the hotel would the concept great, but it is not properly managed. for the short useful life already very heruntergekommer condition. there are serious shortcomings in the cleanliness ( outdoor areas, front desk, room, breakfast area, balcony etc. ) outdoor area little covered with greenery. Direct access from the parking to the individual terraces, rooms on the ground floor. to many families with small children for my taste. read more

    the rooms are huge and a good layout. the furniture is modern and attractive. A safe is only for a fee available, which in all travel documents as Inklusiveleistung is declared, very strange I thought. the rooms are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, 2 air-conditioning devices, separated by living and sleep area. The bathroom in the proportion somewhat small. the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Such a dirty room we have never experienced.     the breakfast we did not in the slightest convinced. Every day the same choice, no variety. The quality of the dishes leaves much to be desired (overripe gherkins, immature tomatoes, almost only canned fruit ). from cleanliness no trace (dirty tables, dishes and cutlery ). the staff had very often for lack of things out, whereupon you with very surly responses count had.

    the complete staff is totally indifferent and bored. The customer ignored, of friendliness or a simple 'good morning' no trace. Complaints be not taken serious, they only comforted or with cheap excuses put off. Only the contact with the travel guide has effect. The cleaning of the rooms is a disaster.

    A bit out of the way, which is not further bad. A car is however recommendable nonetheless. Options for shopping there is immediate Surrounding area. to the town center walk a couple of minutes, to the beach about 20 minutes.

A two year old hotel that has not yet been found. The conditions are all given, but not used. The rooms are very well appointed, tastefully decorated, fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom. Weaknesses in the optical cleanliness of the cleaned sheets and the towels. Spacious beds with very good mattresses. Very large balcony. ten minutes to the place, 20 minutes to the beach. Or use the shuttle bus. Good beach and cozy place. read more

The room was a dream! Spacious, split into living room, bedroom and dining area (with kitchenette) with a super big balcony and stylish and modern decor. Would definitely stay there again to this hotel again! read more

We were very pleased with the hotel. The location is a bit out of the way, was very quiet (they don't mind only the barking dogs in the evenings). The food was good for us, the service great. That bothered us: the rooms were cleaned in the afternoon and the within minutes. The balcony was in the 14 days not cleaned. What a pity, how can it then look in a few years? The condition of the room was great. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite with jacuzzi. The small kitchen was adequate. A little tip the staff if you were cleaned the room and the result is more thorough. It is in the majority of the hotels in the world. The half board is ok. German, Dutch, Northern, English in the mix they didn't bother us. We 6 , 4Erw. Plus 2Kids offer 359 Euro for flight, hotel, half board and transfer at TUI. It was a great deal for a week. Normal is TUI more expensive. read more

    The rooms were very large and luxurious. Coffee maker toaster dishwasher fridge, microwave, hair dryer climate safe. Unfortunately only 2 dt. TV stations. Huge balcony and furniture well maintained. Cozy and comfortable furnished. The hotel is supposed to open only a year. There should be fine.

    The waiters and staff were all ok. They usually get a smile and one to walk back. English if you can. Room cleaning as already described. There are no complaints. There is a. In all hotel in which we were the last 5 years unprompted attention on my birthday. I talked to the front desk, but they did a bit deaf. Oh well.

    As this hotel as a calm oasis offered lacks any entertainment. We don't need either. Shopping possibilities in the hotel itself there was not. Alvor provides enough. The pool is a nice place to relax with the dogs barking all day. Take with you fly swatters. The Alvor beach wasn't bad, in Lagos, Portimao or west coast of the island has the so-called dream beaches. The weather at the end of October was excellent.

    2 Hours drive from Faro to Alvor. Some hotels will be driven by the transfer. But the closer you get the west coast, the more beautiful will beaches and surrounding areas by way of public transportation. Alvor is still originally, and easy access to 10 minutes walk to reach. Shops, bars, restaurants and beaches are in middle environment. But it is recommended to rent a car. There were cheap deals in Alvor. My only caution is through TUI. There are much more expensive cars and excursions. The beaches along the west coast for example Amado,Beliche are a must. As well as the last bratwurst prior to America at Kap Vicente.

We chose this, recently opened hotel due to the good hotel reviews decided, the 4 star strong in question! Probably the worst message, the you upon their arrival will receive the that there was no reservation is available Overbooked!! For 2 nights we could get to stay. The glass elevator read the outside view unfortunately marred only to the lobby, as the glass-fronted after it was built had never been cleaned - the marks the Saugnäpfe from the Fenstermontage and dust from the building were still be seen. The first impression of the room was very good - spacious, decorated ... in a contemporary style and reasonable beds! Looked after closer inspection you then, for example the glass table in the dining area, the wall tiles and fixtures in the bathroom, floors, and counters or not only superficially clean. The small selection at dinner and no descriptions of the food woren't make it we feel at home. After a restless night (barking dogs), we were from the noise at 730 AM woken up a huge construction site in the neighborhood. The breakfast was actually at home: the table ourselves ceilings, only that you had to eliminate dirt from other guests! We recommend this hotel under Portuguese leadership to not recommend. read more

We had a wonderful time in the Algarve. The hotel is decorated in a contemporary style, the large rooms are great. A rental car is definitely recommendable. The hotel is a bit out of the way and the Algarve offers wonderful goals (places and beaches) for excursions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. read more

We are traveling 5 times a year and the rooms were in our experience in a very attractive and modern condition. The air conditioning works very quiet and each room has a kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, stove, especially a refrigerator. We had a room on the ground floor, which wasn't noisy or unpleasant. Therefore, you had the advantage of being the lawn on the terrace with use of a balcony and not on the layout is limited. We didn't use the pool, as the beaches of Algarve are much too beautiful to the hours by the pool. The ... service in the restaurant is getting used to and sometimes you get the feeling you will ungelerntem staff who was no idea from the hospitality industry. The food was good but the variety could be better. The staff was friendly and always accommodating. Especially the front desk was very hard for the well-being of the guests. The internet access on 2 PC-terminal is very slow and expensive. I would have liked a hot-spot and area. We had a rental car directly from the airport and the transfer to and from the hotel makes its responsibility. That was very pleasant. I would without a rental car the hotel based on the location to the beach not recommend. I would like to write a tip: We had our rental car parked on the busy Strandparkplatz and yet in the car with violence broken into. The perpetrators have our clothing (jackets, jeans) from the trunk stolen. A healthy beware. read more

We had booked a junior suite but got a Master Suite on the 3 . Floor, which came with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room with a sofa-sleeper a whirlpool in the outdoor area. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the whirlpool, because it was totally dirty and neglected and wasn't cleaned during our stay. The regular rooms didn't have a whirlpool, though. In this condition but it was not available anyway. read more

    Except for the cleanliness there was actually no complaints; therefore only 4 suns, otherwise we would have given 6 . The was tolerable because the hotel was still very new and there wasn't any "old dirt" was available. We felt that the hotel had never been cleaned thoroughly after completion.     When we really liked the atmosphere in the dining room or on the outdoor terrace, dar we both breakfast and dinner always sat outside. Due to the relatively low Number of rooms in the hotel, there was no bustle, no crowd and a pleasantly quiet atmosphere during the meals. The quality of the food was okay, in our opinion, even though you shouldn't expect culinary highlights. Compared to other big 4 star hotels, the choice was smaller, and we, for example, missed dishes freshly prepared before the eyes of the guests. We almost always something tasty.

    We found the location good because we had a rental car for our entire stay and just walked to the village in the evening. ( About 10 -15 minutes) Alvor indeed interesting entertainment possibilities in the evening (bars and taverns with live music, tasty restaurants with grilled fish) which were distributed to a few streets. On the harbor promenade are more bars, however, mainly visited during the day. Evening was clearly less going on here than in the town center. If you'd like to explore the surrounding area, you should have rented a car. (mobile sat nav because orientation didn't always come) tip for the evening: sports cafe and Bolan bar (tasty Caipirinha for 3 , - EUR) to the beach, we had to walk a few minutes more; a bus transfer was offered too, but we never used it but because of the rental car.

Hotel is beautiful, the junior suite was great, big, the balcony was huge, the staff was helpful, it was cleaned every day and everything was clean to almost 100 %. Food was okay, there was a buffet with enough to choose from. (I'm a fussy eater and had no problems, which may be a bit hot. ) Guests are mostly German or English, some also came from Portugal.     I had never had such a beautiful room. Just super!!! A textbook example of equipment. The safe in the room could be rented and safe. There was a TV 360 degrees. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was ok. Very large balcony. Air conditioning could be adjusted individually and was not loud. The kitchen provided everything. Great decor and super clean, and everything was in great condition.

    Open daily for breakfast and dinner buffet with a large choice. Food was constantly replenished, and everything was delicious. Drinks had to be paid on our own (half board), but there were enough drinks offered in the morning, so we only had to pay for drinks in the evening). Since there was a fridge, you had enough water/drinks in the room anyway, unless you went shopping once.

    Entertainment: no of silly ball games finally -) the hotel makes a bit Saturday night live music on the terrace, that was it. Very quiet hotel, excellent for recreation. The pool was big enough, the garden area was nice. The beach in Alvor was great. It wasn't as crowded as in Lagos or Portimao. Generally the beaches were clean and the water was lovely.

    The hotel was somewhat above Alvor, walk away so Alvor was about a 10 minutes', to the beach it was about 20 minutes. So, you could also reach the beach quite well without a car. Also, cities such as Portimao and Lagos could be reached easily by bus/taxi, which wasn't too expensive either. (The bus drive to Portimao cost 1.40 euros, the taxi from there for 3.50 Euros to the very nice beach ) (to Lagos, it was a little on the high side, worth a rental car might, but as I said, it wasn't necessary as long as you also wanted to and not bone-idle.) The hotel itself is in a very quiet location just pure relaxation.

A great beach vacation in a fishing village with great beach, good restaurants and small shopping. A rental car is recommended, but not urgently necessary. Algarve in all is very nice, with a nice scenery. Large Hotelriesen are a few to be distinguished, more self catering apartment blocks. Hotel Luna Alvor village is very modern and has very nice rooms, some with a partial view of the ocean or the worse option with view of the parking lot. (Also room on the ground floor are not urgently recommended) We booked for the end of September and crowds are very nice ... weather at this time of year low so that on the beach had his peace and relaxation. Trip to Lisbon is only recommendable if you 10 hours by bus and 5 hours of wondering interested. read more

We had a great holiday. Hotel area was very nicely decorated. The suites are amazing. Nothing was missing. Very comfortable furnishings. The hotel staff was friendly. The food was very varied and delicious. We recommend to rent a car, as the beach not close. But with a rental car you here in 5 minutes. Ample parking is available on the beach, of course gratuitous. 2 Beach chairs with umbrella cost 10 euros per day and from 2:00 pm 7,00 EUR. In about 5 km away you Aldi and Lidl, where you can shop well at the usual lodges. ... We really recommend a boat tour to the Felsgrotten in Lagos. Lisbon is highly recommended. Alvor is for a quiet place, you meet almost exclusively Portuguese and English. There were very few German. We didn't get away without knowledge, it hardly anyone spoke German.     We had a great holiday. Hotel area was very nicely decorated. The suites are amazing. Nothing was missing. Very comfortable furnishings. The hotel staff was friendly. The food was very varied and delicious. We recommend to rent a car, as the beach not close. But with a rental car you here in 5 minutes. Ample parking is available on the beach, of course gratuitous. 2 Beach chairs with umbrella cost 10 euros per day and from 2:00 pm 7,00 EUR. In about 5 km away you Aldi and Lidl, where you can shop well at the usual lodges. We really recommend a boat tour to the Felsgrotten in Lagos. Lisbon is highly recommended.     The rooms were gorgeous. We have never had such a great. Huge, divided into three areas (again, sleeping, eating). decor is cool, I really like but very good.     The hotel is a bit out of the way, but what we found to be positive. Alvor is very from British preferred, you are a little off the beaten path. A cozy yet evening stroll in to town (about 10 Minutes). However in Alvor was as good as everything for the British coordinated with the exception of the port, so we only went for and not make no mistake. We don't like pubs or karaoke bars. There are shopping possibilities there right on the road. We did have a car we preferred the cheap supermarkets a few miles toward Portimao. There are Lidl, Aldi, Leclerc etc. There were plenty of 24 Alvor. The tourist information center in Alvor is absolutely recommendable, the friendly older gentleman has plenty of anecdotes and German speaking information ready.

We loved our room absolutely loved it. Very large, full kitchen, nicely decorated and large balcony. We enjoyed the food, the breakfast and dinner there is nothing to complain about. Good wines and good selection of drinks. The beach was a dream. For those looking for some toward breaker walk is almost alone. Very quiet, not to crowded and there are not so many tourists. The hotel is not right in Alvor, but at the beginning of the little town. To the beach it by car about a 5-10 minute walk and easy to find. Ample parking is in front of the hotel The staff is nice and friendly, speaks partially even German. We, 21 and 25 years, as a couple in the first week of June flew to the Algarve. We had originally booked into another hotel. Upon arrival at the airport in Faro we were told this was overbooked and we get an alternative hotel in town Alvor. When we the room (junior suite) entered, we were flabbergasted: A spacious, large apartment, very modern (with flat-screen TV, hair dryer, Whirpoolwanne, fitted kitchen with dishwasher, oven, blender, toaster, microwave and many other equipment). In addition, in both rooms high quality air conditioning you individually via remote control and can be adjusted. On ... the balcony hasn't save you also - space is there were enough.     The modern decorated suite we really liked it. (Estimated 40 sqm) The decor is extremely comfortable. The sleeping area along with a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, stove, oven, kettle, dishwasher, fridge-freezer combination etc. ) With dining table for 4 persons, a living room with sofa and flat screen TV (international channels only ARD and DSF), the huge balcony and as last the bathroom with hydromassage (jacuzzi) were, as mentioned in other reviews, unbelievable listed/toll/comfortable/relax and unwind. The rooms facing the street are a bit noisy, but evening sun.

Dinner: Simple cuisine with nothing special, small choice, with little variety we were filled ... There was fish, meat, noodles, vegetables. My only complaint was the buffet only FISH and MEAT. No information what a fish or meat they offered there. The drink prices were moderate. (The delicious cocktails are only 5-6 EUR) for the half board as we paid only $70 more, we did not expect culinary high culinary delicacies. In Portugal it was good food at a reasonable price.

Through the many glass's all lots of light and sun. Elevator available for the three floors of the hotel. With 70 suites just right for relaxing and quiet holiday. Large pool and children's pool in the garden. Flora is still a little cramped as hotel only 1 year completed. Rooms and particularly the bathroom very clean (with the whirlpool tub! ). Small kitchen fully furnished, even with coffee maker and dishwasher for light meals in between. 2 ... Air conditioners (1 living room, 1 bedrooms) the comfort. Food is plentiful, whether at the buffet breakfast or dinner, also a buffet. The fish and the sonnenverwöhnte fruit taste delicious. Guests were mostly German and English. Listed were well.     The hotel is a little out of the way, about 10 minutes walk to the beach. Bus from the hotel. However the hotel is 2 hours away from the airport in Faro. We didn't mind. We did want peace and a little further away from the big tourism centers. There are many possibilities for souvenir shopping. In the harbor are a lot of nice fish restaurants. The fish was freshly grilled and tasty. Definitely again. For large purchases but you have to go to the nearest Portimao. Excursions were offered. We have a bus ride with German speaking tour guide to Lisbon. You can also rent a car or catch the public bus to individual tours. We took the bus to Lagos and had to stay in a hotel at the harbor flaniert and then relax with a boat grottos.

Internet reviews on the hotel on trip advisor reviews were 100 %. Staff in the dining area untrained plates on the table long. Food selection not big, in canteen, nothing was nicely decorated. Staff unfriendly you will like if you be overchallenged. Almost no one speaks German English a big plus. Rooms are large and great everything available, Vacuuming+dusting not your scene. No Wellneesbereich nothing for kids as well as, except a small wading pools. Within walking distance, about 20 minutes to the beach. Always through Alvor. There is also a shuttle bus (not always waited also already in vain ... )breakfast often wait for coffee as any to refill jurisdiction, butter + jam packed lots of debris. We were disappointed are from a 4 star hotel was not used to shame for the hotel by several guests! read more

    The rooms themselves are very good, however not thought out: What good for example the dishes (the from the cleaning staff did not touch), if no cloth and no washing up liquid. Moreover, the rooms very dusty, the other guests developing problems are not cleared up. Throughout our stay was not vacuumed and not wiped, only the beds were newly laid. With a strong dusty Kosmetiktuch on the TV (with the Schmutzseite up), the tv stand came in contact with several times, we gave the cleaning lady to understand that the dust removed.     The hotel is a little out of the way and the path to the beach through the construction is long and dusty. There is an way coped with a car. The beach in Alvor is also very easy and nothing special.
