The Steigenberger Hotel de saxe in Dresden is simply great! In march we were for 2 nights in the hotel. The entrance area is very nicely decorated, the bar looked very inviting. Because we arrived early (against half 9) we wanted to leave our bags, but directly a room received. I had a day before already called and informed, that we arrive early. So a great service. We had the hotel with a travelzoo-arrangement, but were as all other guests very accommodating served. read more

    Our room was huge and furnished nicely. A huge bed and a small sitting area with two chairs and a table, as well as a desk. The two small window was fantastic, because it is the direct view of Church of Our Lady had. We had a normal double room booked. Everything was great and we were very comfortable. The bathroom is also nicely furnished. A bath with a shower is optimal.

    The breakfast is a dream! As everyone could find something. Delicious bread, fresh rolls, egg dishes, lots of different yoghurts and cereals, fresh fruits and all kinds of cheese and sausage varieties, and sausage, salmon and so forth! Very nice i found personally also the nice breakfast room and the large tea bar. Coffees are served to the table (on the 2. day was the Latte Macchiato without order at the table- excellent!) The atmosphere is also very relaxed. Breakfast gives it starting from 6:30 until 11 o'clock. Since we were on a city break were, we usually against half 10 breakfast and were almost the only guests in the hall. Newspapers are ready and you can be at the side of the windows was the beautiful view of Church of Our Lady enjoy.

    The service in the hotel was perfect. We were warmly welcomed and we were also immediately a room given, even though we had about half 9 in the hotel were. The hotel didn't seem to be full, probably because of the season. The room is clean and very nicely furnished. Modern but nevertheless a classic elegance. Only point of criticism is, that the hair dryer in the bathroom often times a few dropout had. It should then simply a couple of minutes not use and already he went back.

    The hotel's location is excellent! If you from the hotel you stood directly in front of the Church of Our Lady. From our room on the 5. floor we had a side view of the church. From the airport we are about 10 kilometer with the taxi dangers (cost around the 18-20 Euro). You can also with the train drive, but the does not so often from the airport from, therefore, the best when checking in. A few walk, not longer than three minutes, and one stand before the s-bahn station altmarkt. From there you can reach all sights, which one but also great on foot can see. Residenzschloss, semperoper and Elbe- everything not a problem on foot. The kennel only a couple -minute walk away. Restaurants, bars and nice cafés like coselpalais (where it very good eierschecke ) there are also around the Church of Our Lady. The large shopping center, the altstadtgalerie with all the shops, the heart is, is only a few minutes away. Just only across the street and already is one in the middle in the happening.

The hotel we have as a part of a specials and for 2 nights in a ' deluxe '-room with breakfast 199 € paid. During our travels the hotel was well visited, mainly with german guests in the age group 40 upwards. The hotel made in all areas a very clean and dignified impression on us. read more

    Great, large and great clean room (non-smoking ), with a view of the back. A 0.5 liter bottle of water and a small fruit plate with 1 chocolate were available free of charge available. The room features facilities, what you in hotels of this class and expected. A free safe was also available, as a kettle with coffee-and teeutensilien. The beds were my wife a bit too hard - i found it great. Matter of taste stop... The bathroom was nice large and bright, with plenty of storage space. Only drawback: shower in the bathtub with a glass division. Not a problem for us - for older people already... At the wash basin and in the shower were dispenser with soap, or shower gel. There were, unfortunately, for us 2 people only one small bottles of shampoo and body lotion, which on the 2. day unfortunately also been not renewed. This should in a hotel this class actually to standard include. We suspect, that it is a unique error was...

    We had booked accommodation with breakfast and were really satisfied. The choice was great - from sparkling wine until salmon was almost everything available. The refilling work for us rather smoothly and the clearing and relain- of the tables was perfect! A special egg station was not available, but were from the staff special requests in relation to eggs and coffees met... Because of the very long breakfast time (from 06.30 until 11:00 o'clock) equalized the expiry, which has a positive effect on the noise and cosiness in the restaurant impact! The price of drinks in the hotel bar move for a hotel of this class on appropriate level (wheat beer 4,5 Euro, Hugo 7,5 Euro).

    Perfect-all hotel staff, which we during our stay had to do, were very friendly and competent. Check-in and check-out ran smoothly. Bathrobes and slippers (during our stay free of charge) were on request in the room deposit. The staff in the restaurant was quick and attentive, our cleaning lady did a good job and the bartender had its area very well in the grasp-with a Elan, an unmatched! So is the, for a hotel of this class!

    The hotel is equipped with an exercise room (we didn't use it), and a really reasonable sauna area with 3 saunas (organic, wet and dry sauna). Showers, toilets, 2 pool for foot baths, a relaxation room, safety deposit boxes for valuables, as well as towels are available. Access to the premises is on the room card. Only drawback: the saunas are only starting from 2:30 p. m. usable! Because of this we could the ' late check-out ' (until 16 o'clock) on the day of departure not use the sauna area and had our Dresden-program unfortunately completely reorganize. That was when booking of the hotel different planned and was nowhere prior to read! There are from us deduction...

    The hotel is in best location-felt 50 metres from the Church of Our Lady away. From this vantage point are almost all sights excellent easy to reach on foot. Restaurants, shops, public transportation, and parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity. Under the hotel is the public parking garage 'Church of Our Lady' with direct access to the hotel. The costs for this (20 €for 24 hours) we feel, however, than steep. Much cheaper if you park around 300-400 meters away in the spießgasse. The public car park has over 1000 parking (fresco) and costs a maximum of 6 €for 24 hours (at the weekend even only 3 €!). For the parkscheinautomaten but suitable change is needed!

    We were already in some hotels, but this was by far the most beautiful room. Size, facilities and the view left nothing to be desired. Only the shower separation on the edge needed getting used to, because it folds out could, if you the shower rose, but the tiles that got wet. That was but also really the only fault. Bathrobe, umbrella, laptop safe, kettle, flat screen tv, 2 armchair and table. It was thought of everything and very harmoniously decorated.

    The breakfast buffet offered all you could ask for. In addition to the standard dishes there was even beans in tomato sauce, asian noodle soup and roast vegetables. Everything very decoratively and hygienic presented. Scrambled eggs at the buffet. Omelets and fried eggs if one ordered to order at the table. Large teeauswahl, sparkling wine and lots of fresh juices rounded the offer from. in the dining room you sat, no matter where you get a space, excellent. Furnished to a high standard and lots of space between the tables.

    In the evening we have a few the fitness and sauna area visited. Very relaxing. Beside high-quality equipment for the perseverance (stair machine, treadmill, exercise bike, elliptical machine) found a finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a steam bath and a relaxation room, as well as enough showers and toilette's.

In the immediate vicinity there is the Church of Our Lady, the Museum of Transport and in 'throwing range' the royal palace, the semperoper opera house. Our room and the places in the hotel, in which we were, were clean. And only i can judge. The guest structure is mixed. read more

    We had a deluxe room with view to Church of Our Lady and on the neumarkt. This room type is the parking in the underground parking was included in the price. 32 square meter living room were sufficient. Seating area, tv, minibar, bathrobes, beach shoes, Coffee/tea-readier are available. The bathroom is large enough, bath tub with showering wall etc. And in the ceiling a speaker so that the messages mentioned above from the channel not miss.

    The staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially mr Nikolaus, one of the bellboys, was especially to be highlighted. When ausflugsfragen and questions to stadtsgeschichte one can adhere gladly to him. It is always time for a chat. In the breakfast restaurant is the service also very good. On 2. day we had our coffee didn't have to order any more, they knew what we wanted. So something you don't often. The room was cleaned daily. My request to another pillows was promptly fulfilled. Nobody can wishes of the restaurant was extremely impressive. As a guest you have also with the people talking about, then your needs. Communication just!

    As already mentioned, directly on the neumarkt. All sights are on foot distance. For shopping recommendable is the altmarkt-gallery. However only with comfortable shoes, as it is quite large. Tram stops are on foot approximately 3 minutes away. But except within earshot. Restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. There is something there for any taste.

Check in at 21 o'clock problem-free and fast. No instruction for wellness-and fitness area. Bathrobe and bathing slippers lack in the room. Room was very quiet and spacious, bed very good. Air conditioning quite loud, but you could finally after some effort issue. Breakfast for a hotel this category rather spartan. Called from over concierge on the day of departure didn't work, so the general impression was further marred. read more

Now i was the 3. x in this nice hotel; however, on the basis of a at christmas preserved voucher. This has unfortunately to 100% in the allocation of the (small and dark-only 1 small window, the also hochangebracht is) room down. The attempts, here, where appropriate, gg premium nachzuverhandeln, failed unfortunately on the smooth running of rhethorik of the staff. Pains me most, since i my wife from the hotel and his great rooms raved about had. Now next time stop another hotel. Tip to all future travelers: 8. point, in the deluxe class to book. Sounds on the ... first glance irritating to, is however in every aspect better than the so-called superior room! read more

The hotel is ideally located to the center. An upgrade to better room type is worth it-then view of Church of Our Lady. Breakfast is not cheap, but worth the money. Negative despite strict cold was the heater in the bathroom turned off. I had to under the washstand creep, around the heater turn. That should star hotel not happen. read more

Great hotel with a great location, right on the neumarkt, sights all in walking distance. Breakfast delicious and the selection was very good, staff, wether at the front desk or service all very attentive, and the friendliness seemed really, not fake as we in other hotels have seen. We would gladly come again! Tip: many museums are closed on tuesdays read more

The Steigenberger has even this year is convincing. The breakfast buffet incomparable, is thus very good. The central location is another plus point, you are immediately in the middle.
