All in all a successful vacation at the beach. The beds respectively mattresses in the hotel were however already nearly an impertinence. You could every individual wire feel-> very uncomfortable and schlafarme nights. They were but the pool chairs on the beach very pleasant to sleep catch up. To several negative reviews here I was really curious, what to expect.
Yes, the hotel is not new. It is' in the best years '. I comparison it once with a woman in the best years. A woman in the best years is mature, no small child more. The flaws are well-known, it is consistently. It is not too bad, because the trees and palms have already matured and depending upon gusto more or less dense shade donate, the lawn is tough and not fenced off. Walk to or is desirable.
It has style, as this hotel: no annoying all ... inclusive-wristband. In the restaurants à la carte, as well as in the main restaurant are right tables and chairs, no plastic ones from the building supplies store. The tables are with white leinendecken covered and after each meal/after every guest newly set. For dinner men please with long pants, women according to attraction.
It has culture: beatles revival band, three tenors, folklore evening with life -music and dancing group likewise wietanz the vampires were in the hotel-open-air theaters listed. And the 1 week, and it is only a part of the repertoire!
Yes, in the best old you here and there also a few matzer, but just weggeschminkt -and honestly, we not all?

The hotel is simple top. The staff are well hard working and kind, knows after only few days the origin, the preferences etc. The individual guests. The gastronomy is hard to beat, there is something there for any taste. If the buffet nothing found, it is your own fault. The entertainment team the 'boss' Marcus is always in a good mood, motivated the guests many different activities ( aqua Gym, Volleyball, pool- games for children and many more) and is never intrusive. Also the evening entertainment program is very diverse, entertaining and for the international guests on different languages listed. ... Itself for the return trip the entertainer came to the hotel Foyer and with each guest a short discussion and polite of all approved. Really exemplary! The pool is always clean, is cleaned each evening. Enough chairs and umbrellas are at the pool as well as at the beach very sufficiently available. At the beach are bathing shoe essential! The can but also in the kiosk opposite of the hotel for 5 €retrospectively be bought. It is only a very small section for the offered services. We will definitely return!-) read more

The staff were super friendly and very helpful.
Very good knowledge of German at the front desk. Entertainment program enough for us. Especially Patrick understood it, all in a good mood to hold.-)
Towels, chairs and sunscreens at the beach inclusive, Pebble beach. Bathing shoe are recommendable.
Shopping arcade directly next to the hotel. Excursions sufficiently available.
We felt for one day a car rented and the island on own fist explored and a day by bus to Rodes City went.
Bus stop in right in front of the hotel. Every 20 minutes ... goes a bus to Rodes City (2,20 Euro per drive)
Altogether a relaxing vacation. If you don't exclusive have expectations, the hotel is really recommendable. read more

All in all it was a really great vacation! We had end of September 10 days pure sun and at least 29 °C. The service and the cleanliness are spectacular. The sunset for the food on the terrace also. That the hotel outwardly and what the rooms subject is a little outdated, should now be known, even if this sometimes clearly exaggerated is presented! The star hotel has us at check in after the spray as disappointment showed. I have the room time with the image on the homepage the grecotels compared. Not a good idea. After the first disappointment turned for us however, that after mediterranean standard around a really good hotel (with drawbacks) it is.
The double rooms are big enough. The mattresses not worn, but wonderful tight. The cleanliness is nothing to complain. The (tubular) tv, we didn't use it, has a screen about iPad-size.
The corridors are long and dark, smell and were very clean. Altogether one regards the rooms ... the age. Much is run-down. Many corners bumped and so on nevertheless, everything was clean. Renovation is available.
It is an all-inclusive hotel, without wristbands. All-inclusive was, what food and drinks concerned without restrictions. Only 5 alcoholic beverages were liable to pay the costs. All-inclusive -alcoholic beverages were not mere no name products. Branded products often came to use (for example mataxa 5 *, cutty shark, and much more
The guest mixture was all right many germans, lots of russians (but not unpleasant noticed), dutch, danish, english, italian. read more

The hotel is a great good hotel. Very clean the complex beautiful and well maintained the food rich and something for everyone to find. The staff was very friendly and decent. Everyone is hard-working itself for the guests to take care of it. The rooms clean and tidy.
Annoying the guests, the morning to eight hours the loungers reserve and around seventeen hours only show. , but they are the vacationers'

Hotel is outdated and the rooms belong urgently renovated! The service is however great and also about the cleaning the room is nothing to complain about. Great child-friendly staff. Our vacation on the Island of Rhodes is now a week and with a little hindsight we are still very disappointed on the state of the hotel and the promised in the catalog.
The hotel Rhodos royal in Faliraki is not the description of the catalog' country category 4 stars ', the standard of Greecotel chain.
Pool area
In the catalog, with three pools advertised. Using beigelegter photos you may see, that it really only two pool is, which one with a lattice paths is. This separated area is the third pool represent. For us is the however with a ... depth of about 30 centimeters no pool, but a paddling pool. And also the fact that this part with a grid of a larger pool is separated and as independent pool ' we feel as a cheek.
The travel guide locally could a smile in our question after the third pool hardly hide. This problem was known.
We are very disappointed there, that in the immediate TUI such blatantly wrong information. We have extra a reliable and more expensive tour operator chosen, so that we got exactly that what we had booked. It is a pity that the TUI this expectations not fulfilled could.
Loungers/ sun screens
At the hotel there is free chairs and sunscreens available. Perhaps but should be mentioned, that is not even for the number of rooms of the hotel are sufficient. Gets a free couch one already at 9:30 hours not more, neither by the pool even on the beach. Besides mentioned these are cheap -loungers all so distorted, holes and unstable, that you have to be afraid, that every moment will collapse.
Beach
Utter disappointment! Sand/Pebble beach was promised in the catalog, which on demand with 'sandy beach with isolated Kieselsteinen' defined. What we found was however a Pebble beach with occasional grains of sand. Both in the gravel-sand mixture, as well as in the water were partly top Rocks. Barefoot walk and bathe impossible!
Room
We have a room with sea view ordered and got. Unfortunately quite at the end of the hotel complex. Here is also the ventilation system.
The noise, the 8 big fans attached prime cause was with the balcony door open simply unbearable. So we had no other desired, as the full vacation with the window closed and current air conditioning to spend. The air conditioning was unfortunately also everything but silent, but from the two sources was the lesser evil. Through the rigid shelter of the airconditioning ( high, low, check-out), it was in the room either too cold or too warm.
Relaxation none.
To the point, that the décor in the rooms is not a 4 star decor, we want not at all dwell.
Cleanliness
Generally we were with the cleanliness the room for the most part satisfied. The maids came every day and did the coerced. Pebbles, the second day of our stay on the floor were falling off, were still as we after 7 days left. Vacuuming is in this hotel probably not for Standardreinigung, washbasin cleaning also not.
Restaurant/ dishes
The constant wrong use of spices was noticeable to us very negatively. So were fried potatoes generally too salty, but salty slightly under-drove is. Spaghetti were generally without salt and almost up to indecipherability cooked. Penne and Rigatoni were from the salt acceptable, however almost raw. Whether the long loungers or just cook comes, we couldn't judge. Furthermore swam unfortunately most food in oil and fat. Even white, cooked rice formed a oil spill on the plate. Of pizza and sauces to be silent completely.
Negatively noticeable was also, that not at any time all meals available were. There was for breakfast Crepe, however from 7:15 A. M., times only starting from half 9. if you during dinner got there late, got only a small selection at dessert and so on
The descriptions of the food was partly not available, partly adventurous. We gladly times new courts out, but under' Greek court' we could us little imagine and the mush in the pot was not identifiable. 'Baby soup' we wanted to also not try. We are very happy, that we have no allergies or intolerances have, because then we would really a problem had. Salad we have generally missed. Sometime you can't grated carrots with tomatoes see more and wishes nevertheless a few Leaves green.
Drinks/ ice
The vending machines (cold and warm beverages) to self-service were dirty, sticky, neglected. The water tasted chlorine and there were not always all machines available. The Automat at the bar for example was only from 5:00 P. M. enabled, so you to the beach bar to run had, if thirst got. The Automat by the pool was already at our arrival broken and when we left.
The Eistruhen are in the same bad condition as the vending machines. At the latest after the 3. child, with the hands in the ice in the Selbsbedienungstruhe roils, this was not only in, but also and before the chest spread. You should ask, whether the form of the self-service so makes sense.
Midnight snack
The midnight snack was from the leftovers of the dinner, in the best case pure olives and hard bread ( from the breakfast?).
Hotel general
Generally the hotel is very in need of renovation and needs a thorough cleaning. The Sofas in the lobby were disgusted us so, that we didn't use. The swimming pool water was never clear, so we don't the pool didn't use it.

As we came to know by accident, is the Grecotel Rhodos royal one of the oldest hotels the island. You can see that on the' unloving' kastenbauweise, however I think the hotel complex in the garden lovingly decorated. That few decades in tin has built is nothing new - and demolished you need the hotel therefore not right. It is a large hotel, the however in some areas urgently revnoviert -I mean here in the special the rooms in the neighboring buildings ( not main building, not bungalows). Nevertheless I would spend another vacation in this hotel!
We hattren, as ... mentioned above booked all inclusive and were content thereby. The variety of could be more spacious. Before 2 years we were times in a greocotel on Kreta and in the comparison in addition the hotel has on Kreta culinary better and more variety offered. However is the price at the same time also 1 euro.000, -higher.

We were as a family with our two boys (5 and 7 ) in August 2012 for 10 days in the Grecotel Rhodos royal.
Introdution: if you have positive setting a dreamlike families-beach vacation in Greece spend, is in the right place in this hotel.
In the season 2012 was a really nice animation force in the hotel. Not too obtrusive, but with great events and as mentioned super nice ( particularly the animation boss Marcus, the Fítness -trainer Sophia and of course the great friendly Caregivers).
The all inclusive-food was all together also very good. In comparison to our ... experiences in Turkish hotels were the cocktails with ' original ingredients' prepared. The selection of fish was however not quite as plentiful, as the Grecotel 'Daphnila Bay' on Corfu ( summer vacation 2010). The taste was the most of really OK.
Even our in this regard really easy boys had almost every evening something else on their plates ( not always only fries:-) ).
One evening had the hotel management for a small obolus (18 €per person) a 'symposium' organized. On the hotel-private jetty, the approximately 30 meters into the sea stands, was an evening dinner organized: great food, wonderful mood, romanesque lighting, simply unforgettable! For the kids parallel a beach barbecue with care organized-> definitely take, in case offered again!
Another tip: on the offered excursions the travel entrepreneurs in the hotel definitely do. Better at the beach the glass boat tour for 10 €per person and in Anthony Quinn bay with fish snorkeling, the we had on several days made and the boys were every time really amazed!
Only the sanitary Einreichtungen in the circa 10-year old baths may slow a revamp, but it was all great clean and for a beach vacation completely fine. Finally we spend in our seaside holidays never longer than 2a 3 hours per day on our room. The rooms themselves are top!
Of course as always: if negative searches, will also find. The evening buffet is in the hotels of course always every evening quite identical. The variety of the food, but with a little imagination every evening another menu assemble.
In short: who a nice beach vacation in Greece to make would like and not specifically to negative points searches, which is in the Grecotel Rhodos royal absolutely right and is a wonderful time spend. Reasonable value for money ( yet). We'll come with our boys definitely again! read more

As already so often written the rooms are not on the newest conditions. However a lot of emphasis is placed on cleanliness.
We had a family room with steps to the gallery, where the children slept in. These stairs are very steep, for younger children not very suitable. There was plenty of space around stuff and suitcase well put. The bathroom was big enough, also here you have space enough for your utensils.
A small terrace with a table and two chairs and a tumble dryer are available.
The garden is beautiful to look at, very well maintained. You walk ... through this garden direct to the beach.
Here are chairs and sunscreens sufficiently available.
It is a pebble beach, bathing shoe are a plus.
Also here everything is clean. The water is lovely.
There are two pools, one for swimmer and a for non-swimmer, where water games and gymnastics take place. A small part is separated again for the very small.
There are two slides, wherever a lifequard for safety provides.
The pools are very clean, could however modernised.
The hotel is a all inclusive-hotel and leaves nothing to the imagination!
The food is absolutely great! One was served in the lush buffet, there is something for every taste.
There is the possibility evenings at the beach bar in the al-a-carte -restaurant to eat, definitely try, that is very recommendable. Otherwise there was an asian -restaurant, which we did not visit however.
The whole day there are cold drinks, coffee, Cappuccino, ice, pastry, fruit, popcorn and so on
The nationalities were during our travels well mixed.
