We stayed in a suite for 4 people and with half-board (but outside) very pleased. Impressively was the staff's hospitality but the place overall. We would love to go back. The way to the beach is a nice walk but in summer, if you high temperatures has, too far. There is a shuttle, which we didn't make use of. I would have liked a basic salt, sugar and so on. In the kitchen, if this has already. And as we in the middle of the night arrived, would be a bottle of water been great. read hotel review

the hotel would the concept great, but it is not properly managed. for the short useful life already very heruntergekommer condition. there are serious shortcomings in the cleanliness ( outdoor areas, front desk, room, breakfast area, balcony etc. ) outdoor area little covered with greenery. the rooms are huge and a good layout. the furniture is modern and attractive. A safe is only for a fee available, which in all travel documents as Inklusiveleistung is declared, very strange I thought. the rooms are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, 2 air-conditioning devices, separated by living and sleep area. The bathroom in the proportion somewhat small. the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Such a dirty room we have never experienced. Hair in the bed, crusty Badenwannenränder, tiled floors and carpets with stains covered, as if a bunch of wild boars probley. Dust and cobwebs Whereever you look, thick dust balls under the beds. Leaves and dirt on the terrace. Black Fingerprints on all doors. The list is eternal...

  • Gastronomy
    1.0

the breakfast we did not in the slightest convinced. Every day the same choice, no variety. The quality of the dishes leaves much to be desired (overripe gherkins, immature tomatoes, almost only canned fruit ). from cleanliness no trace (dirty tables, dishes and cutlery ). the staff had very often for lack of things out, whereupon you with very surly responses count had.

  • Service
    1.0

the complete staff is totally indifferent and bored. The customer ignored, of friendliness or a simple 'good morning' no trace. Complaints be not taken serious, they only comforted or with cheap excuses put off. Only the contact with the travel guide has effect. The cleaning of the rooms is a disaster.

A two year old hotel that has not yet been found. The conditions are all given, but not used. The rooms are very well appointed, tastefully decorated, fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom. Weaknesses in the optical cleanliness of the cleaned sheets and the towels. Spacious beds with very good mattresses. Very large balcony. ten minutes to the place, 20 minutes to the beach. Or use the shuttle bus. Good beach and cozy place. read hotel review

We were very pleased with the hotel. The location is a bit out of the way, was very quiet (they don't mind only the barking dogs in the evenings). The food was good for us, the service great. That bothered us: the rooms were cleaned in the afternoon and the within minutes. The balcony was in the 14 days not cleaned. What a pity, how can it then look in a few years? It was the sheets, and the towels were changed always OK. We have felt ourselves very well in this hotel and had a pleasant and again very ... nice holiday. " Have car is a " read hotel review

The condition of the room was great. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite with jacuzzi. The small kitchen was adequate. A little tip the staff if you were cleaned the room and the result is more thorough. It is in the majority of the hotels in the world. The half board is ok. German, Dutch, Northern, English in the mix they didn't bother us. We 6 , 4Erw. Plus 2Kids offer 359 Euro for flight, hotel, half board and transfer at TUI. It was a great deal for a week. Normal is TUI more expensive. read hotel review

The rooms were very large and luxurious. Coffee maker toaster dishwasher fridge, microwave, hair dryer climate safe. Unfortunately only 2 dt. TV stations. Huge balcony and furniture well maintained. Cozy and comfortable furnished. The hotel is supposed to open only a year. There should be fine.

The waiters and staff were all ok. They usually get a smile and one to walk back. English if you can. Room cleaning as already described. There are no complaints. There is a. In all hotel in which we were the last 5 years unprompted attention on my birthday. I talked to the front desk, but they did a bit deaf. Oh well.

  • Sport & Leisure

As this hotel as a calm oasis offered lacks any entertainment. We don't need either. Shopping possibilities in the hotel itself there was not. Alvor provides enough. The pool is a nice place to relax with the dogs barking all day. Take with you fly swatters. The Alvor beach wasn't bad, in Lagos, Portimao or west coast of the island has the so-called dream beaches. The weather at the end of October was excellent.

2 Hours drive from Faro to Alvor. Some hotels will be driven by the transfer. But the closer you get the west coast, the more beautiful will beaches and surrounding areas by way of public transportation. Alvor is still originally, and easy access to 10 minutes walk to reach. Shops, bars, restaurants and beaches are in middle environment. But it is recommended to rent a car. There were cheap deals in Alvor. My only caution is through TUI. There are much more expensive cars and excursions. The beaches along the west coast for example Amado,Beliche are a must. As well as the last bratwurst prior to America at Kap Vicente.

We chose this, recently opened hotel due to the good hotel reviews decided, the 4 star strong in question! Probably the worst message, the you upon their arrival will receive the that there was no reservation is available Overbooked!! For 2 nights we could get to stay. The glass elevator read the outside view unfortunately marred only to the lobby, as the glass-fronted after it was built had never been cleaned - the marks the Saugnäpfe from the Fenstermontage and dust from the building were still be seen. The first impression of the room was very good - spacious, decorated ... in a contemporary style and reasonable beds! Looked after closer inspection you then, for example the glass table in the dining area, the wall tiles and fixtures in the bathroom, floors, and counters or not only superficially clean. The small selection at dinner and no descriptions of the food woren't make it we feel at home. After a restless night (barking dogs), we were from the noise at 730 AM woken up a huge construction site in the neighborhood. The breakfast was actually at home: the table ourselves ceilings, only that you had to eliminate dirt from other guests! We recommend this hotel under Portuguese leadership to not recommend. read hotel review

We are traveling 5 times a year and the rooms were in our experience in a very attractive and modern condition. The air conditioning works very quiet and each room has a kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, stove, especially a refrigerator. We had a room on the ground floor, which wasn't noisy or unpleasant. Therefore, you had the advantage of being the lawn on the terrace with use of a balcony and not on the layout is limited. We didn't use the pool, as the beaches of Algarve are much too beautiful to the hours by the pool. The ... service in the restaurant is getting used to and sometimes you get the feeling you will ungelerntem staff who was no idea from the hospitality industry. The food was good but the variety could be better. The staff was friendly and always accommodating. Especially the front desk was very hard for the well-being of the guests. The internet access on 2 PC-terminal is very slow and expensive. I would have liked a hot-spot and area. We had a rental car directly from the airport and the transfer to and from the hotel makes its responsibility. That was very pleasant. I would without a rental car the hotel based on the location to the beach not recommend. I would like to write a tip: We had our rental car parked on the busy Strandparkplatz and yet in the car with violence broken into. The perpetrators have our clothing (jackets, jeans) from the trunk stolen. A healthy beware. read hotel review

The hotel features modern, spacious rooms with a telephone, a flat screen TV, safe (2.30 EUR rent per day) and fully equipped kitchen with full-size refrigerator. We had booked a junior suite but got a Master Suite on the 3 . Floor, which came with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room with a sofa-sleeper a whirlpool in the outdoor area. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the whirlpool, because it was totally dirty and neglected and wasn't cleaned during our stay. The regular rooms didn't have a whirlpool, though. Except for the cleanliness there was actually no complaints; therefore only 4 suns, otherwise we would have given 6 . The was tolerable because the hotel was still very new and there wasn't any "old dirt" was available. We felt that the hotel had never been cleaned thoroughly after completion. (For example the generously glassed front of the hotel, on whose slices still showed the traces of the exemple were) We're to be improved. We are not picky, but this was extremely.

  • Gastronomy
    4.0

When we really liked the atmosphere in the dining room or on the outdoor terrace, dar we both breakfast and dinner always sat outside. Due to the relatively low Number of rooms in the hotel, there was no bustle, no crowd and a pleasantly quiet atmosphere during the meals. The quality of the food was okay, in our opinion, even though you shouldn't expect culinary highlights. Compared to other big 4 star hotels, the choice was smaller, and we, for example, missed dishes freshly prepared before the eyes of the guests. We almost always something tasty.

The reception staff was mostly very friendly. Almost all staff members spoke a little German, and we could well communicate in English. However, our complaint regarding the cleanliness in the room and the whirlpool (see Note above) was taken note of but remained without any effects.

We can't say much about it because we the day on the beach or on excursions by car. If you a nice pool area with entertainment is, but here in the wrong hotel.

We found the location good because we had a rental car for our entire stay and just walked to the village in the evening. ( About 10 -15 minutes) Alvor indeed interesting entertainment possibilities in the evening (bars and taverns with live music, tasty restaurants with grilled fish) which were distributed to a few streets. On the harbor promenade are more bars, however, mainly visited during the day. Evening was clearly less going on here than in the town center. If you'd like to explore the surrounding area, you should have rented a car. (mobile sat nav because orientation didn't always come) tip for the evening: sports cafe and Bolan bar (tasty Caipirinha for 3 , - EUR) to the beach, we had to walk a few minutes more; a bus transfer was offered too, but we never used it but because of the rental car.

Hotel is beautiful, the junior suite was great, big, the balcony was huge, the staff was helpful, it was cleaned every day and everything was clean to almost 100 %. I had never had such a beautiful room. Just super!!! A textbook example of equipment. The safe in the room could be rented and safe. There was a TV 360 degrees. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was ok. Very large balcony. Air conditioning could be adjusted individually and was not loud. The kitchen provided everything. Great decor and super clean, and everything was in great condition.

Open daily for breakfast and dinner buffet with a large choice. Food was constantly replenished, and everything was delicious. Drinks had to be paid on our own (half board), but there were enough drinks offered in the morning, so we only had to pay for drinks in the evening). Since there was a fridge, you had enough water/drinks in the room anyway, unless you went shopping once.

Entertainment: no of silly ball games finally -) the hotel makes a bit Saturday night live music on the terrace, that was it. Very quiet hotel, excellent for recreation. The pool was big enough, the garden area was nice. The beach in Alvor was great. It wasn't as crowded as in Lagos or Portimao. Generally the beaches were clean and the water was lovely.

The hotel was somewhat above Alvor, walk away so Alvor was about a 10 minutes', to the beach it was about 20 minutes. So, you could also reach the beach quite well without a car. Also, cities such as Portimao and Lagos could be reached easily by bus/taxi, which wasn't too expensive either. (The bus drive to Portimao cost 1.40 euros, the taxi from there for 3.50 Euros to the very nice beach ) (to Lagos, it was a little on the high side, worth a rental car might, but as I said, it wasn't necessary as long as you also wanted to and not bone-idle.) The hotel itself is in a very quiet location just pure relaxation.

A great beach vacation in a fishing village with great beach, good restaurants and small shopping. A rental car is recommended, but not urgently necessary. Algarve in all is very nice, with a nice scenery. Large Hotelriesen are a few to be distinguished, more self catering apartment blocks. Hotel Luna Alvor village is very modern and has very nice rooms, some with a partial view of the ocean or the worse option with view of the parking lot. (Also room on the ground floor are not urgently recommended) We booked for the end of September and crowds are very nice ... weather at this time of year low so that on the beach had his peace and relaxation. Trip to Lisbon is only recommendable if you 10 hours by bus and 5 hours of wondering interested. read hotel review

We had a great holiday. Hotel area was very nicely decorated. The suites are amazing. Nothing was missing. Very comfortable furnishings. The hotel staff was friendly. The food was very varied and delicious. We recommend to rent a car, as the beach not close. But with a rental car you here in 5 minutes. Ample parking is available on the beach, of course gratuitous. 2 Beach chairs with umbrella cost 10 euros per day and from 2:00 pm 7,00 EUR. In about 5 km away you Aldi and Lidl, where you can shop well at the usual lodges. ... We really recommend a boat tour to the Felsgrotten in Lagos. Lisbon is highly recommended. Alvor is for a quiet place, you meet almost exclusively Portuguese and English. There were very few German. We didn't get away without knowledge, it hardly anyone spoke German. We will definitely return and book the same hotel. read hotel review

The rooms were gorgeous. We have never had such a great. Huge, divided into three areas (again, sleeping, eating). decor is cool, I really like but very good. An enormous at the front of the hotel also sunny balcony. The bathroom is relatively small, is poorly cleaned and a shower curtain is comparison with the other amenities a bad joke! The tub in the shower is the hot tub. I even used it was fun, but it would have been exterior with much enjoyable. The kitchen is a dream. Everything the heart could desire: Circulating air stove - 4 -plates icebox, dishwasher, full size fridge, microwave, espresso machine, blender, Pürierstab, kettle, toaster, even a poultry SCISSORS, you can also book without the meals? But also here Compromised. What a dishwasher, if no cleaner provided? Re-run around you, don't buy I no package. Also washing up liquid is not there. We have all, we use hot but without even rinse out funds, in hoping for us it properly cleaned. The carpet in the living area was not damp. The TV was a large flat-screen, you could make so that can be viewed from either the bed or sofa. In the great closet had a safe. Absolute minuspoint: air conditioning! The exhaust device of the air-conditioning of the room next door was just at the head of our bed appropriate when it was running could not sleep before noise! Lucky, if you want a room with a bed on the right side and its climate, without the is then in addition to its own ear, but that's the neighbor for further away.

The food is very beautifully presented in great staylish bowls. However, I would prefer the dishes would be less chic, but the food delicious! To the atmosphere: I like this style of the McDonald McCafes. In addition but an unpleasant tranquility, so I dared to entertain hardly on the first night. The feeling was luckily after. Maybe you should just walk a little quiet music entertainment? Outside there are clearly too few places and even less umbrellas (in the morning it was already red hot in the sun). Inside you sat cramped. The tablecloths were not changed. The clearing away of places and new took very long. If you eating is, is used cutlery cleaned up quickly. There was always a fish-knives, but rarely a real fish, the not fried is such a cutlery, what could be worth it. Breakfast was: fried eggs, scrambled eggs, baked tomatoes, Spp. beans, English sausages and bacon (adjusted to the British guests, however, we noticed only one English Touristenpaar). Then sausage and cheese etc. (I am not so no information more possible). Coffee, tea and water from cans cans, juices, milk. Bread: white bread, "The grain bread rolls", thick sweet toast and croissants from the bag. Yogurt and cereal was also offered, and some fruit. As we had made a round trip and comparison to three other portugiese hotels had, we can say that this is the worst. Evenings there was: a soup (2x try, not to our liking, then left out), always french fries in any form, Möhrengemüse, a Reisegericht and a noodle dish. In addition 1x fish and 2x meat (mostly chicken and something else). The only thing was never took what it should be. The best part was always the fish, but mostly after a CONVINIENCE (? )-Product looked. They have a lot of great presentation, but my husband not as great tasting salads. For dessert there was always melon and pineapple (fresh) and sweet cakes. Overall it was always delicious food to eat for everyone, but I have for the price and four stars considerably more including imagined! The cleanliness: finally found if something white walked on the floor, that was the following 3 nights up to our check out were still on the floor!

It was never really clean. The 2 . We spent 5 € 7.30 day as it was marginally better, but we were on the duration have been too expensive. The kitchen, the glass table, the balcony with furniture were never cleaned. The bed was prepared unlovingly. Even when we arrived, the bedding was already wrinkled. The staff is very friendly. But also the after. I got the square shown on the first day and the chair adjusted, so I had to the 2 . Day the same myself. Maybe because we did not expensive wine ordered? Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to give tips, as it on the bill of the room and at the end is charged. One of the waiters could a little German, otherwise spoke English. One had to say that Portuguese basically very poorly paid. However we stayed more than double what we paid, for example in better (better run? ) 4 -star hotels in Spain paid.

One evening there was live music. It was great! Outside the food ... Nice! You should make every night, then would maybe even if they actually nice looking in the bar. It was always empty. The pool is in my eyes a token pool, as a hotel a must. He is except for morning in the shade of the hotel, is set in large wise completely enclosed. Next to it there was a small field with are also fenced. Quirky. No entertainment, but I didn't need. Also no sports possibilities as far as I know. The Internet access (€1 per 15 minutes ) was broken during our stay. You could buy German books, but very expensive.

The hotel is a bit out of the way, but what we found to be positive. Alvor is very from British preferred, you are a little off the beaten path. A cozy yet evening stroll in to town (about 10 Minutes). However in Alvor was as good as everything for the British coordinated with the exception of the port, so we only went for and not make no mistake. We don't like pubs or karaoke bars. There are shopping possibilities there right on the road. We did have a car we preferred the cheap supermarkets a few miles toward Portimao. There are Lidl, Aldi, Leclerc etc. There were plenty of 24 Alvor. The tourist information center in Alvor is absolutely recommendable, the friendly older gentleman has plenty of anecdotes and German speaking information ready.

We loved our room absolutely loved it. Very large, full kitchen, nicely decorated and large balcony. We enjoyed the food, the breakfast and dinner there is nothing to complain about. Good wines and good selection of drinks. The beach was a dream. For those looking for some toward breaker walk is almost alone. Very quiet, not to crowded and there are not so many tourists. Due to the proximity to the beach is a rental car was a good idea. gorgeous sand, the water was a bit chilly but this will take at least the heat of the day. It ... is served in the afternoon a bit windy, but then it will not too hot in the sun. Had fantastic weather during the whole week. The bays of Lagos and Portimao with its rocks are amazing. Absolutely take the boat trip in Lagos through the bays! A trip to the Capo S. Vicente, the end of the world, is a must, fantastic view, beautiful sunset. Also a drive up the coast to the north is an experience, many beautiful bays. First time in Portugal and going back next year to the same hotel. read hotel review

We, 21 and 25 years, as a couple in the first week of June flew to the Algarve. We had originally booked into another hotel. Upon arrival at the airport in Faro we were told this was overbooked and we get an alternative hotel in town Alvor. We had all inclusive and haven't complain about charges were not excessive for food and drink. For breakfast, dinner they had a very long, plentiful muted Buffettafel before. Mornings and evenings there was always fresh, delicious fruits and crispy vegetables. Breakfast was between croissants, rolls, toast and normal bread be chosen. of muesli and cornflakes and assorted meats, cheese, jam, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, yogurt etc. Don't expect the hotel guest. As drinks there were several juices, milk, coffee, hot water (for tea) and water with or without carbonation. The dinner was also very delicious and didn't leave any of want more open: daily varying fish, numerous vegetables, daily 'Plat du Jour'vegetables (e.g. B. Asparagus in June), pasta, meat, seafood, various salads (pasta, vegetables, fruit, Fischsalate, ... ) and for dessert three different cakes/tarts. Good quality for our palate! To the drinks we couldn't comment, since we had all inclusive. The restaurant (with smart terrace to sit outside) and the lounge are like the rooms modern decor. Depends on what the atmosphere when it comes to guests noise caused by the time.

The waiters were very friendly and always cared for the well-being of the customers. But you have to occasionally pro directly to check the needs to get (e.g. B. With the ordering etc. ). The staff at the front desk was also quite friendly and tried hard, but depended on how who was especially at the reception. English are mostly good (there were only a male exception at the front desk whose English it left a lot to be desired and the word helpfulness should not really knew). Small note: German, as in almost all in Portugal, hardly any spoken. Step for example. In the rooms, the light defects you informed them to the reception, the error listed and quickly solved (in our case was the Gefrierklappe of the fridge broken). What the room cleaning - as far as the cleanliness a bit tlc. When we arrived, there were still Papierstückchen on the floor in the bathroom, but the next day cleared away. We also found around the sink hair from past guests. However, there is also good things to say: used towels were changed and bins emptied daily. Those who were very much prides itself on cleanliness, should prepare yourself because there are no German(! ) hotel standard expected.

At the center of village, about a 10 minute walk to the beach are further away it unfortunately about 20 to 30 minutes walk. The hotel itself was quiet, and there is also a small grocery store around the corner. The location, however, is not suitable for a beach holiday, since the beach is relatively far away from the hotel (you could go to the beach also can't see them). Although there is a free shuttle bus runs three times daily, but would be a rental car Visits during to not rely on the bus (the last shuttle runs 4:15 pm los - during the summer period from the beach a bit too early for our taste). The small, but fine city Alvor invites you to cozy a stroll, and one of the most evenings, when all lit up. The night life is for the Ortsgröße pretty good degree - in Alvor wait numerous bars and small restaurants on the visitors.

Ample parking is in front of the hotel The staff is nice and friendly, speaks partially even German. The food, whether early in the morning or evening, was delicious and plentiful, every evening there were several choices. The apartments are large and cozy equipped, on the most modern standard. The sleeping area along with a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, stove, oven, kettle, dishwasher, fridge-freezer combination etc. ) With dining table for 4 persons, a living room with sofa and flat screen TV (international channels only ARD and DSF), the huge balcony and as last the bathroom with hydromassage (jacuzzi) were, as mentioned in other reviews, unbelievable listed/toll/comfortable/relax and unwind. No information what a fish or meat they offered there. The drink prices were moderate. A rental car is recommended, because you otherwise only a beach of many looks. The Alvor beach is a long sandy beach. Turn left (if you see the sea) for 2 other beautiful small bays with a beach bar. So you can even more mobile, independent and in the town itself has everything you need-supermarket, pharmacy, newsstand and gift shops and several restaurants and bars. Alvor is in the hands of the English, but not too disruptive.

The hotel is a little out of the way, about 10 minutes walk to the beach. Bus from the hotel. However the hotel is 2 hours away from the airport in Faro. We didn't mind. We did want peace and a little further away from the big tourism centers. There are many possibilities for souvenir shopping. In the harbor are a lot of nice fish restaurants. The fish was freshly grilled and tasty. Definitely again. For large purchases but you have to go to the nearest Portimao. Excursions were offered. We have a bus ride with German speaking tour guide to Lisbon. You can also rent a car or catch the public bus to individual tours. We took the bus to Lagos and had to stay in a hotel at the harbor flaniert and then relax with a boat grottos.

The outside of the building is a simple architecture and promises nothing spectacular. The area was missing and consists of a green lawn and a very simple pool. First the tone a positive impression. read hotel review

The rooms themselves are very good, however not thought out: What good for example the dishes (the from the cleaning staff did not touch), if no cloth and no washing up liquid. Moreover, the rooms very dusty, the other guests developing problems are not cleared up. Throughout our stay was not vacuumed and not wiped, only the beds were newly laid. With a strong dusty Kosmetiktuch on the TV (with the Schmutzseite up), the tv stand came in contact with several times, we gave the cleaning lady to understand that the dust removed. Also to the reception we complained and it to no avail. Afterwards, we even in the room cleaned: -) And if you be woken up at night from a fire alarm, please don't be surprised! We stayed in an older contributions and could read several times attraction "live" experience. ear plugs could not save our sleep. At the front desk told us, this was a difficult lösbares technical problem, just in front of the specialists work for months.

Food was ok. with some tasty cakes, but you had to be there right at the beginning of the dinner, because they had some not refilled.

Staff are very inattentive. On arrival you from a lazy receptionist (when we were there it was the Mr darius). A bit to explain and info (for breakfast, the area, the safe) is an alien concept, if you ask you realize Nervousness of the staff. There is clearly the guest to understand that you were disturbing. The same thing applies for the restaurant. The staff had dancing classes loudly joking,'s blaspheming of guests and eat in the hall, as if there were no guests in the restaurant would have. Evenings, the used not newely laid tables and you there was forced to take a place where you would you want it to be. If you're polite, another space, protested the kitchen staff very noisy - just awful! If you come to the meals a little later (one hour from the official end), you will be next to each other tables with detergent sprayed seated guests without regard to the next to it, so that the guests from the washing up liquid. If you know the staff polite indicating the this gets to you, it again noisy and unhappy. Here I am out the word, we travel all over the world and have never experienced the accuracy and are all available for our information!

No entertainment, it was only a couple of times in the foyer singing. Also no sports possibilities. Inside the hotel area because we do it is not looking for that didn't bother us. The way to the beach was our sport!

The hotel is a little out of the way and the path to the beach through the construction is long and dusty. There is an way coped with a car. The beach in Alvor is also very easy and nothing special.
