A beautiful hotel, which on closer Contemplation somewhat outdated now is (but it was still everything as a part of). We had a lovely room with a view on the Sarawak river - just amazing! In the hallway smelled however a little musty. The breakfast was great delicious, more than enough and it was really something for everyone - there you could even sushi for breakfast food. ;-) the pool was not enormous, but to the cooling it is enough. read more

We were as a part of our Sarawak -round trip for altogether 4 nights in this hotel. Initially we had a room on the ninth floor with a view of the garden/ pool for two nights. For our trip to Batang all inclusive we had to check out, could our large luggage however in the hotel leave, so that we only with small luggage could travel. When checking out we asked whether, on our way back a room with a view of the river, and this request was met (without extra charge!).
The first room was very big and beautiful. ... The second room this has however still exceeded. The room size was the same, the furnishings was however better, especially in the bathroom.
The location on the waterfront is just great-a few steps over a street you were already there. You can here on Essenständen very good and cheap food, or but with the water taxi over the river in the food centre to eat. Of course, there is also other restaurants nearby.
In the hotel we have only the breakfast buffet used. The selection was not excessively, but sufficient and good in terms of taste. There is several restaurants in the hotel, amongst others with buffet variëteit, but also à la carte as the steak house and a Japanese restaurant. We did however not used.
The front desk with the lobby and opportunities to sit is attractive. Next to the lobby there is a café with super -delicious Cappuccino! Here you can also free the internet use.
Beautiful pool in the garden with small pool bar available. read more

for this hotel I would 4 stars useless, because
- the room and bath getting old are.
-Currency exchange in the hotel is not always possible, because the stock of Malaysian ringgit not
is sufficient. Better on the airport money change.

location is centrally located and on foot is the city with its sights reachable

We were in this hotel in the context of a round trip. For 1/2 nights enough. But very shabby. At the moment, is currently undergoing renovations. Didn't bother us, since we were out all day. Breakfast was very good. Staff was always friendly. We were in the 'top spot seafood Center' food. Excellent! You can sit under loud locals and should not expect luxury. But the food was really great. read more

Hilton Kuching is in a great location to all the sights of Kuching and the surrounding area. In the evening you can easily stroll to the waterfront or one of the small ferry boats to the food courts on the other side go (highly recommended!) leave. The Sunday market with a taxi within easy reach, as well as the semenggoh orang-utan station and the Sarawak Cultural village.
From the outside the hotel looked not the highlight, but the view from the upper floors to Kuching and Kuching river stunning. We stayed in an executive suite in the 12. Floor; it ... was huge, modern and well furnished and-as I said-this fascinating view.
Hilton Kuching has a mixed guest structure (many Asians, some Australians, a few Europeans).
The staff is very friendly and helpful, unfortunately, was in the club lounge has a private bathroom and tv too little staff present, so that there were small bottlenecks came. If one has a private bathroom and tv seemed a little later on, the snacks were also already times scarce, it was not enough.
The maid service was good.
The only significant negative point is the swimming pool: it is quite neglected, the umbrellas, the the local climate are essential, are scarce, are neglected, changing rooms and sometimes not clean enough. A second pool is unused. Here the hotel must take urgent action.
The hotel is currently being renovated, the work one hears however only occasionally something.
In spite of the above flaws, is this hotel because of its location very good. read more

The room are old and worn, the renovations are
In full swing. The renovated room in the zehten and 11. Floor.
Also the lobby and the rest of the hotel need a facelift.
The style of the seventies years...
A plus get the cafe in the lobby. The coffee, as well as the cakes were tasty!
The breakfast buffet is a bit more on european visitors to be adjusted.
The location of the hotel is great, without question.

To start our trip Borno had decided we us for the Hilton Kuching and were sad after two nights to have to go again. The hotel offers everything what one needs, the location is fantastic and we had also a gigantic view of the waterfront!
We were with the staff, breakfast, cleanliness, spa etc. Very satisfied. The only 'mini drawback' the window in the room is only made them anymore, but if you get a balcony to the road would be seen ☺
On the opposite side of the street is just coffee shop (serves beer, cigarettes and soft drinks ... cheaper than in the seven Elevem -tip for smokers era cigarettes, the box converted ~,2 euro) and 'cheap food' in a passage, the street on the right is the seven eleven, left down and Kuch' waterfront feet a to.
Kuching is a great city and two nights/two days are just not for this city from. We will definitely come back and is definitely the appropriate destination again a Hilton! read more

As a starting point for the visit of Sarawak and its surroundings is this hotel was perfectly suitable. Large demands you should not ask but it is a normal city hotel. It has of a Hilton hotel to the name on anything.
The room were OK and clean. The not smoking room are located on the upper floors. It was daily two bottles of water were free. The view from the window was fantastic. One looked directly on the waterfront, where the evening life.
The breakfast room was well arranged and filled with international travelers. It was relatively loud and ... something close. The food choice was for us something is disappointing and could compete with many other Asian buffet not.
It was of course also decorated with several restaurants and a very nice cafe with a great selection of cakes. The further you could use two PCs in the lobby free of charge.
A pool was available, which approached us but not the overall condition. The water was but very clean. Beach chairs were sufficiently available all empty. This was not really bad, as we the hotel only to stay use. Finally, it was before the door ' endless to discover.
Conclusion: as a base in a great location, cheap, right in the middle of the life (waterfront.). read more

As many have already written, the hotel is centrally located and right on the waterfront. The room were appropriately furnished and also the size was fully in order the bathroom was not very big, but was also OK the room could use just a new coat of paint. Internet is free of charge. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy.
Breakfast buffet was good, it should find something to actually any food. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Restaurants, supermarkets are within walking distance.
Upper deck to the corner house in the park, you can eat very well. It is a ... huge choice of fish and vegetables and everything is freshly prepared.
The hotel is suitable to excursions from there to start and to round off the evening in a of the many good restaurants. read more

We were glad, that we had booked an executive room. This is located on the top floor, has a great view on the river and the decor has us fallen.
The check-in was very, very slow and took about 30 minutes, whereas all were very friendly.
The restaurant was to certain times crowded at breakfast, the staff was still tried hard.

The hotel is suitable for excursions in the rainforest, for example, Baku national park, IBAN Longhouse or orang Utah station. You should, however, make a few drawbacks, the hotel is really old. It is also not comfortable, only functional. The carpet in our room was very dirty with huge stains, wallpaper dated. The breakfast adequate, but not anything special, little variety and little fruit. There were for five days, had 3 days is enough. Trips can be booked in the excursion office in the hotel. Prices were OK and well organized. Kuching itself is not so much, small Provinzstädtchen. The ... Sunday market is very to recommend however, there is much to see it. read more

This hotel is a great base for a borneo-holiday. We have it to start our Sarawak/Sabah-holiday for the first night. It has a great location, the waterfront, department store, restaurant, the museum-everything is very well to walking distance. On the waterfront is it many small restaurants, directly on the away to or from the hotel to the waterfront is a very nice restaurant on a meadow or a formal 'garden', which is frequented by tourists, we can highly recommend, the food was very tasty there. The hotel itself is very clean, the breakfast buffet was very nicely arranged and varied. ... The room are clean and the size was adequate with great view on the road and the waterfront. Kettle with tea, coffee and water, as well as a safe in the room available. Damai beach resort on the sea is the from about 40 Hilton Kuching-minute drive away. Definitely recommended is a trip to the orang-utan semenggoh nature reserve, which is 20 minutes drive away in!
About five minutes to foot is a large department store located with supermarket. read more

Great hotel in the middle Kuch'. Were very satisfied with all here. Before all the Frühdtücksbüfett a true splendor. A mix of continental breakfast and specialties from different Asian countries. Just great. In the immediate vicinity you will find restaurants and shopping. To be recommended: on the roof of a parking garage close by you can eat like the locals. There is always what to do, you will find a place and is still but very nice. We have treated us to a suite on the top floor three, with view on the Sarawak river. The exterior wall was completely of glass, from the floor to the ceiling. It was fantastic to wake up and directly on the river to see. The room was very large and clean and functional. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the selection was very large.
The pool is great, large and clean and palm trees everywhere.
I can recommend the Hilton in Kuching fully, also for people, the usually not able to afford the Hilton or don't want to. In Kuching ... is the very cheap price, the value for money unbeatable. read more

We have spent only a night at the Hilton Kuching although, as the next morning we in the Hilton Batang AI long house resort are driven, but overall we were very satisfied. Especially the view on the river, the extensive breakfast buffet, the large pool and the sunset have us believe. Also the service at the reception is commendable-we had a problem with the shuttle to the Batang AI, the but was quickly resolved. Kuching is a nice, but small town. We believe that a maximum of two days enough, to know the city. read more
