The location of the hotel is ideal-you could reach the town center and the port from there on foot. Satisfactory was also as breakfast and the cleanliness in the hotel. However was the room inclusive bathroom very small. In the bathroom there was no window and no air ventilation ☹
In summary the hotel is for a short towns-trip definitely recommend this hotel to others. read more

The hotel used to be a hospital or anything to be former. The rooms are partly still gets the hump or nurses available for sisters. It is very old and looks total shabby. The room cleaning was okay. After the first night, we asked for another room, since at the latest after 30 minutes our toilet the water started to walk (through the whole night). Impeccably we got another room. Nevertheless, we have not felt comfortable in the hotel. At the breakfast one should cutlery, glasses and cups as well as better not to look closely (it could be one ... the appetite). The relatively good location of the hotel, but it should be mentioned, however. About 3-4 minutes in, you are either on one of the next bus stop or to one of the metro stations. About 10-15 minutes in, you could even walk to the centre of the beautiful city. Conclusion: if you don't have high expectations and you're looking for a hotel only for staying overnight, this hotel book. Since we but our city breaks are more used, hotels with a certain 'feel-good character' to have, we would not stay here again read more

Hotel Jorge V is the simple middle class hotel in a good location. For a city journey the standard itself was more than adequate and the location to the metro station Marques de Pombal you total flexibility. The breakfast is normal standard, the coffee is terrible, but it does nothing. In the periphery there are sufficient possibilities, a nice galao to drink ☺
We had a room at the front of the hotel and a balcony. Simple decor, with television, mini-bar, etc. in the bathroom you could not just look into the corners, light wear and mold. But for the ... really unimpressive offer, for the we booked this hotel, you shouldn't complain. Incidently, Lisbon is a great city! read more

Simple old and cheap city hotel. Our bathroom did not have windows or a fan!
Ventilation so the room windows only possible from the bedroom. It was very hard to get used to. The room was a little musty smells therefore and plaster-and disinfectants. Each room has its own air conditioner compressor/fan outside the window or on the balcony. Continued strong noise from the other rooms air conditioning and very strong noise from the streets to be heard.
Windows are not sound proof. If you have a bad sleeper you should look for another hotel.
Supermarket and McDonalds in about ... five minutes on foot.
Taxi to the airport cost hotel on the day eleven euro.
Taxi to the city center in the night seven Euro Hotel.
72 hour ticket for bus/metro/tram/train/ferry has 11.75 euros.
public transport in Lisbon perfectly constructed. In the stations and on the streets constantly police and security guards on the way. The streets are very clean-smell but eat from time to time pressure-grouted.
Staff didn't speak German only English.
Breakfast buffet Okay
Table very clean-each guest a new tablecloth if necessary. Coffee was only Luke warm and very hard to get used to. read more

Small city hotel in a central, but quiet location. Very appears: buses, metro just a few minutes walk, the centre approximately twelve minutes walk. Supermarket two blocks away. The rooms are small, the bathroom was very small-but it is a city hotel at reasonable price. The daily towel changing praise-worthy respectively. The breakfast was good and wide (offered, good rolls, croissants, sausage, ham, eggs, cheese, fruit, yogurt, jam, etc. it was always refilled.
Tips: taxi from the airport cost 17.00 euros (even if and to the airport was between ten and twelve euro)-bad if you don't speak Portuguese. Watch ... out for restaurants, often offer doorman cheap food/menus without the drink prices pretty, they are not on the menu. There will be tucking.
Bonjardim Travesa in the de Santo antao the (near metro restauradores)-here it is supposed to be the best chicken in the city. good and cheap. Good Portuguese cuisine in the restaurant Cervejaria Portugal, rue Correiros 216/218 DOS. Swordfish for 6.95, swordfish 7.95. Wine from 6.80/bottle. read more

Under no circumstances accept room 701 (is located under the bleeder the laundry). Until 8:00 A.M. very noisy from 6:00 P.M.. At night there is often only after request turned off. We remained unclear, if you got the room at the front of the hotel, with balcony. In the rooms at the back of the curtain can not be opened, from Einsichtsmöglichkeiten benachbatem building. read more

We were on city trip in Lisbon on the way. Flight and hotel with dertour. Shuttle was not included but excellent connections by Bus (bus or normal bus). At the entrance of the room we were first pressed. Everything was very old and worn. The room, as well as the bathroom and dark. Similarly, the room had a certain 'reason stale'. Treasures from the old carpet. We had expected but nothing major. But hopes you on a surprise. We were on the fifth floor and our room was at the back. Under US thick tubes (view from the window) and ... around the o'clock was a persistent noise was heard. Ventilation or similar (not sure)-even with the windows closed. After the showers were completely fogged up the windows in the sleeping area. but: we were nonetheless satisfied and felt very comfortable in it. The Charme of the city, as well as the friendliness of the staff made up for it! The beds were comfortable. Also the blanket we used to. Without this it was unfortunately not at those temperatures. Apparently some of the bathrooms are already been renovated (as a previous report). Our's surrounding was quite good for shopping. At the breakfast we were always full, even if mostly cold scrambled eggs and bacon. Finally you complains on a high level and who have high expectations, you should choose a hotel with more stars. For the price of trip: really in order! Tip: nearby there is a mini-market, open until 21 o'clock. Also you can reach the city center very well to foot and more. Also nearby is however a metro station (Marques de Pombal) in which you refer to all means of transport, for example, can buy a day ticket (3.70 €plus unique 50 cents for the rechargeable card). Which is great: with the old tram line 28 a tour at dusk or make in the dark: everything was great and looks quite different than during the day. For the first orientation was worth the trip. You will be surprised, as everything is close together. All in all: for a city trip is the Hotel Jorge V really in order and sufficient. It has just seen better days. read more

The breakfast left a lot to be desired, the pre-packaged jam tasted not very good, the coffee was rather Ersatzkaffee and no grain.
Transport links to the city center (Metro, buses) very good.
The first night I had the room facing the Front Street change, as all three minutes the sound of a cooling system under me hummed and I alredy sleep. The change to the rear out was easy. Doormen were all friendly and accommodating.

The hotel convinced through its Central but still quiet location. The rooms are neat, with balcony and are cleaned spotless every day. The breakfast buffet was very varied (mirror and scrambled eggs, bacon, sweet pastries, fruit, versch. Rolls, cereal and V. M.); the coffee but you should dilute ggfs. with something hot water :-)
Very good price/performance ratio. read more
