The hotel is high standard, even if easy run-down. Very lots of regular guests and little children. The language skills of the staff is excellent. Particular emphasis should be on the beach with service. read more

Attractive hotel in great location, 2-minute walk to the beach, as well as about 10 minutes in the beautiful old town with good shopping and gastronomic possibilities. As the well-maintained hotel meanwhile is somewhat older were the rooms reasonable, however not 5 star rating. read more

This hotel is definitely recommended. We stayed during a week the all-inclusive offer use, which just in this hotel also is very recommendable. Various alcoholic and not alcoholic beverages, 3 meals, daily new stocked minibar, begrüßungswein, free beach chairs, etc. Everything included in the price. The staff hard always and is very friendly, apart from the restaurant, the restaurant manager sometimes a bit unfriendly. Even when the hotel not the newest is, büsst it no luxury and it is always clean and tidy. Please note, that we'd to the few german couples have heard. The majority of the vacationer comes ... from Russia. That was for us however not disturbing at all. In the evenings playing different volleyballclubs at the beach in front of the hotel beachvolleyballturniere, where it was very loud, but it is worth it a game to watch. read more

For staying anfans May prima, hotel already fully occupied, sea warm and Gratisliegen at the sea. Old town for walk in the evening in 15 to 30 minutes super Archdektur. Hotel lies in houses nevertheless but quiet. read more

It is noteworthy, that the hotel is a piece of fine sand, while the beaches are mostly pebbly Crete. We could enjoy the because of the weather, but very recommendable for children. read more

A large, but not too big hotel (approximately 200 rooms ). Works personally managed. All in all very clean ( hotel-lobby, restaurant, pool areas, toilets ). The guests were mixed nationalities from the European Greater, tendency rather the 50 + generation. In the season ( October ) have lain. There were a few couples with smaller and larger children under the guests, as well as couples clearly under 50. read more

    There was a free safe (with key instead of numeric code ), bathrobe, hotel slippers, TV (SAT-Empfang ), CD/ Radioplayer, kettle, small ( silent ) fridge be free available provided.     the hotel has an attached cafe and restaurant, both of guests of the hotel as well as outside guests can be visited. In the hotel there was a large dining room, the for breakfast and dinner and for the hotel guests is available. There are also tables on the terrace to the pool available provided. You will at the entrance for breakfast and dinner always very friendly welcome and directed to a table. The tables for every guest was freshly exposed, in other words new Tablecloth. One has the choice from 3 different main courses, the 'pattern' and description in 3 different kinds of languages, in the dining room are issued. Furthermore, there are several very rich buffets with hot and cold food, soup, salad bar, desserts buffet, rich bread basket, Misc fruit, vegetarian dishes and a lot, many more. There were theme evenings ( for example Italian, asian ). Also the service staff was very speedy, friendly and accommodating, many spoke several languages. There is a rich menu. the zusatzbestellung ( drinks ) you can either on the room write or equal to in the evening pay. all in all a pleasant Speiseraumatmosphäre, only, the music noise we found personally something too loud and sometimes to hectic.

    the hotel staff is really very friendly and helpful and one gets the impression, that all gladly to work there. Most of the staff also spoke somewhat German and in any case English. French I have also heard. The cleaning of the rooms was very satisfactory, the staff unobtrusive, friendly and soon.

    in the hotel there was a small indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna-Turkish area, small Sportgerätschaften with care, as well as an Internet corner ( subject to a charge ), but free Wiki. However I did not claim taken. It made however a good impression on me. there are 2 clean pools (a larger in the inner courtyard ) as well as a somewhat smaller on the deck equipped with sufficient Couches and sun screens. We preferred however the sea cards and were therefore on hotel's own beach section to find. Town center comfortable couches and umbrellas, Cabanas and showers. Everything very well maintained. You wanted as needed.

    the beach from the hotel only by a street separately, this is however relatively heavy traffic. In the nearby and far there are plenty of supermarkets, Souvenir shops, the newspapers and other small things for the daily Need to sell, any quantity taverns/restaurants, a häagen Dasz (the strong younger Kretern visited and less from the tourist ) for the Kaffeedurststillung, ATM, wheel/motorcycle-/ car Rentals. The town of Rethymno is a decent waterfront on foot in about 15 minutes reachable.

We have felt ourselves very well. We are now six times in the hotel since 1998 and former not worse than at the first visit, in many respects. better yet only very minor drawbacks at the food was the dessert could be entertaining there are fruit, cakes, ice cream, pudding and so on wider selection in, but little alternation. Porto Rethymno is generally very recommendable, we booked half-board. Great, that you always clean beach or pool towels got bath. To complain about is, that there is no children pool, since we have a 2 year old child traveled are, otherwise the pool is OK. The restaurant's cleanliness level is excellent-great-!!! The standard room was a bit small, the staff are very friendly. The beach is only a few minutes to reach., lunch was sometimes even watermelon on the beach serves!!! We'll gladly come back-to the city in about five to ten minutes walking distance, close to everything you need. read more

Porto Rethymno is about 20 years old. Category five ** ** * according to German standards maximum of three ** * and architecturally, the hotel made a very good impression. The sitting area is very well equipped. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. The prices for the drinks already on usury. The rooms are totally run down..., The carpets are disgusting dirty. The living area is not at all the excitement inside and outside! Fine... Above was stinky! It is a pity for the nice hotel " Porto Rethymno" Z. e.g. you can't recommend this hotel. read more

The hotel is close to the beach. The only down side is the street in between, but for us that was known. The balcony door was locked from the traffic noise, nothing more to be heard. The breakfast was varied and good. Noticeable courteous staff; also in the town was you from the shops didn't bother me. Could you can sit for hours in the tavernas, without for consumption forced to. The food abnormally low prices. The audience showed little interest to the entertainment, so boccia mostly went out. Annoying, are the Asian masseurs on the beach, the first the ... toes of the a, then the face of the other customers massage. Conclusion: nearby town and sandy beach > a consistent mix. read more
