Hotel in general - when you arrive to the hotel, the first impression is WOW! It looks nice, well maintained but the first shock was stepping into the room. Okay, the double single room was understandable due to cultural differences, but the room was not clean at all. There were hair on the floor in the bathroom (probably from the previous guests), there was quite some dirt on the floor, the bathroom door would not close and once you got them closed, you needed quite some strength (one of the ladies from our group even got stuck inside). On the ... last two days, when we turned on the aircoinditioning, there was this smell of sewage, very unpleasant. The room, when cleanliness is taken aside, was spacious, terrace was great. We had all-inclusive, but the selection of food is very very poor - mainly rotation of same dishes, and these are prepared rather poorly (overcooked macaroni, chicken was not baked enough). The dishes were not clean, we often got plates with stains and even spoons with lipstick stains on it. There are three bars around the hotel/resort with all-inclusive service, but they all ran out of glasses quickly and you got your drinks in a small plastic cups (imagine getting your beer in a really small, soft, coffe-like plastic cups - plus, most of the time, drinks are warm and they run out of ice in the morning. Guests are mostly Russians, I heard some Polish and Czech speaking there as well. We were some Slovenians (cca. 20). The hotel has cca. 300 rooms, as we were told. read hotel review

    Room, as said before - very spacious with a great potential, but the problem was cleanliness (very poor), and during the last few days, there was a sewage smell from the airconditioning. Also, the refrigerator did not work in our room. The position of our room was great - ground floor, right next to the pool and very close to the beach.

    Gastronomy - in joke we said that they could really use some Gordon Ramsay tratment. Food was not prepaired well. Macaroni, overcooked, often with some strange taste. Chicken was not baked enough - once during a dinner, my girlfriend got a piece of a chicken, which was completely pink - not baken enough. Also the selection of food was very poor - mostly the same through the whole week. Rice, prepared in three different ways, rotated during lunch and dinner. Pasta and tomato sauce, sometimes with ragu meat. There were bright exceptions with grill section of food court, but with the pink chicken experience, I just did not trust them so I rather skipped it. Also, one night they had fish on grill and my girlfriend had some problems with stomach ache. As an all-inclusive treatment, we had a chance to choose a dinner in a "a-la-carte" restaurant in the hotel. But it was all the same there, plus, you had to wear long trousers. At 40ºC outside I did not even think of taking long trousers with me and they sent me off to the shop next door. Of course I skipped it. But my friends told me, that the food in a-la-cart section was no better than in the dinning area, or even worse, as the dinning area food court was self-service and in the a-la-cart, you had to wait to be served even for an hour and a half, which is of course unacceptable. With the drinks - you had soft drinks - orange juice, lemone juice, "cool cola" (copy of coca cola, but it was okay) and soda. For the first few days you were able to take it on your own from a vending machine, but during the last few days, they turned machine around and you had to wait for the waiter, which most of the time was not problem, but if you read the "Service" part, you will soon find where the problem was. There was one general dinning area (breakfast, lunch and dinner), one lobby bar and one beach bar. Now the beach bar had quite some problems with cooling the drinks and if you took beer there, it was often warm. And they had no ice there. It also a very bad smell present!

    Service was rather of a mixed experience - from really nice to some almost rude reactions. Mostly staff speaks english, but if not, they send in someone who speaks english. The rude part is about glasses - as you have a possibility to refill your dring, and with the part of getting a plastic little cup, you catch yourself into an interesting loop, of you, wanting to keep the glass and waiters, trying to get that cup. And sometimes, when you have an empty glass in the hand, they try to take it out of your hand - literally. Now, I understand they need the glasses, but they could also increase the "supply" of glasses. But I must recommend the Farmacist - due to badly prepared food, I had some indigestion problems (I was not the only one) - he was very kind, explained ways of using medicaments very thoroughly and he really helped a lot. About handling complaints - they do resolve problems, they just need some time. Now, with indigestion problems, and when you urgently need some toilet paper, their slowness can be a real problem. Room cleaning is a story of it self - the guy in charge of our room was very kind and helpful, when we complained about cleanliness, he came and did his best - but it is not his problem that his brooms and mops are dirty and with that, you cannot clean a room.

    This part was flawless. Great beach, with great sea/water, pool was great. There were quite some offers to go snorkeling around with a boat, or you could just go around the hotel beach, there is plenty of underwater life there. There is also a kitecenter on one side and sufing center on other side. Animation team provided some water activities (aquagym, workout on the beach, dance lessons).

    Location and surrounding is typically Egyptian - the resort is surrounded with desert, with the closest town being city of Safaga (cca. 60.000 population, nothing special to see there). Hurghada (with the closest airport) is some 60 km away. The beach is right next to the hotel, from our room, maybe 50 m of walk, so really really close. Shopping is possible in the neighborhood, cca. 5 minutes of walking away, there is a small bazar, where you can buy souvenirs, jewelry and also food and water. You can buy snacks and water in hotel as well. Excursion possibilities were okay, they are offered by the offices in the hotel lobby and by individuals as well. If lucky, you can get yourself a really good deal.

This hotel is a joke. If someone recommends this hotel, then he must have been first time out and probably from either Poland or Russia or he has been suffering from mental distortion. You can find better hostels in Bangladesh than this five star hotel. Actually it is not worth two stars. They don't have a clue about management. It needs to be either demolished or closed down. It's a place where you will definitely ruin your vacation. And you will get sick right after eating their dirty dishes and drinking disgusting domestic drinks. Food worse than in hospitals. They ... do not hesitate to argue with you or give you orders. Customer means absolutely nothing here. Cleanliness and services are the worst ever. There is nothing good about this hotel, except gym. Everything else is just garbage. And there will end up your money if you buy it. If you want details, just go to tripadvisor. There are plenty of them. read hotel review

Very small old television, only few programs on TV, cleanliness - they must do something on it, warm beer every day, almost the same food every day.... soft drinks are cool not coca cola, only few alcohol drinks, don't expect european marks..... they need to learn worker to smile. Otherwise the stuff and managers are polite, if you have a complaint they react fast and try to make your stay comfortable.... read hotel review

I think for first holiday in Egypt I couldn't choose better. For relaxing holiday the hotel provides everything you need. Hotel is located on a wonderful bay very close to beautiful and clean beach. There are also great possibilities to snorkeling, kiting and surfing. The rooms are large enough, also bathroom was big. We have also large balcony with beuatiful view of the sea. Rooms were cleaned daily, towels were changed regularly. Also I can not complain about the restaurant. The food was varied and very tasty. Dishes and tables were always clean. I thank the staff, becuase they were ... always polite and very friendly. They help you with everything you need. I would especially like to thank Mr. Sayed S. and Mr. Makarious. I hope that I come next year again. read hotel review

We are already much traveled. But such a great week here in the Imperial shams we have never experienced something like that. In addition the excellent weather. During the entire vacation we did not a cloud seen, the temperatures were always during the day between 23 and 28 degrees. Everything is free, you could eat and drink, and as much as you want. The cleanliness is hard to beat, you can almost from the soil lick. But to be highlighted was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. From the reception area to the strandjungen all spoke several languages, including ... german. Not perfect, but you can easily communicate. %singlelinebreak % We can only recommend this hotel and will definitely there again to spend our holiday. read hotel review

A very nice hotel that we for 4 years there directly at the beach unfortunately very dirty, we stayed at a strandgang alone more than 30 plastic bags from the water the unfortunately not cleared away, because it is not a tip can be made. %doublelinebreak % Who on consistent food is is just right there, in the 3 weeks we had 2 times liver in the offer otherwise there was always only beef, chicken and fish and after we after a week have complained about no taste you also promptly changed, but the fish is in the 3 weeks ... stayed the same, we did the whole time a chicken eaten but only the large and small limb, filet or hänchenbrust there were unfortunately not (was too expensive and the statement low budget always stood in the room) even with the breakfast there was only 2 sorts to sausage and a (sometimes 2) different cheese, the coffee was often only slightly dyed hot water (right read: warm not hot water) during the entire vacation we received a bottle of water per person then you had the empty bottle of fuss thus the water dispenser on each end of the corridor is what tap can. %doublelinebreak % The tv program consists of ARD u. ZDF in very poor quality (low budget) and the entertainment is more bad than right, there can one also a kindergarten bring on very much more unterhaltungwert. %doublelinebreak % In the 4 years we have in this hotel were the hotel is worse which totally is a shame because it is very nice, and well located, but i can unfortunately not recommend and many vacation acquaintance also from the hotel already withdrawn and other didn't want to go back. read hotel review

I had a very nice, relaxing holiday. The staff was very nice and friendly, not pushy. The beach is beautiful. Although the hotel only about 30% full, there was nothing to complain about. I will definitely stay there again. read hotel review

Opportunity! We are coming again. I would not have meant, that i this hotel again would book. Only because of the shams safaga diving center we once again venture. Luckily. Everyone has a 2. chance deserves. The hotel has the opportunity. This vacation was so great as our previous 4 in previous years. On all of the criticism of my evaluation of 04/2013 reaction. In this holiday i can absolutely no criticism, but a large praise. All of the staff were exemplary. Everyone, from the manager to the room service, were always around the well-being of the guests. I especially ... want to the staff at the front desk and the leaders of main restaurant stress. The meals in the main restaurant was varied and very good. Chicken, fish and beef in different variations, alternative for vegetarians, salads and fruit with a decent selection. Should be a food run out was immediately refilled. Who still complains should worry about what it at home on the table. At the cost of internet was unfortunately nothing changed. Here apparently most of the hotels at the red sea coast on an unreasonable level agreement. To conclude, i would like to the diving station thanks. Your organization is unrivalled. For kite surfers and surfers very recommendable - the k. + s. stations (club Mistral) are directly re. + li. The hotel area. Who beside kiting and surfing also relax/rest would like is here in december correctly. ' Gleitwindwahrscheinlichkeit' 50%. - in the morning, the wind at the strongest -9er kite/5er sail. The swimming area in the sea was with ropes/buoys characterized. Swimmers and water sports enthusiasts have made their area and plenty of space. Tour operator, staff all very friendly and helpful, food and drinks were very good, Well kept and clean hotel area, pools were all clean and well maintained, beach chairs at the beach were okay but should be replaced as the wood not more beautiful looks, water general in december in the sea a bit cool but with a swim it was (shoes you could you had to but not necessarily/must the bathing decide) we were without water And had no problems. Annoying were the many speeches at the beach as well as for example massage, boottouren etc. Simply with the ... towel issue a red flag and his berth, beach/pool and peace returned right away. All in all we can recommend this hotel further. And for those who like to complain about who searched finds! But first before the own house in order. read hotel review

In general we were satisfied with the services. The food was not suitable for gourmets, but you get a bit in the stomach. The staff are very positive. All very friendly, especially the rather small man (last name) at the beach bar, which wasn't that easy in this rather cold weather. He was very courteous, helpful and attentive, even a small casanova to my wife. (it blew the whole week a very cool breeze) Unfortunately, there were a few guests, which good for us, for the hotel, but was bad. In general we can say: this week we have enjoyed. read hotel review

A at first glance beautiful and classy 5 star hotel. Unfortunately one can see the flaws only on the 2. view. Unusual lamps, broken snooker and pool table, queus with tape 'fixed' were. Ausgeschütteter tea on one of the marble vanities in the lobby, the 4 days not wiped off. We had booked all-inclusive. A main restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner in buffet style) And two à la carte restaurants, for both had one in the morning for the evening to reserve a place.     Our room was in the 4. floor (complete the hotel has 5 floors) Room was very large and very clean. Bathroom with bathtub and shower curtain, hair dryer available. Room had a very large balcony with sea view. Tv is available, 4 german channels you can receive ; ARD, ZDF, RTL and RTL 2 Air conditioning and electricity only worked with the key fob the room key. Speaks: if one the room with the key left, the room was relaxed switched. Mini fridge with two bottles of 0.5 litre of water filled. (inclusive)

'fresh säfte' was orange juice from tetra pak A bottle of Cola 1 liter cost at the bar 5, - €. Atmosphere in the main restaurant was very. In a 5 star hotel i can assume, i tidy and suitably dressed to eat go. In a long stoffhose and decent shoes we were already over-dressed. The other guests prefer short pants, strandkleidern, hotpants to eat to appear. The bad thing was, that it is none of the employees or the 'bouncer' in the main restaurant too for necessary the guests on their dress code to make attentive.

    The friendliness of the staff was not as good as i expected and stayed in. In a 5 star hotel it should be expected, that you have your coffee in the bar at the place and found. Depending on how the staff at the bar mood was, had one its coffee at the bar, so you can even in the square took... With plastic spoons The reception manager was always to our well-being. All of the staff spoke english, some also german, very many speak russian.

    Leisure facilities was, inter alia, in the form of Midget Golf, Tennis, water sports available. Midget Golf we had very gladly played, unfortunately were the floor coverings not intact, so that you unfortunately not could take advantage of. Sport offers were, as already mentioned, of everything the promoters at the beach. Entertainment on the beach or by the pool looked like: 10 hours stretching 11 hours Volleyball There was an entertainment program (very great program, for example, belly dancing, choice of miss hotel, choice of mr.. Hotel, oriental dance, and much more) on infobrett at the beach bar on display... More decoration, hence what the board does. Unfortunately, there was nothing. The entertainers around 19:30 'home' skillful. Since the sun already around 17 hours goes down and about 18 hours is dark, limited the evening for dinner, small gartenspaziergang, rooms. In the bar there was not enough seating, that one comfortably sit was.

    Location is ok. Driver and guide were 4 times on the drive to the hotel procedure... Beach is second to none. Sandy beach ideal to the walk barefoot, wonderful clear water In the hotel there is 5/6 small shops perfume, souvenir, clothes and kioskartikel offer (except newspapers and magazines) On the street to the hotel there is many shops Disco in the hotel and big disco further available. With the taxi one could in safaga drive, are merely 7 kilometer. Excursions from everything the promoters at every day from 10 hours offered on the beach (diving, snorkeling, spa, glass bottom boat, horse riding, etc.)

I think it tells something about the hotel's perfection, that it was my fifth stay here and I will be back in march again for 4 weeks. The staff is extremely nice and they value the regulars. This time they also organized a surprise barbecue party for the recurrent guests. I highly recommend the Imperial for those who want to treat themselves. The sand is smooth sandy, the water is shallow and pure, snorkeling is also possible. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is excellent. This place is great for relaxing, it's just what the Doctor ordered. read hotel review

I stayed in Imperial one week and it was perfect. The staff in the hotel is very friendly and pleasant. Food was very good and I think everybody could choose what really like it. Rooms are big, comfortable and always clean. Beach is clean with very good entrance to the sea. On beach is very willing staff who is helping with sunbeds. A big thanks bellows to animation team. They were all the time around guests, making fun with them. We really admired show time. The fakeer and fire show with Fabio and Magdy was amazing. Everybody liked it. We ... also liked it dance show with Ehab, Fabio and Lucy. Good job is doing DJ Eslam, especially when he is playing voleyball.) But Eslam is good in aquaaerobic. We also visited mini disco to see how is going in the hotel and I think that with Fabio and Magdy children loved to dance. They did it very interesting for them. The hotel is very familiar and friendly. The staff in the hotel is very friendly and helpfull. Even on the beach, the beach boy moving our sunbeds to the sun. :) We didn´t have problem with anything. Rooms are very clean and big with amazing view to the see. The food was perfect everybody can choose what he likes. The best were soups for lunch and dinner.     How I said it in the beginning the staff is very friendly and helpfull. They know many phrases in every language so you can have fun with them. Even the F&B manager is coming to the people and talking with them, if everything is ok. Rooms are cleaning everyday by housekeeping but really honestly.

    The beach is next to the hotel not even one minut from your room. It is really great. Beach is very clean with soft sand. Entrance to the sea is very good for children beause in the beginning is the sea shallow. In the hotel are some shops where you can buy souvenirs or clothes, where you can always agree about the price. Near to the hotel is small town Safaga which is good for a walk in the even, there we were in local teahouse to try good tea. Also you have so many possibilities for trip like snorchling, trip to Luxor or Cairo, trip to Sahara or some other. We were snorchling for one day and it was perfect.

We have stayed in many times our holiday in this hotel and feel from different reasons always stay very comfortable. The hotel has the huge advantage of a very compact area: It is shaped like and almost from all rooms you can enjoy the beautiful view of the bay and the sea. All the paths are short, so you in minutes from the beach in your room or in the restaurant is. The same also applies to the range of sports activities such as kite surfing, windsurfing, diving, fitness etc. From the pool chairs can one the surfers and kitern ... watch, so it completely could is, if only one of the family 'on the water' is. Especially for couples, not both water sports, this is a great plus, as you occasionally on the beach, to eat or to the bar and the holiday despite different interests together can. read hotel review

    We are completely satisfied with the food, even if it is of course no gourmet cuisine is. In the main restaurant give it to each evening a great salad buffet, excellent soups and warm dishes. Almost always a dish freshly prepared. We are fans of egyptian evening: there is an outdoor barbecue and it will surely 30 different local desserts. A delight! The food was very good and hygienic flawless. At least we have never had real problems and the, although we from the salad up to the ice cream food or try. In november was for the first time, also at the beach bar a small buffet was offered. Furthermore, here freshly grilled. The breakfast was with fresh fruit salad, freshly prepared egg dishes and pastries in all variations as well as fully in order. To all meals many local dishes, you should really try. Next to the main restaurant there were two further restaurants (oriental and italian), this holiday did not visit however.

    Basically, the staff was very friendly. Nearly all coworkers of the hotel the feeling, that one as guest welcome. The guests, the service should criticize the question, as you 'in the forest called'. Whenever we had a problem or a certain desire expressed, the hotel immediately reacted. Helpful is of course also, that especially at the front desk was very good german and english spoken. Even with the cleaning staff of the rooms you could communicate fairly well. With the room cleaning we were always satisfied.

    We are as i said to the kiting here and with the station from club Mistral very satisfied. The staff was super nice and it has a very relaxed atmosphere. Also here: you can be reached in 3 minutes by the station from his (very comfortable) beach chair or the beach bar, in order to enjoy a coffee. We can talk about the other sports offers were no comment, will be aware, however, that it for example in the neighbouring spa centre a very well-equipped fitness centre is, which can be used free of charge.

    The hotel is located about 40 kilometer south of Hurghada and is in 45 minutes. We used the hotel's taxi service, the 100% - ig is reliable. The hotel is located in between two other hotels of the shams group in a beautiful bay, in the north by the kite station of the club Mistral be limited. For us as a kite surfers is the location of the hotel cannot be beat! We even leave the area rarely, unless we look for souvenirs for at home. This, for example, the small 'mall' on, the one of the best, if you through the neighboring hotel shams the whole area leaves. Also in the hotel itself there are different purchase possibilities. Various excursions were of course offered by the tour operators, but also on the beach you can snorkel trips, tours of Hurghada etc. Book. We have, on several occasions, to snorkeling tours, which we at the beach booked, participated. It's worth it!

Not a brand new hotel, but well maintained. Everything is super clean and it will also be undergoing renovations. The special in this hotel is next to the beautiful beach the staff. They do a great job; no matter, whether at the bars and in the restaurants on the beach, at the pool or at the reception. They create a real nice atmosphere.     My holiday was from several entertainment guides. A highlight were the daily evening shows by the entertainers, A show fascinated me particularly, the fire & fakir show, in which the entertainer fabio showed, as absorbing the brinkmanship - simply stunning and great! Also on the day offered the entertainers a programme of entertainment and sport - for example aqua aerobics or aerobics. I i can only positive things to say, since the entertainers always tried, a good show in the evening abzulieferen and you have my opinion always managed ☺

we stayed here with friends, being the only English,which was a shame as the nationalities didn't mix.had a lovely stay.Hotel staff treated us like royalty.would like to thank ahmed for getting the football for us on t.v and giving us 2 lovely nights with bar service. pool is well maintained and the beach is lovely. cleaned regularly. Food overall was ok, the soups were the best, but not much variety,pasta chicken, fish. veg. same again for evening meal. beef in a gravy, rice,but will say when we asked Ahmed for more variety he ... said if there is anything we would like just say and they will cook it for us. after 4 days they put snacks on at pool bar, burgers chips etc. which was nice. if i could complain it would be that they charge for wifi which is 400le for a wk.(£40.00) english which i think is steep. having stayed at other hotels which have free wifi. also there is no atm which means a walk to the next hotel 15mins Riveria for money.go at night as they have shops opposite which open at 7pm and are lovely. Bar staff are brilliant, yammi. hassan. ali and are all helpful. nothing is to much trouble Thanks to you all and especially for Pauls Birthday cake it was a lovely gesture. hope to see you again read hotel review
