The hotel is on a great location direct close to the Piazza Grande where in the summer concerts and the film festival take place. The furnishing is good and nice but no more. Free parking spaces in the surroundings ( blue area approximately 200 meters) read more

The hotel is really very centrally located, also to the Lido Locarno ( great Bathhouse) it is on foot not far. Unfortunately the hotel has no balcony. For a stay until 3 nights was for us however not a problem. We booked through the hotel's own website so about 400-for the 3 nights pays. We have actually without breakfast booked, this was but somehow nevertheless this; what we of course not disturbed :-). For the parking in the garage you pay 16-/ day. Rather much, however therefor one has a good parking. read more

First, we would the Ibis again. One must know however, what you Bay. It is a basic city hotel. We were already in some typical ticinese accommodation, but they are either significantly more expensive, or are not so central in Locarno, such as the Ibis. It is really very central. The area is however not exactly romantic, quite sober, functional, busy, quite busy-with open windows sleep nearly not, we made, because it in the room quite warm and the air conditioning canceled was, but the noise the street the whole night was borderline. Sad, that every a towel had, criticized ... especially my wife. The bathroom was a wet room, just large enough, the shower cubicle was surprisingly large. There was shower gel, a hair dryer, but only one towel per person. The room was not very big, for 2a 3 nights but sufficient. There was a tv, a open closet for hanging and a open Wardrobe with Einlege -subjects. Also a desk, a chair and a luggage rack. The hotel has a lift and two staircases, the underground car park was being renovated. We had to move to a nearby parking garage to evade (16. 20 SFR/24 h), the at the hotel directly there are only 5-6 parking spaces and at the street you have to buy car-parking tickets. The breakfast was, in comparison to Rest of the hotel, very Tessin-typical, very delicious. There were incredibly good cheese, unusual for a hotel, different atmosphere, certainly not cheap. In addition Italian Salami, two fantastic sorts, to Mortadella and cooked ham, cold hard boiled eggs, different rolls and bread, muesli, super delicious Natural Yoghurt, fruit, filled sweet Croissants, croissants, 2 fruit juices and 2 sorts of mineral water, marmelade, Nutella, honey, very good coffee ( the professional machine, different kinds of), tea, and much more the hotel lies only 2 minutes from the lake and no 5 minutes of the center and the pedestrian precinct. Oh, on the top floor there is a sauna. In summary one can say, the location is great, the breakfast also ( if you definitely not warm breakfast need ), the rooms are big enough, the price was OK, not so we were thrilled with it, that the hotel-own parking garage not available and the ambience (sober building inside and out, no Tessin-style, sober environment) and the basic facilities (only a towel, open closets). But everything was clean and tidy. read more

Conclusion: we felt good all-round, come already for the second time and would come again. From the sporty infrastructure we could unfortunately lack of time not benefit. Unfortunately, the shipping in spite of the frühlingshafen weather their movement not yet started. But there is for any time of the year many worthwhile walks. read more

We only stayed one night but it was great. The staff is very friendly and eloquent in languages (English, German, French and Italian). 24 hour staffed the front desk. The location is great, lots of shopping and close to the train station and Lake. Very good value for money, was a super short vacation, with great pleasure again...=) read more

The Ibis Locarno, this time the breakfast in addition and we were not disappointed. The buffet it was regularly refilled, the choice of food was very good. The room is big enough, the bathroom was sufficient. The location to the lake and the city is spectacular. We would definitely recommend this ibis again at any time book, very recommendable! read more

the hotel is really highly recommended. We stayed for 2 nights since, had without breakfast booked. The espresso at the bar was perfect and is worth the money. We can recommend the hotel without further and July will take account of the moon and the stars 2011 there again. read more

great central location. In about 5 minutes you can reach on foot the Piazza Grande and the Lago Maggiore. Ideal for a city trip or visit one of the various festivals. the hotel is modern decor and offers everything you need-but really only and no 'frills'( for example: 3 in 1 soaps-shower/shampoo dispenser, ever 1 towel per person candlewick and a floor towel, TV, air conditioning, telephone). The rooms were a bit small, but for a city trip absolutely sufficient. Underground parking for 16-SFR /. night be used. There is also a sauna (we didn't use it). Breakfast for 15-SFR/person ... (not used)- recommend in particular with good weather in a close convenient cafe for breakfast. Snacks and drinks can either at the bar or from an automat around the hour to be an absolute plus. read more
