This was our first time in Baden-Baden but for sure not our last onee. We love this beautiful city and the friendly hotel Merkur. The city and the hotel are small and lovely. The location of the hotel MERKUR is perfect. You can reach everything in a just a few minutes walking distance.
Our double room superior was large, modern, comfortable and clean, with everything you need and a very special extra: free of charge Sky-tv-channels, so we could watch the Champions Leaque football games in our hotel room Wifi is also free charge (like it should be in ... every hotel) and you can order a iPod-docking-station and bathrobes also free of charge.
The food at the restaurant and the breakfast was excellent and the service was friendly.
Also the staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. We felt us very welcome from our first step in the hotel Merkur and we look forward to come back in a warmer period.
They told us spring should be a very beautiful time in Baden-Baden.
We want also recommend you the Museum Frieder Burda and the Friedrichsbad if you visit Baden-Baden.
At the night there is a good entertainment in the Equipage at the Kurhaus with live music (every night, if I remember right). One more extra at the hotel MERKUR: at our check in we get a voucher for a free drink at the EQUIPAGE.

Already 2. stay in the Merkur. We will gladly come again. The only negative was, that the room too few was warm. Despite hochstellung the heating, it remained cool. The floor even freezing. This should also a external room minus temperatures not be the case. The bathroom could beautifully warm, as long as the door closed remained. read more

The Hotel Merkur is very good and just a few strides from the pedestrian zone, where many shopping and dining possibilities. Also the christmas market, the casino and kurhaus in a few minutes walking distance. The superior rooms are by the size very pleasant and with attention to detail equipped. The breakfast is for a three stars haus spectacular and there should be praised. A shame that you for a car park as a hotel guest 9 Euro per night pay must. But overall a successful short trip in a pleasant environment. read more

The room was located in the side building (2nd floor without elevator). It was renovated and well equipped, however very badly soundproofed.
Breakfast is reasonable, however not very varied.
Hotel is very centrally located 3 minutes to the convention center respectively 5 minutes to the health resort ( within walking distance). read more

Well-maintained hotel with a charm, the even in small houses rare to find.
We loved the cleanliness and friendliness very pleased. The rooms are modern however comfortable and with all the comforts, which one to be comfortable needs, equipped.
The gastronomic offer in our experience also enthusiastic. Sky -tv and wi-fi are free of charge, the parking garage with 9,- Euro is for Baden-Baden very cheap.
Another plus point is the great location. Very central and yet quiet. As the value for money is really great, is the hotel Merkur our first choice and recommendation in Baden-Baden. read more

The hotel lies in the middle of the Hotelruhezone in Baden-Baden, and is therefore very quiet at night. Nevertheless everything is worth seeing because of the central location very good and easy to reach. A parking garage is available, keys is at the front desk deposit, since several vehicles in a row have to park.
What the cleanliness regards, the hotel is unsurpassed-excellent!
Also the furnishings and the setting for a three star superior hotel exceptional. The service is discreet and professional, the details votes. You feel all around very well taken care of and comfortable.
We would definitely book ... the hotel again and can the stay there absolutely recommend.
Only the breakfast buffet cannot at the breakfast buffet shore, in some other hotels finds, for then you but also generally 13 €to 20 €paid. To the extent that so no shortcoming, but merely a note. Very recommendable three star hotel in Baden-Baden read more

Everything great!
At the search for a hotel here on HolidayCheck I on the Hotel Merkur encountered and we weren't disappointed.
Starting with the reservation on the hotel's own Homepage, on the check in until the check out what all great.
During the visit the homepage of the Hotel Merkur is me I noticed positively, that the very well arranged and modern and a lot of information over Baden-Baden contains. Particularly the Reservierungsvorgang is on one side very well organized. Here, even the large reservation systems a example take, the which you on by several sides click must. Very nice ... I found the idea of the hotel a thank you very much-gift for direktbuchungen to offer. You could even his personal gift from several select offered.
The very good first impression confirmed also during our stay continuous.
On the way there we were very friendly with all information and got even coupons for the hotel's own restaurant and the bar equipage.
We had a superior -room booked, which was very beautifully equipped and affectionately decorated. The room was spacious and had a comfortable couch, two leather chairs, flat screen-tv, DVD player, mini bar and in-room safes. Otherwise we found bathrobe and a iPod-Docking station in front, which we with our reservation just free with had ordered.
Should be mentioned the free of charge sky -program and Wi-Fi, in some other hotels still is not self-evident.
Since we the restaurant the star-money on the website pleased, we had a candlelight-dinner with booked.
We were greeted by a waitress greeted by name and a very nice set table with several candles run. The food was excellent and we spend a great evening in the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant.
The breakfast we also in the beautiful premises of the restaurant serves. Also here we were attentive and exceedingly friendly served. The buffet was nicely arranged and it wasn't missing anything. Agitating and fried eggs were freshly prepared.
For a three star hotel a bit unusual may be, that you have your car keys at the front desk have to give. Since we these larger hotels also know, this was not a problem for us. The staff be ranked the cars and we had to on our way back only wait, until our car freigeparkt was.
My wife and I wonder us eh, that the Hotel Merkur only 3 -stars superior has. We travel to and why lots of hotels learned. For us was the Merkur a positive surprise and we would the hotel from Gastsicht at least good 4-stars.
You can tell, that the building still privately owned and managed and guests forecasts.
We will be on the our next Baden-Baden-visit (at least the Christmas market) surely again in the Merkur stay and today already on it.

At our hotel search we were impressed by the modern and clear homepage of the hotel Merkur, with a lot of good information about the hotel and also about Baden-Baden. So we booked our stay direct over the homepage and get also a present for our direct booking, which is a nice idea of the hotel. At our arrival we were impressed and surprised again, from the city and the hotel. The hotel Merkur is located very central and quiet. The complete staff was very helpful and friendly with always a smile in their face.
We had a large superior ... room, with a big flat screen, dvd player, in room safe, complimentary sky tv (included the complete champions leaque) and free of charge wifi. We missed nothing in the room and the warm colors and nice decoration make you feeling well and comfortable. My wife enjoyed specially the rain shower in the modern bathroom.
The breakfast buffet was rich and everything was fresh. The late macchiato was maybe better then in Italy.
We had a very good dinner in the restaurant Sterntaler with an excellent and friendly service. My wife still raves about the fantastic massage by the masseur Hubert in the hotel. The hotel Merkur was definitely the best hotel we had in Germany and we want to recommend it highly, as also the wonderful city of Baden-Baden. read more

The hotel belongs to the smaller place. It is other houses surrounded, so no view of the kurgarten or other. One is fast on foot in the town, in the spa gardens and at the bus station. The room was modern and looked still rather newly renovated from. We really liked. For breakfast we did as good as didn't miss anything. The staff were very friendly and helped us with all interests happy to help. Guest parking in the area is bad, so the best directly a place to rent. The restaurant we couldn't test, since we always into town ... and it was really much choice.
Baden-Baden has a lot to offer. The town itself with the lots of old houses is very nice to look at. The casino is simply because the ambiente worth a visit. There is a beautiful way along the oos to the monastery lichtenthal. On the way there happened the gönneranlagen and dahliengarten. A great view the merkurberg, which one could reach comfortably with a mountain railway reach can. read more

The hotel is very beautiful and very centrally located. We have everything on foot very good (casino, thermal bath, restaurants, cinema, etc.)
The rooms are very nice and large. The bathroom is nice but quite small. Everything is clean. The frontdesk employees are very friendly and willing to help.
In the breakfast room I disturbing, that at one point in the room kitchen back right is open. During our breakfast there was a discussion, which I wasn't interested, but inevitably listen had, since the premises not so large and the general noise level was very low. Apart from that ... the breakfast room is very friendly and nice. Especially it is not so hot and the air is not so stuffy as often in seating capacity is the case. read more

Good location with possibilities of improvement the ambiance of the room and at the breakfast buffet.
In any case should something in the fire and protection against fire investment, because only a fire extinguisher in the 1 floor of the Teppenhauses and no smoke detector in the courses and room, you should nowadays but actually not more find. read more

The Hotel Merkur uS wholeheartedly convinced and we will definitely come back. Particularly positive will the very friendly staff and workers in our memory, we were really each desire fulfilled and the term' service' here really lived.
The furnishings and cleanliness of the room did not facilities open and are in our opinion especially worth mentioning.
The varied and extensive breakfast buffet let the start to the day turn out well.

Since we over 20 years Baden-Baden for us have discovered, we come about 2-3 times a year in our 2. Heimat. Over 10 years, we have in the Hotel Merkur for the first time and this since that without exception uncompromised.
The informal and extremely friendly atmosphere of the hotel have the Merkur to our at home in Baden-Baden up. The mostly for years there active staff knows our 'peculiarities' in the meantime and fulfilled almost every wish.
The entire hotel is very clean, modern, as well as affectionately furnished and decorates.
The breakfast buffet and also the restaurant the ... star-money offer excellent quality, in good service in a nice ambiance.
We enjoyed the free of charge sky -program ( soccer at the weekend) and the also free of charge internet.
The more often mentioned parking we see all not a problem. It is actually the key at the front desk to store and the friendly women parkieren our car in the hotel garage, which we generally only to the departure need, because everything in a few minutes easy to reach on foot is.
We feel in Hotel Merkur definitely again on the new very comfortable and would in this way the team for the warm hospitality would like to thank.
