Hotel Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge^{(4 stars)}

Directly at the kraterrand, lodge offers a dreamlike view of the open terrace and of the approximately 80 rooms in the basin of the Ngorogoro crater. To the entrance down, in the 600 meters sunken sinkholes, it is a short drive. The lodge has actually otherwise not that much to offer. The room was rather small and simple, already a bit shabby. The staff average, somewhat inexperienced, definitely not friendly. Because the hotel in approximately 2400 meters ü. NN. Is, it will quite cold, itself in the hotel. The lodge is located directly on the edge of the ngorongoro -crater and offers a great view in this from the terrace and all room from. To the entrance in the park it is also just a couple of minutes. The hotel has otherwise not lots to offer, there is no swimming pool pool nor fitness room, no tv on the rooms, but one a guest lounge. Internet is not available. The food is good and sufficient. The sanitary facilities could have been a renovation necessary: the quality of the proposals in the pipe caused. The hotel has a fantastic view. This is really priceless. Not only has this view from the terrace, but also from the rooms. The rooms are rather small, the modernisation (probably in 2010) but better than some older reviews was. The dinner was Okay, good buffet. You can stay in Tanzania clearly better, but also worse food get. In the evening it becomes very cool, as there is no heating. The musical entertainment is too touristic former. All in all, we recommend this hotel because of the one-time views. read more

Good the hotel is located fantastic at the kraterrand and offers a great view. The abfahrtsstraße in the crater is only approximately 10 minutes away. Bad: by far the worst during our 5-day safari. When we arrived there was no refreshment towels as usual, a welcome drink we were on demand our guides brought. The staff is completely unemotional and taciturn and not directly as such, everyone in privatkleidung (in tracksuit-style) walking around. As well as at the reception, as well as in the restaurant, no way! They gave us a room at the bottom, although the hotel maximul half ... was occupied, on demand we got then close to some back and forth still a room further up with an appropriate view.
