Hotel Zafiria^{(2 stars)}

Small, simple rooms. Furniture worn. Bathroom small, flip-flops only use the shower we would recommend it. No tv, small balcony.

There is a multitude of possibilities in Matala, all within walking distance easy to reach are. We can recommend: marinero, the two brothers, scala.

Nice, friendly, dedicated staff. German knowledge available. The cleaning staff was very pleasant and friendly. On the first day we have the room changed, since the water in the shower didn't work. This transfer also worked out easily.

There is no animation in the hotel. The pool of the hotel is clean, chairs and sunscreens are available. The beach is clean, the water clear and in september still optimal warm for swimming. Umbrellas and beach chairs at a charge usable.

It is a rather smaller hotel, three floors. The rooms are simply and small, nothing for demanding holidayers. The furnishing is already quite worn. No tv, no hair dryer. We have the hotel room only for sleeping used, were mostly traveling during the day, at the beach or by the pool. The cleanliness would we as good state, it is open daily from very friendly staff cleaned. The breakfast is ok, also here: rather simply, little alternation, but delicious. You have to be aware, that it is precisely in order to a 2 star hotel is, so don't set you expectations too high should be available. The value for money we would as good. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

The gravel-sand -beach is directly easily reachable on foot. In Matala itself there are a lot of dining establishments, some of which very nice (at the sea) are located. Several times in the week gave it in different places live music. There is the possibility planned trips something to do. We have a tour to samaria gorge done, highly recommended.
