    We had a 40 square meter large junior suite. Wide queen size beds 120 times 200 centimeter, well furnished, air conditioning system, two flat screen tv, minibar, telephone, large balcony with table, two chairs and two chairs with cushions.     There are gymnastics, stretching, yoga and a. m offered daily and trained animators organized. The beaches near the hotel are fantastic, unfortunately by the suppliers of the beach chairs and umbrellas totally excessive charges required. In hotelarenal were enough pool chairs and umbrellas in good condition and free of charge available. The large outdoor pool was in clean condition, but not heated and with 17 °c much too cold. The existing small indoor pool is mainly of parents with young children used and is for sporty swimming unsuitable.

Good hotel, suitable for relaxing holiday. The location at the end of the place is not for everyone, but we didn't bother us - on the contrary. The rooms are quite badly soundproofed, in lively neighbors disturb. The dining room is particularly for dinner crowded, partly you had to front of the entrance waiting. Each, immediately a room in the booked category is am glad to say. The hotel was clear overbooked. At the reception there were newly arrived guests line, because their allocated rooms not agree. Our 3. room was no vip room in a preferred location, how we had booked it. %singlelinebreak % A small sandy bay with rock was located directly at the hotel. You want to long Sotavento-beach must you several bays with rocks cross, which was not safe and about 20 minutes. %singlelinebreak % Our conclusion: never again! read hotel review

Many guests complained about the volume in the hotel and thin walls. Recommendation: book a room in the first beach row! If you want to be on the balcony of the hotel's breakfast want, the from 9:50 a. m. without lines and shoving - maximum good view on the sea! We enjoyed our stay good. If you at the beginning of the dinner were not creates, one of the few non-reserved tables to get, had bad luck (wait about 1.5 hours). The volume during the meal does not quiet conversation. The general hustle and bustle in the dining room was in addition unpleasant. The reason: clearly too few staff, the waiters must almost run, for their work. Despite intensive efforts from the staff is this situation for a 4 star hotel not acceptable. The rooms are very nice, if one booked the version also get. Caution: the hotel was overbooked. We are already since 9 years 1-2 per year to guest in the Playa Esmeralda and the development of the hotels along. The hotel is in the last year by large renovation and replacement, in particular the new lobby bar is quite has become great, a major step in the right direction. The service is in all the bars and also in the restaurant was very good. The quality of the drinks has improved significantly. Unfortunately, the quality of the food in comparison to the previous years very deteriorated. Tasted should lead to an improvement of arrival, then the hotel ... would be really perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday in nice atmosphere. The restaurant has a great terrace. We were now the 3 times in the esmeralda, 2001,2012 and now in january for 12 days. The hotel was fully booked. For us the location was fantastically beautiful. Very quiet location. The redesigned lobby with bar was very tastefully decorated and very well adopted by the guests. We could every morning on the terrace, with a great view of the atlantic ocean. For this season, we had good weather, mostly sonig, but of course on fuerte with usually enough wind. One must like it. %singlelinebreak % Our room lay strategically very well, but the balcony is usually not ... to use it, because only in the morning there sun comes. Till now we've always had rooms on the 1st row with terrace, which was earlier better. newly renovated, the room was not. We were for the first time in a h 10 hotel and absolutely loved it! The staff in every area were very friendly and speedy. The rooms at the beachfront side very spacious and tastefully decorated. We had a bit of ways in purchase take around to the pool, restaurant or bar but it was worth it! The room was absolutely in a quiet location. In the town Costa Calma to arrive was a walk from nearly 25 minutes necessary. Along the beach but a nice way, since we constantly the zutraulichen chipmunk and admire feed could. Beautiful clean area with sun loungers, pool, sauna, indoor swimming pool and fitness room (everything which one for the holiday). The pools were very cold. But we are not because of the pools, but because of the sea in the holiday. Very friendly well-trained staff! The food was okay, the buffet was always well stocked. read hotel review

The hotel is located on the kilometer long beach. Food very good and varied. The quality of the food and the selection were better than at the end of 2011 (on our last visit). Wlan unfortunately only in the lobby area. Otherwise, the service was very friendly and service oriented. Costa Calma is beautiful and the shopping possibilities were available nearby (we had a rental car). If we go on this island, we will definitely stay in this hotel. read hotel review

We booked the hotel as a very pleasant and quiet felt, a nice place, in order to rest a few days, long walks on the most beautiful beach section of the island. The location of the hotel is rather isolated at end of Costa Calma, but exactly at the beginning of the nauterschutzgebietes and without action, right for us. Who shopping, bars and convenient transport needs, is rather go wrong here. Particularly nice we found the terrace the frühstcken outdoors with gigantic view of the sea, the wüstenartige dünenlandscchaft and the beautiful beach of Sotavento. The food was delicious, always ... rich variety and especially always refilled and attentive organized. The dining room is quite large, but if you a place on the edge of selecting, is also relatively calmly enjoy the food. The rooms are quite large and in good taste and appropriately decorated. Everything in the hotel is very clean and well maintained. We felt very comfortable. The only things, the time, were the very uncomfortable hard mattresses and the fact, that you are in a rather upscale house for the bathrobes, and the safe must be paid, it shouldn't be. The service in this hotel no trace. It was right at the beginning of the bellman. At the reception there was no information about the hotel. It meant only: since right is the elevator!. As rooms they refused to give us a double room with a tiny window for natural light to turn, although we booked a juniorsuite with sea view had. Also the 3. room was not suite (no more). The restaurant, is its 4 stars are not worth. Absolute cafeteria atmosphere, through movement on the stone floor no good background noise. Alternative the outdoor terrace, which was really ... nice, unfortunately this was on new year's eve closed, although nice weather was. Why? Because a rule from the director is. We have been coming here for many years to the esmeralda and had also once again a quiet room. The cleanliness was always perfect and a big praise to the cleaning staff. Reception and the dining room were very nicely renovated, free wireless internet in the lobby! The guest structure is changing from november, in summer more families with children, in winter rather german retirees, therefore somewhat quieter. read hotel review

    The rooms are very large, clean and well furnished. After 10 years is of course not everything brand new, but it is constantly being renovated and beautified. There were always gardeners at work, it was swept, cleaned, painted etc. There is tv with international channels, hair dryer in the bathroom, bidet, nontransparent curtain at the window, large furnished terrace.     The pool is very clean and you can wonderfully in a quiet atmosphere swim laps, beach chairs were always free and plentiful, the hotel gave much attention to. The beach is the best, the we know, very long and fine sand. In november you can parasailing quiet walks on the beach and the sea is also still warm...

    The location is perfect, the most beautiful beach of the island,Playa barrack, is within walking distance, as well as for shopping on the Costa Calma. You need here actually don't have a rental car. One hears neither disturbing traffic or planes or loud discos, the hotel is suitable for those seeking peace.

Service and food were very good. We stayed on the Canary Islands, and we were already often there, rarely friendlier and zuvorkommenderes staff. We were pleased. Food and quality were very good, there were also regional dishes, all cocktails were included in the all-inclusive included. The individually prepared pizzas and pasta dishes were great. The used dishes were quickly cleared away. A tip: book all-inclusive and there were no wishes left unfulfilled. On the extensive hotel area with many trails and lifts we had on the first way to our front beach room almost got lost, there would be a ... bit more service very helpful. The directions at the front desk was not very helpful. Our room was clean, big enough and fully-equipped. The bathroom could have been in the near future, but a renovation. The lobby is renovated bright, colourfully and very welcoming. The cantilever terrace has a grandiose sea view and white chairs - a real eye opener. The beach was, as one it on fuerte wishes. Sand and endless. Beach chairs and umbrellas at the beach, of course for a fee (12 Euro), were always sufficiently available. You must at the nackedeis, especially older generation, not disturb: live and let live. We have found, that the water in the sea was pleasant, than the pool. The pool area including bar was very nice, and it has a great view of the sea. Which us however negatively noticed: our older compatriots had in the morning at 7:30 a. m. nothing better to do, than the closed patio door to is possible, for a seat to get. That was totally pointless and almost ridiculous, because it enough places gave. We wish to emphasise, however, that the mix of guests and the atmosphere was very good. We felt very comfortable and the h 10 Playa Esmeralda absolutely recommend and will be there for our next fuerte holiday definitely visit again. read hotel review

The hotel itself is not bad, but the service is very unfriendly. Only two ladies in the restaurant and young man were very polite and attentive otherwise one has rather the feeling which one for its presence and that you want to order have to apologise. Started already all at the check in. You will be fallen processed and a smile does not give it. There you are looking forward to the holiday and then you will just so 'welcomes'. You are only the formal and the money is important and, of course, also cost everything as safe or towels ... extra. The room was okay, big enough and nice but the mattresses were as hard as a rock! As you can sit right on the floor to sleep. Unfortunately we had during the entire stay small ants in our room. Not so beautifully! The pool is nice to look at, but ass cold as it is not heated! For november not cheap which i very unfortunate finds. We had ' only half board (which was completely enough), but i would not recommend it before 19,30 to eat out. From 18,00 was for a good rate literally a battle at the buffet almost as if the next day nothing more to eat would give. Frightening, but if you came later it can be almost cozy food. However, without consideration for the guests from 20,45 everything from the terrace cleared away. After-dinner cozy sit there is not! read hotel review

    The room was nice and big and the balcony was big enough. However, the 'double bed' from two together pushed single beds... Not at all good and the mattresses were hard as stone! With each night is a the back more and more painful. From relaxing good sleep is not to speak.

    Service is up to a few exceptions an absolute disaster! In the afternoon on the bar terrace to sit to get something to drink to order... We would still sit outside and wait for the waiter. There was nothing going on and there is no one to ask, whether one something to drink would like, no one must enter and order! The front desk staff is except for the young man not very friendly.

    The fitness room is rather ridiculous, but at least have a (without air conditioning!) The actually beautiful pool was only to look at because the water was very cold. The we were very upset! The beach section in front of the hotel should of normal people be avoided. All clothing! And only older people and nobody can see. Disgusting

    We had a rental car and therefore it was from the airport about 50 minutes' drive. The hotel is located on the edge of town and you have a rental car better cared for. Nightlife does not actually exist in Costa Calma and we wanted not even party and really go out, but only outside of the hotels comfortably which drink. There is also a good restaurant (galeria) if you wanted to eat out.
