The shower cumbersome to open, or use and other details, but according to tunisian standards ok. The location of the room but it was inconvenient. The nachbarseite of the hotel was with plants covered up, but the noise of the water pump, which 24 hours from the other hotel was to be heard, allowed no cozy sitting on the balcony. The air conditioning in the room worked also only on the 2. and 3. stage, but made a terrible racket and on the 1st level cooled you didn't.

We were disappointed by the catering, especially because of the price, which we had to pay. There's a restaurant, which right next to the pool area and the sea. The location is really great, you can't say anything else. There is a large menu, but the prices were higher than are. For example, tunisian salad costs tdn 8000 the are 4,00 Euro. In a restaurant in the town we paid for tdn 2,500... If you have chosen half-board, can in the evening between two starters choosing, with us was the rice salad or chinese salad. We have the 2. and had to wait 25 minutes for the appetizer wait. The vegetables was not, as advertised sauted, but overcooked with soy sauce spice and an egg to, whose white still was very clear, so raw... As main course you could between a scrambled eggs and fleischspiesschen choose. We both have the meat chosen. There were only chicken, merguez and vegetables to. The cheapest meats. For dessert there were melons, on which we have not done, as the breakfast not taste had. It is very unfortunate, as the ambience otherwise would be correct. I have for example in the Radisson Blu Hotel before a year do. Brik with do. Salad ordered and had also tdn 13000 pay, but it was really divine and was super well presented. Instead you payed then a bit more. With the breakfast there is, depending on the number of guests a buffet or direct service.

The staff is friendly and asks with interest for. Foreign language skills were not always available. The room was not cleaned on one day. Obviously they had in the morning, as we were not there any time and at lunch, when we a nap did, you have just knock at the door, but we did not react. In the afternoon the room was not cleaned, which we so far in no other hotel experienced. There are no child care, as the hotel is also not designed for them is.

It is a quiet hotel de charme, the entertainement. There is a spa, which we didn't visited. The smell of strong soap we were a little put off. In a spa, i would a light smell of äthärischen oils etc. Expect, but it is Tunisia and not Europa.

With car the hotel is in 20 minutes from the airport. The town of Houmt Souk or midoun is also in 10-15 minutes by cab to reach. The casino is in walking distance.

I've searched for a week of relaxation in a nice part and the Dar el bhar found. The hotel has a wonderful personal atmosphere. It is located in a traditional house with planted courtyard and jet direct access to the beach, where you can walk in both directions for a long time. The staff is very attentive and pleasant undjederzeit prepared, to meet the needs of the guests. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. The kitchen was varied and in particular the traditional dishes such as Couscous etc. simply delicious. I could express desires, which were gladly fulfilled. ... The pool and garden, etc. are also very nice and well-kept. Hammam on the premises of the hotel is beautiful and the services reasonably priced absolutely affordable. One noticed, that the entire staff was very dedicated. Within walking distance (5-10 minutes each) there were a few small stores and a larger supermarket. Conclusion: an absolute gem compared to the surrounding faceless big hotels. Additional plus: Free Wi-Fi in the room. The only downside: entertainment program of the adjoining big hotels is sometimes referred to, even if in a bearable volume. Who is sensitive, should therefore better room close to the sea or to the other quieter side. read hotel review
