    The room was large and clean. We had in advance in writing a quiet room asked. The we got then also, directly at the lobby bar, therefore we could at any time every geschen in the lobby bar take karaoke etc. Our participation in the action was on the gesamdauer of the programme laid out! The hotel ambar distinguishes itself through its quiet and nice location. It is only a few meters to the beach, the complex works very quiet and well maintained. The hotel facilities are very clean. The offer to the meals is, if one alone general buffet-style restaurant which includes, the (dominican) standard varied and tasty. The specialty restaurants are on its quality partly disappointing. The hotel has a main building with a very nice terrace. The hotel is mostly by americans and canadians booked, which on days partly problems with the unlimited alcoholic offer. In the evening one has however no ... alkoholiserten seen other guests. The age of the guests ranged whrend our presence between 25 and 70 years. read more

Unfortunately this hotel not for a dream vacation suitably. The great hygiene. Noise without limits, rooms in barnähe, doors were day and night slammed. Great facilities - however in any case the ambar choose (and not the 'normal' bahia principe). Great all inclusive-service, completely very neat and efficient eating and drinking - if you stay here to complain about must really consider, the 5-star in Karibik not comparable with Germany are. We were a week in the ambar and the time passed way too quickly. Gladly we would have stayed longer. The rooms are big, modern, clean and peaceful. A hair dryer, toiletries, coffee maker and minibar is everything available. The hotel is nice green and quiet. Only the helicopter flights over the beach are temporarily somewhat annoying. However, these almost everywhere in Punta Cana. The beach section was great. There was even enough shady spots in the high season, without liegenreservierkrieg - very pleasant ☺ particularly positive was noticeable to us, that one at the beach bar soft drinks from ... vending machines could, without directly at the bar on. The loungers were also okay. Even if i have already in better location have. The beach is wonderful. You can hour to the left or the right. Direction Riu and Iberostar a few stands, where you can buy souvenirs (about 1 hour walk). From the rooms it is in the cut no more than 5 minutes to the beach. The clientele of the guests was very pleasant, very international and all age groups were represented. Quite rare drunk guests noticed. On our arrival there was a great theme nights at the beach with campfire and very tasty cocktails. The dishes in the main restaurant were varied and good. Only the lunch buffet in the restaurant at the beach in our experience of the quality not completely convinced. It is open (so only with a roof) and strong heat suspended. Some dishes were then nevertheless too long on the flame or too few chilled. Particularly positive we noticed, that our room requests had considered and us on a question by e-mail case quickly responded - great service. Tip is gladly seen. However, we didn't notice, that the service wsj, if one none had. This the tip - US Dollar in small notes carry forward. We had unfortunately only pesos locally in/out privileges and this could only be difficult to change. In summary, i can say, that we really enjoyed our stay and we certainly again into the ambar will drive. read more

A beautiful part of the whole bahia-complex. Super well-kept gardens, always friendly staff, 2 times per day service and guaranteed wohlfühleffekt, from the 1st day. We were 2 years ago BP bavaro, must say, that the ambar area was a lot nicer. The new manager is great, goes on the people and has great ideas, with the holidaymakers the stay a 100% -few experience. Murfi at the lobby bar is fantastic, fun and fast. One notices, he loved his work. As well as yohannia at the beach bar. But also all other service forces reflect the typical dominican joie de ... vivre again. It was our 10. vacation in the dr, not the last moment from all the positive details. The best.     We have when booking give notice, that we had a corner room on the 3. floor be (recommendation from previous reviews), and to have it also got. This rooms are larger, as well as the balcony. We had in the 70. complex a room. The proved for us as a winner : peaceful location, short paths to the pool, bar and restaurants. There was small faults (fixtures amongst others), but the fell really did not matter, as the overall impression overall was very good. We could by the way 'Deutsche Welle' look.

We still always gladly, the ' strandsäuberern', horticulturists, cleaning staff... Something given. The only tiny complaint: the filling up of the refrigerator was not always completely.

    Beautiful pool area with jacuzzi, pool bar.     By new highway is circa 30 minutes already in the hotel. We booked through jajhn -travel select a private transfer there and back from the airport can be enjoyed.     The hotel is massive and was located directly on the beautiful, fine sandy beach. For swimming and relax-perfect! Reserve chairs in hotel absolutely necessary! Part were after 8 o'clock in the morning already all the beach chairs occupied! Afterwards one must be a 'boy' and tell him, That you are need, then will help you out, that is However already times 30 minutes, in which one then herumsteht. Five star - no way!     There are numerous restaurants, we used the main restaurant 'palmyra' and the specialty restaurants ' Don Pablo', 'El Olivo' and the 'portofino'. Each specialty restaurant was in its own way very well, we have often the possibility use, to eat there. The lobsters in the ' Don Pablo' were, like last year also, a completed enjoyment. The breakfast in the ' palmyra ' was very good, lunch ranged from very well and good, with the dinner could one very satisfied his. Thursday is' gala evening 'in the' palmyra ', then there are lobsters, unfortunately the difficulties by the cook (in the first participation) completely butchered were, by only half was spent.     The service was extremely dedicated, from the front desk through the 'gepäckboys' and the transport from the' bavaro 'to' ambar ', furthermore by the caring front desk for the arriving guests of our travel agent in extra premises. The cleaning of the rooms Was excellent, in comparison to our stay 2011 at the 'esmeralda' were worlds in between. Complete terms the service a class for itself, there was nothing to complain about.     The 'ambar' is located right on the lively beach, from our room up to this one ran approximately 90 meters. The transfer time amounted to about 40. minutes in the distance there were a few shopping possibilities, because of the strict controls on baggage we because of any obesity't buy anything. Initially you should know, that the ambar a part of the bahia complex is. It is only for adults without children thought. Another part is the bahia bavaro, esmeralda and premier. As ambar-guest you have access to all parts. The ambar part is near to the beach and simply beautiful. It is a all inclusive hotel. And the designation is completely justified - more on that later. We felt here very well. Already the lobby looks very inviting. In comparison to bavaro we had not the feeling the everything loud and totally overcrowded. In the hotel was also always very ... clean.     Sensational. In the ambar there is the main restaurant - buffet, the Don Pablo gourmet restaurant ( definitely use) and an Italian restaurant. Everything is simply right. In the buffet restaurant you will find a wide variety of various things. Every day another issue. Especially good the gourmet -thursday pleased. Here very large value placed upon hygiene. The food was in our opinion always fresh and was constantly refilled. Also the quality was for a buffet the best we have ever had. Even if many say it is being repeated often... There was always pasta (also freshly prepared - you could watch), different variations of potatoes, fries and rice. Bread etc. What else could you want? Meat in all variations-beef, pork, chicken etc. It doesn't go more. It was really great. Throughout the bahia area there were also different theme restaurants as the ambar guests all share could. We were outside of the ambar in the mexican and Italian Bella Italia. The food went sunday No comparison to the Don Pablo. Drinks you could order what you want. Cocktails, beer everything was included only a few special drinks were not all inclusive ( champagne and put it). However the cocktails respectively the drinks menu was great. Branded spirits and more sports.

    Top! The best that we have to see and experience. All are really friendly even without tip. In addition a couple more words-many write again and again the guests preferentially were, because these many tip given.     Here is the review difficult. We booked intentionally a hotel searched where you don't constantly asked they want darts, gym or so participate. Here is very decent by the pool against noon a little offered - that was it. At the beach yoga. Everything completely quiet - is found it nice. The pool is terrific. You can swim well-without being disturbed. Against evenings have americans but the pool bar with rising alcohol level loudly for itself stressed. But thus one comes also very good clear, because it in our opinion yet very good quality had. To the comparison you should other all inclusive hotels see or the accompanying bavaro-there was from early until late mood announced. The deduct it nevertheless. If I have been pool gym offered, it should be good and no faschingsveranstaltung. Here one could a little bit better program offer.

    It is only a few meters to the beach. The beach is fine sandy and simply beautiful. The ambar also has a private beach section the always and permanently is kept clean. Also here service großgechrieben and drinks even brought to your beach chair. What is being achieved here is simply superb - much praise goes to Bianca. Also very nice was, that the loungers not closely on closely zusammenstanden as you know it. Here you get the feeling to be. Between meters high palm trees. Really great. In bavaro would this not be the case. Here is all within walking distance. Short walk to the lobby, restaurant etc. To the environment one cannot say much. If you good on foot are outside still shops. But also here are in the hotel in our opinion enough possibilities available. Whether in the hotel lobby or hotel's own pueblo prinicpe you will find as well as everything. From the airport it is about 30 minutes away to the hotel. Also beach vendors go here, of course, around. But not pushy at all and speak not me personally. Short no is enough. Excursions will of course also offered-santo domingo for example by bus 3,5 hours or swimming with dolphins and various partyausflüge which we have not participated. A star departure we give but nevertheless outside as it was just nothing without bus/ taxi to explore was. However in the hotel itself it was in 14 days never boring. It is in the total with bavaro, esmeralda very spacious and there were again and again what new to see.

    Very nice, funny service-staff. All of the staff could speak English. If you German wanted to talk, is in this hotel not really. On our last two days of vacation was a hurricane on the sea. We have only received, since the waves a bit bigger and the seaweeds at the beach soaked have been. Staff have consistently for a clean beach catered for.

The hotel is a bit outdated. We were 4 years ago already once there. Noticeable makes this especially the wear and tear of the bathroom fixtures, as well as the air condition. This led regularly for complaint. Here pushed the difficulty with the language, since our spanish skills just very poor and we were with our good English knowledge not really few knowledges in spanish or we had the bad luck always the bottles to meeting. The lack of knowledge of the staff directed therefore also again and again to misunderstandings. The possibilities for recreation ( more: excursions) is very ... strong limited. The excursions are very expensive and do not offer not really quality. The same also applies to the shops within the hotel - example: nivea sunscreen 200 millilitre American Dollar 34.00 or palmolive shower bath American Dollar 21.00. For the food was also little variety offered. Every day here there were with a few downsides always the same. The restaurants itself however were of service was top. The same also applies to the cleanliness. We have the whole as a beach holiday and so made the best of it. If we do this with this aspect see, this was all in all a very nice holiday. This was our first trip in Karibik. Our expectation were all met. The hotel ambar is a place of rest and relaxation. Golf course a few metres at the hotel. Excursions: speedboat, sailing, diving, hellikopter... Bus excursions perfectly organized. Thanks to the TUI travel agency suburb the at any time with the council and on the spot. The hotel is with the best which we up to now booked, can only be recommended. read more

Gran Bahia Principe Ambar we can quiet conscience recommend. Hotel without children. 'everything they Didn't Consist'. Lots of restaurants ( prior to to reserve). Generous hotel complex with dream gardens. We are definitely coming again. read more

The mainly American guests clean a kind of Ballermann about the hotel to have found. By the pool is extensive and celebrated unfortunately drag at night groups of drunk guests loud screaming by the complex. The celebrating with shuttle busses by the complex and by the way, with small swing and small 'race' the driver animated. The can also time the whole night take. The whole night show deliveries to the villas. With with small transporters almost into the villa and with current motor a and unloaded. This takes place the whole night, are only fresh white towels, with the ... next tour about 45 minutes later dirty white towels picked up, afterwards are clean beach towels brought, then the bed linen, then toilet paper. The drivers always make a great trip to the complex and supply the individual villas with a charge. Since we our room on one of the two Villeneingängen had means the circa 10 deliveries in the space of 30 to 45 minutes the night. Each villa has two entrances, a corridor through the villa connect.
