I wanted people travelling from out of the country to know that this is a great, friendly place to stay! The rooms are quaint and clean. There is free internet and everyone who works there is multilingual. They do everything they can to help you get around Lugano and get to know the area and they are very reasonably priced. I go to Lugano many times per year and always stay there! read more

The room for three persons on the 4. floor was spacious and tastefully decorated. The big balcony on two sides of the room allowed a view over the roofs of Lugano and the lake. The mood was awesome. The location of the hotel, nearby lake, Piazza and shopping, as well as the friendly service made our stay more than pleasant! read more

In the hotel PESTALOZZI was I had always welcomed in a friendly manner have been. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, without knick-knack however therefor with heart. The rooms are simply furnished, but are relatively well maintained and have but for the two stars-level standard comfort. Many are to the inner courtyard aligned and so quiet and shaded. Currently there is a renovation instead of. The cleaning could have been a bit thorough his (hair on the floor). The location is very centrally located. Old town, shore of the lake, Parco ciani, convention center, Meese (espocentro), urban bus station (Lugano ... Centro) and LiDo only a couple of minutes footpath away. read more

The hotel is located right in the centre of Lugano. Two five-minute walk to the lake and the pedestrian area. The stay was very pleasant, the hotel and our room was very clean and the staff helpful. Only the breakfast was not so varied. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

The hotel is on the edge of the city centre nearby the lake, the town of garden and the palazzo the Congressi location. It has friendly staff and cheap, clean rooms with shower and toilet in corridor. The restaurant is alcohol; the food was delicious and reasonably priced. read more

We only stayed for one night in the hotel PESTALOZZI, but we enjoyed it very much. Our room was very spacious 32, beautifully designed and the staff from the front desk to the cleaning lady and the service at the breakfast were extremely friendly. The breakfast buffet was continental, so far more than ' notorious 'Italian breakfast. read more

The hotel deserved more than two star for the beautiful rooms, the multilingual staff, the great restaurant. In the two days, where i was there, the food was seasonally perfect adapted and very good prices (for Switzerland). Two thumbs up for this great hotel - keep up the good work! read more

Nice front desk (multi-lingual!), which for us very pleasant was, after we only had a few speak italian!
Large room - in the calm inner courtyard - with a large bathroom. Very clean and friendly designed. Lots of space for our luggage. There were supposedly rooms in all kinds of sizes and categories.
Staff was always helpful and very friendly, tips and questions regarding inspection possibilities, there were for us.
And after the various inspections were only a couple of steps from the hotel in the nearby located park or the 'promenade' of Lugano. Ideal for in the evening the ... day well off. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area, restaurant in the hotel!
We can definitely recommend this hotel. read more

After a recommendation from our friends/neighbors we decided, PESTALOZZI to book a double room at the hotel. It was definitely worth it, because the rooms are very clean and nicely equipped, the staff is great and the restaurant is also vegetarian dishes. Furthermore, the hotel is very centrally located, two minutes walking distance from the shopping streets, the numerous restaurants in the centre and the Lake Lugano. Just great! read more

A very Central Hotel, the rooms are newly renovated and modern, the staff very nice and friendly. Perfect for a business trip in Lugano, but also suitable for families. Close to the lake and the centre of Lugano. Furthermore, there are a number of tourist attractions in the region, from the hotel are very good reachable. read more

The hotel's restaurant no alcohol served, I learned. But this didn't bother me. The garden/backyard on the room was quiet. I could imagine, that the rooms on the street because of traffic noisy. Good food, pleasant restaurant rooms, very friendly service. Réception also very accommodating. read more

It was ok in general, the restaurant offering breakfast downstairs was sympathetic and the shower in the corridor was clean and well functioning. The pillows smelled cigarette smoke and the bed was very brief for my partner who is a long person, the cigarrette smell had been tried to get covered by an Ikea vanilla extract, which was the least ok thing. read more

For a weekend stay the PESTALOZZI hotel was great! It is centrally located, this means you can be reached in a few minutes to the city park, the sea, the swimming pool and the old town with many restaurants and shopping. Ideal is the parking garage right next door, where we and sufficient parking spaces found. 29-Sfr. Two days could leave the car.
The rooms in the hotel are equipped with the necessities. Equipped toilet and shower are located in the hallway, but very clean! We have five times a shower and found the shower was always freshly cleaned!
What ... we missed was an air conditioner or at least a fan in the room. With the heat in July we could almost not sleeping and outside it was due to a concert with opened window to sleep. read more

This hotel is a good and central location. The room was clean and functional for a city break. There are parking spaces in a nearby garage rather expensive from 01:00 o 'clock until 09:00 o' clock I paid about CHF 14). At 30 degrees outside I had to open the window, which was proved in the busy street (Lane 3) to be very noisy, as a light signal before and since many happy and had to stop their engines. My girlfriend couldn't sleep the next day and was not in itself, which suggested the mood! The breakfast was ... forget, very basic, no fresh fruits. read more

Good, central location in Lugano. Wonderful balcony on the top floor with a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding area. Functional Breakfast. Courteous and friendly staff. The room was rather small, but clean. At the lake and close to many restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity. Highly recommended two star hotel. read more

I was with my class in the year 2010 there and would never again there against! This hotel is the worst I have ever seen! The staff was completely unfriendly time, and could hardly speak German, although the Schwez a country belongs in the you should speak German. Well, the food was a disaster! We had only booked breakfast, and there was not a lot of selection. Two kinds of cereal and cereal and old bread from the day before, so if you are a great care should be a little more flare!
The room was the I-item on the ... whole hotel. The rooms were small and ugly, just a sink in the room was, if you wanted to go to the toilet you had to traipse through the corridor, just like the showers. They looked to be dirty from. Oh no! I rate only as never to book a room! read more
