The hotel Gorgonia Beach is a good mittelklassenhotel. The complex is huge and spacious. The outdoor area is good clean and tidy kept. The structure but already badly worn, if one considers, that the complex nor not at all so old. But that didn't disturb me in my opinion not large. The guests are international, especially italian, german and swiss. In Egypt you much russian guests, in gorgonia not. Must not, but can be an advantage. read more

The hotel offers a very quiet, relaxing holiday with the possibility a very good schnorchelreviers.
The coral reef is still excellent in tact and the diversity of fish is very good. We have rays, sharks, turtles, moray eels and a variety of rifffischen seen. The korallengarten had every day a
New surprise for us ready.
The rooms in the hotel are very nice appointed and offer a good convenience, the bathroom is over dimensionally large.
The buffet is beautifully arranged and was constantly refilled. read more

The transfer from the Marsa Alam Airport took this time with us 1 1/4 hours, whereas no other hotel driven to have been. Last year it was 2 hours.
The hotel complex is extensive. One comes nevertheless fast from a to b. the gardens were or have our stay exactly a year ago further re-planted.
The rooms, as well as the bathrooms are large and clean.
In the restaurant is for cleanliness always valued. The food tastes great and whoever this selection of the food didn't find anything there, it was your own fault!
At the beach are enough loungers ... available. Only if the german tourists prevail, is the mandatory place anytime of the chairs there. read more

Gorgonia is a great hotel for snorkelers and divers. And they should be in mind, if you this hotel bay.
The entertainment limits, for families it is definitely not the best choice and in the vicinity of the hotel there is nothing at all. But if you because of the hotel reef, there is, will be thrilled. You could also very good trips further, great reefs or to popular places from there book (Luxor, philä etc.) And scuba diving lessons.
Silly is something, that a wireless internet access 14 Euro on the day costs and the reception in many ... corners the hotel very bad. This should for a hotel this category nowadays but different be regulated. However overall the hotel is very comfortable, the complex very clean and recommendable. I will definitely go back go there. read more

This hotel was in february / march 2013 to 100% fully booked! This speaks for itself! The neighboring hotel shams alam, however, had only 12 (twelve) guests!
Hospitality is important, the culinary delights are varied and very well seasoned.
Only the lack of separation of smokers and non-smokers in the outdoor area gives cause for a complaint, because who wants already during dinner the smoke of his inconsiderate neighbors inhallieren?
Unfortunately, the inner reef of the hotel reef, very suffered, so you on the outer edge of the reefs have to swim, the corals and/or the diversity the fish able ... to experience.
Be careful with the tours for snorkelling, especially with 'dolphins'. The dolphin house is none of the fellow and the reef sataya the mammals also only quiet lake. The passage in the wind isn't recommendable and has already been some to the fate (purely from the solar plexus spoken!).

We were here for the 2. time and are definitely coming again. Since we passionate snorkelers are is this hotel for us a paradise. The hotel is situated in a nature reserve and has fortunately still no jetty to the reef. This is probably also the reason for the uniqueness and beauty of the reef, as well as the abundance of species of the fishes. read more

We can only recommend the hotel. Already at check in we were friendly, even german. We had a great quiet room. Emphasized should be here, as well as in the whole complex the cleanliness. The complex is really nice green and well-kept, and of course daily watering. The residential buildings are two-storied around the pool area and reception group. The pool was cleaned daily. Despite full occupancy, you always get his lounger by the pool or at the beach, even if you rises somewhat later. The food has us also very good, one knows nachwürzen, if you want. Once a ... week you can in one of the two specialty restaurants food. Intestine problems had none of us. All in all a wonderful area with great service and very pleasant staff. Very good possibility for snorkelling. Very clean, large room, big balcony with 2 armchairs, table and a chair. Long and wide well kept beach also for long walks. Plenty of beach chairs with umbrellas and daily fresh towels. The food very diverse and tasty. Many excursions for offer. A beautiful hotel in a great location, which we once again

We had a spontaneous (1 week booked in advance) and very nice vacation, we would not have expected.
Deciding factor for us was a review, that the hotel 'russenfrei' is. Don't get me wrong, we have nothing against other nations and/or cultures, only who Nation already times on vacation experienced, know what i'm talking about.
Furthermore we wanted to peace and we in fact there found. The entertainers were not pushy at all, the audience rather quiet and the staff very courteous.
Whoever wants to party is in the wrong place here (although there is a disco in the hotel ... returns), who trips on own fist to make would like is here also wrong (even a rental car cannot organize). read more

To the individual points prior to already in detail have been reported. I think the hotel in relation to size and layout very spacious and pleasant. Some tourists found the look somewhat too few playful but we liked it. Condition and cleanliness was good to very good. A shame that there is no wireless internet access. At least in the lobby this should be offered free. A credit of use to avoid, could a daily time limit be turned on.
The guest structure changes constantly. Were in the first days lots of italians present, came many german speaking guests (unfortunately ..., the number of the liegenreservierer at the beach).
Surprisingly also many Sweden. Age from young to old. Percentage but mostly over 40 i think it is also the season at.

It is a very pleasant hotel, with 5 star category (!).
Through the considerable size of the hotel area was the atmosphere despite the good occupancy rate never crowded. Only in the dining room it was sometimes a bit loud, because for the most part very small children were thereby. If you stay here but the italians should be, must be as german, even in the nose believe. If families their children for a long time and loud (although the mother or the father right sat) ignore and nerve slaying cry left, so it was at least during our stay ... - german. Until then the already very strong fully occupied service with a few friendly gestures aushalf. Unfortunately, there were also again and again guests, this hotel with a rate change.
Extremly was pleasant, that practically no russian tourists occur.
The food was good and diverse, particularly the daily changing barbecue on the terrace. The desserts were a dream and always beautifully arranged, bread-and breakfast excellent.
The service was - with or without tips-always good, we never had the impression, only for the tips work, which we therefore gladly gave.
Sometimes it seemed but, that the employees very under pressure stood (we almost sorry)-however, we found it still never hectically and always friendly. The intelligent, with its refined sense of humour of the egyptian is anyway very pleasant, even if guests should be, the than arrogant feeling.
The complex itself was clean and partly beautifully bepflanzt. In the peripheral areas were the grounds but a bit sparse and some palm trees broken, as well as the lawn partly brown, what but constantly used.
The atmosphere by the pool was pleasant, the music not too loud and the entertainers unobtrusive, friendly and always ready for fun.
The beach is the property approximately 700 meters long, very clean and fine sand, you can in southern, as in north almost endlessly long walks and then places, where the right next to banks, underwater incipient shelf is interrupted at sand also barefoot into the water go can.
Everywhere at the beach are spread out enough chairs with umbrellas and windbreaks. In reasonable distance there are cabins with cushions and towels, the quality of any body transported and ones are. The towels will, of course, daily washed. As critics claim may, that these löchrig and dirty, is a mystery to us.

Already inside so facing the land side you can see a beautiful underwater world, with rays, small sharks, sea turtles and many, lots of colorful fish and corals, the everything seems fairly intact.
A great shame is however, that it was only difficult with the-allegedly very nice outside (so sea side)-this hotel reef, reached. There are only two good durchschwimmbare passages, but for the novice in the hotel basically not identified. The main reef is partly very breitflächig often only a half metres under the surface of the sea. We have often heard, that people hardly got back and the whole rather not at all tried. Since the connoisseur almost all diving suits, or tauchshortys carried. The northern beach area is the entrance to the outer reef not at all characterized and southern section (at the diving school) are probably buoys, the however also not really to see. A jetty-nature or not-here would be a great asset and probably much less harmful than if the guests then (unintentional) over the reef walk.
It is urgently recommended mask, fins and tauchshorty to bring itself, because this is for the local rental fees in Germany loosely to buy can.

This resort is like all in Marsa Alam in the middle of in the desert. Around is miles nothing except sand. The shuttle from the airport takes about 2 hours. The way is worthwhile but, because if you want to enjoy a relaxing sunny holiday, without much around would like to, is in the right place here. The food is amazing and diverse. The employees are extremely helpful, friendly and speak great ' touristendeutsch.'
The hotel guests are estimated from 50% german and 50% italian tourists together. The entertainment (if you would like) is mostly in italian, as most ... of the entertainers italians are. If you're not interested in the entertainment program, without large trouble an arc to make. The people are reserved and it rumbles not on every corner. The beach is wonderfully clean and with chairs, as well as umbrellas and windbreaks equipped. For who wants it, can go on excursions, or directly at the beach snorkelling. For swimming is the sea not quite, because the seafloor rocky and uneven is, but if you take in the is hard, can be amused also here in the blue overflow partying. Otherwise there is as an alternative a large pool area, with plenty of sun loungers. All in all for relaxation perfect. Great weather, everything clean and tidy, very good food, friendly staff and for a short sunny holiday, also as a single traveller, very convenient. The only drawback is the expensive (30 minutes -4, -€) and bad wi-fi. But it is also time without - on vacation! read more

Nice hotel with very pleasant staff. The rooms are io, it mü sste something to improve, to. The food is great there is every day a great buffet with delicious food. For children gladly Nutella like, take a glass in your bags ☺ otherwise there was really everything! We have fut-family room with connecting door & sea view. We got one with a view of the fence. Well after 2 days we had a different room. Still no sea view and also still nearby the amphitheatre, so that it was not possible the children in the evening to sleep. The ... music the shows was so loud, that no child sleep could. Unfortunately, they were very expensive room only in this area of the hotel. There is a heated swimming pool, which is 120 centimeter, deep. Unfortunately, the 65 centimeter children's swimming pool not heated and is so also at the end of march for small too cold. The beach is very beautiful and like the rest of the hotel very clean and always tidy. Inside should be from their own caution only with beach shoes. The reef, which is beautiful, behebert many species of animals. Not all the people really great. What i understand, because if 50 people through my living room and 20 of which me touch want, i would also sour. Check you should in advance of the fish in the sea. Surgeonfish for example, then can't happen. The diving basis is under german management and all are very nice. I had my own snorkel guide on the reef, it was nice and i have seen as the masses the free snorkelling went. It was our 2. visit to the Gorgonia Beach and definitely not the last. We also this time very satisfied and about the great value for money looking forward to it. Guest structure mainly consisted of italians, germans and dutch. Very peaceful coexistence, we nobody is negative or noisy notice. Most were beginning march couples different age groups are represented and families with small children. The hotel is really new and well maintained. You constantly saw somewhere someone cleaning, rakes, trees and flowers grow or similar. read more
