The hotel Gorgonia Beach is a good mittelklassenhotel. The complex is huge and spacious. The outdoor area is good clean and tidy kept. The structure but already badly worn, if one considers, that the complex nor not at all so old. But that didn't disturb me in my opinion not large. The guests are international, especially italian, german and swiss. In Egypt you much russian guests, in gorgonia not. Must not, but can be an advantage. read more

    The rooms are really spacious, comfortable, bright and friendly designed. Of course, there were signs of usage and sometimes is missing here a small tile or there is something drübergespachtelt, but not too bad. Kettle for coffee and tea are free and really practical. Every day free water in the room is also a nice move. The bathroom is also large, only was missing there at counter space-the space is here definitely not optimally utilized. The balcony is large and has a practical wooden the wet things hang up.

    The main el wadi restaurant is certainly no indulgence to dining, who but expected is also your own fault. There was a rich buffet and it also lots of dishes prepared freshly on site. What especially worth mentioning is, is the decoration of the buffets-a small work of art. The atmosphere in the el wadi restaurant is not so great, especially if you want to have to eat.     Gorgonia team put in the effort to all guests to be friendly. What sometimes mostly succeeds. Is however as for us, we didn't every day good mood. What is positive, none expects a tip and left a negative feel if you not always all hands fully euros to distribute has. Linguistically the gorgonier rather unsatisfactory.     The transfer from the Marsa Alam Airport takes between 1.5 to 2 hours. Around the hotel is proverbially desert and nothing else. Brilliant is however the long sandy beach-one can take kilometers long walks without shoes and looks with all kinds of interesting things from the sea and in the sea. So if you want night life and shopping searches, the is in the wrong place here. However, if you a snorkeling experience that is exceptional searches, is spot-on. A really beautiful outer reef offers everything that your heart could desire. A pity is that the inner reef broken, no wonder if every idiot, the definition of reef has not yet come, to rumtrampelt. Some tourists found the look somewhat too few playful but we liked it. Condition and cleanliness was good to very good. A shame that there is no wireless internet access. At least in the lobby this should be offered free. A credit of use to avoid, could a daily time limit be turned on. The guest structure changes constantly. Were in the first days lots of italians present, came many german speaking guests (unfortunately ..., the number of the liegenreservierer at the beach). Surprisingly also many Sweden.     Very spacious rooms. We had 2071. Everything very clean and the bed huge. The mattresses were also very good. Nummernsafe is located in the room and cost nothing extra.     We found the food good. Like in most hotels repeated the food in the dishes after 1-2 weeks again. But there is so wide choice, that always something for everyone should be there.     Gym is available and the equipment (treadmill, stair machines, bikes) are surprisingly in good shape. Also enough weights for the hotel was handled well available.     The hotel is located in nothing!. Pure relaxation. Beach in the broadest case only 3-4 minutes on foot away. For beachwalkers ideal. A smaller hotel for surfing is located about 3 kilometers away right. Otherwise only beach, the water and the sun! It is a very pleasant hotel, with 5 star category (!). Through the considerable size of the hotel area was the atmosphere despite the good occupancy rate never crowded. You can tell the italian management of the hotel, for italian i can recommend the hotel, for germans of only conditionally. Food, entertainment, evening shows everything more on italian designed, if the sea would not, actually for german totlangweiliges hotel, in my opinion altersheimmäßige atmosphere! Area much too extensive, and the partial very bumpy because of, and poor lighting, you need to on foot his, so the long paths very bother us, as is the only in the summer at 45 °c!? read more

    The location in the desert, okay, you knew already before the reservation, then just have to in the hotel be offered anymore. Entertainment moderate you as german, do not even asked, whether one a game want to participate!? Trips entirely overpriced, one has no other option. Important : please do not Hurghada as an airport select, were 4,5 hours in a narrow little bus. Driver raised like a henker, at night without light, was the horror!

It was a very relaxing vacation. The staff was very friendly and the food somewhat monotonous but apart from that very good quality. The whole complex is very spacious and nicely laid out. The paths on the complex are very uneven, so that the very careful must, so that you do not stumble upon it. Internettempfang really bad and very expensive. A wonderful area, the unfortunately a direct access to the 'deep' sea was missing. For swimmers in the sea this is a small downside. The problem but with a footbridge will be resolved. Very good food and all great in condition. Very spacious and quiet. You can freely on extensive and lighted paths walks on the complex - in evening-make. Of course the fine sandy beach. No importunate verkäufer and no noisy entertainers. All are very respectful. You, and if no interest, one is totally left alone. The is very pleasant and for Egypt unusual. read more

The hotel complex is beautiful and because of the size, it wasn't overcrowded. The paths are because of that it was a bit long, but that there is a pick-up service, we needed of course not. At the front desk someone was that german always spoke and also on other staff met this often too. As schnorchelfreund one comes on its costs here, even turtles could be observed. A camera with you is worthwhile. We will be back! read more

We were in january/february for fourteen days on the complex. We really enjoyed it. The rooms were huge and very clean. Registered complaints were within minutes. The food was very diverse. There was for any taste a wide selection. The staff was very friendly and extremely polite. The size of the area was overwhelming. In spite of the good capacity of the hotel, you didn't feel pestered by the other guests. In Germany arrived we came with the cold winter not at all clear and at the end of february another time the gorgonia come back. We immediately felt at ... home and enjoyed everything so much like the first time. This hotel we will happy to recommend. read more

For us it was a relaxing vacation! The staff is super friendly, also without baksheesh ☺ at the front desk one was always with a smile welcomes. The food was really great delicious and diverse! Who something to moan about has, of which i even home on the table look ☺ We have also each week once the fish restaurant & pizzeria visited! It was another atmosphere and was very tasty! We find it just a great pity, the wonderful reef not better respected! There were three high chairs set up, the while we were there unfortunately never occupied. The ... rifftrampler you should not only by blowing caution. Perhaps you over a footbridge into the water think about it. A minus point, we must unfortunately still forgive! The internet is way too slow and also way too expensive:-( read more

The hotel has 348 rooms. These are 22 buildings with 16 rooms divided. We did that as a very pleasant felt, since the hotel guests good on the whole area distribute. The hotel was very clean and was daily everywhere cleaned. With the all-inclusive we were very satisfied, you could whole day food and beverage supply as much as you wanted. In addition we got every day a bottle of water on our room. At the bar there were only open drinks. There was especially italian and german tourists. The hotel was in the winter however half empty, which we ... thought was pleasant. In the whole hotel area wlan is available, however for a fee. And this was so astronomically, that we had to pass.     The rooms are huge and clean. The bathroom consists of a toilet, a large shower and a sink. Here it must be mentioned, the 5-star, which the hotel advertise something about the objective. The furniture are partly very worn, scratched, the closets squeak and so on. I write only for such, the very high standards and a 5 star hotel after our standards expected. Because these tourists may be disappointed. That did not disturb us! But we have the very nice service and the beautiful reef very much appreciated and we also our room felt good!

    There is a buffet restaurant, where you, lunch and dinner can. At lunch there was in addition, the beach bar the possibility something to eat. It also has a seafood restaurant and a italian restaurant. These are 'à-la-carte-restaurants'. There one has simply the possibility between two different dishes to choose. The food was always very tasty. In the morning fresh fried eggs or omelets made and in the evening you could pastas after request with various ingredients freshly prepared. The restaurant was always clean and also nicely furnished. The staff was very friendly, however, it was already expected, that you always some tip there was. What the money is you in the whole hotel in the pay in the shops and so on. Best with Euro served. The national currency of Egypt only reluctantly accepted and you get a miserable rate!...

    The staff was extremely friendly and always work hard to fulfill all wishes. The sprachbegabung this pool was truly amazing! In english, german and especially italian one can inform oneself well. The room was cleaned every morning. In addition we got every morning a new bottle of water. In the hotel there was also a child care, and a doctor. A very special and a little ridiculous service of the hotel is the creation of a ' own time zone ' (Cairo-time +1 hour). This time only in the hotel and should aim at, that one in the evening longer at the beach can stay. Unbelievable but true! :-)

    There is an entertainment team, the one however in peace leave if you don't want to. At the beach there is bocchia-courses and the possibility beachvolleyball to play. Also basketball and Tennis play. For the children it has a play area and a miniature golf course. Gorgonia also has its own diving school. The loungers are free and in very good condition. At the beach at every umbrella also a wind protection. This much appreciated. Also showers are available.

    The hotel lies directly at a very nice sandy beach. Great for walks at the beach. However the best part was the nearby riff pleased! We were often at the outer reef, and countless fish and corals seen. With the fins it was absolutely not a problem and then again purely to swim. The sea was surprisingly quiet, it was hardly any waves, although it almost always was windy. The sea was around 22 to 23 degrees, it had however cold currents, so we a neoprene suit rented. So that we could it for hours while snorkeling 'bear '. :-) The hotel is luckily very on the protection of the environment concerned, since it is located within a national park. From the Marsa Alam Airport one drives with the car about 1,5 hours. The drive was very pleasant. You should take care, that you directly to Marsa Alam flies and not on Hurghada travel to. The drive from there is much longer (about 3 hours). The hotel is very much off the beaten track, you can tell on all sides only desert. There are no restaurants, shops, and so on. Outside of the hotel. In the hotel itself there were a few small souvenir shops. Excursions from the tour operator or directly at the beach the hotel staff offered. We enjoyed the secluded location very much, since we were here looking for peace and relaxation and found it.

    This is the first hotel in Egypt where we from the salad up to the ice eat everything and no stomach problems had. With the offer at the buffet very satisfied. Also on the cleanliness in the restaurant very much importance is attached, it is these constantly from the managers monitored. I love the egyptians, because they always laugh and a laugh are. Hamada our zimmerboj also has again everything for us great service.

    Each of the this hotel you know, that this hotel was located in a nature reserve and 11 kilometres north and 2 kilometres south only desert and sea. The mangroves grow until directly to to the beach. The transfer time from the Marsa Alam Airport is about 2 hours. For snorkelers a dream. Inden innenlagunen there are turtles, blaupunkt and geigenrochen. The outer reef is a dream, for the time being no jetty but after statement from the manager is being built.

    The roomboy was very courteous and friendly, but was our room from the beginning not very clean. One saw squashed flies on the walls and sticky nightstand the previous tourists, by seconded drinks caused. Very simple and functional designed room, the our needs fully short. Every room has its own safe, a hair dryer, german, italian, french and english channels.

    Hotel lies about 1 hour, 40 minutes away from the Marsa Alam Airport, if no stops are necessary. Otherwise the journey takes 2-2,5 hours. Around the hotel there was only desert, in the hotel even a few, but very expensive souvenir shops. For more distant excursions, such as for example to Cairo or Luxor you need a lot of time, partially 5 hours for the way and again 5 for the return trip (Luxor). Trips to Cairo are not at all only offered, since too far away.

For us it was once again a superb vacation. It is nice to see how the hotel every year still better for example the extension of the außenbereichs, the way with the beautiful but somewhat holpringen pflasters will be repaired and the desired footbridge to the outer reef approved and so on Value for money is as already often described unbeatable.     Circa 1,5 hours from the Marsa Alam Airport in the desert location. Right next to the nature reserve 'wadi el gemal' location. Small shopping in the hotel. Very spacious and nice hotel, only fly in the ointment, in the part of the hotel, in which we were accommodated, the paths in the said condition. However the beach and the nearby riff are simply brilliant! Beach chairs and umbrellas, and wind protection are at the beach sufficiently available.
