We had already done some research on the hotel before we left, so we knew that the facilities were basic. The hotel is getting a refurbishment next March when it converts from self catering apartments to all inclusive. A mistake I think as the small complex has everything you need, and the loyal guests seem to return time and time again. A large clean pool area with plenty of loungers. These are chained up until 9:30am so you can`t reserve one. The pool bar serves the usual snacks and drinks, and there are two happy hours. The first from ... 4 - 5pm and the second one from 9 - 10pm. The price of the happy hour drinks are the same price as the local bars. There is a large Hypo Dino supermarket on your doorstep for local provisions, and there is a small hotel run supermarket which as you would expect is a little more expensive. The walk to the beach takes about 8 minutes downhill, but a little longer on the way back. The hill is a little steep. The beach and local amenities are faultless. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops to tempt the money from your wallet. Maid service was a little hit and miss. In the 3 weeks we had there, the sheets were only changed 3 times, and the room cleaned generally every other day. When it was cleaned it was done to a high standard. The kitchen came complete with a two ring hob, kettle, toaster, fridge and basic cutlery and crockery. No cleaning materials though apart from a very small tea towel (changed once). We were in room 58. All rooms face the pool and all but the bottom block of apartments that face away have a sea view. Ours was opposite the reception and had the sun on it for the majority of the day. At reception you can hire fans, irons, bicycles, mobility scooters etc., and you can also book the Sunday market from them. Fantastic value at 4e return per person. The apartment could do with some work on it, but if it`s getting revamped you can understand why they have neglected it a little. Look past this, and you will have a relaxing stay here. The official rating is two keys, but Monarch had it as a 3 star. I would put it somewhere in the middle of that. Internet charges were 20e for one week, and 30e for two weeks. I paid, and found the connection everywhere was spot on. If you want to watch the TV, it will cost you 1e for 20 minutes. Not that many English channels, but you can get Sky sports on it. Walk down to Hypo Dino and you can get free Wi-Fi, as you can with the majority of the bars. It definitely has it`s own charm, and I just hope that it keeps it when it gets upgraded. Good luck to them.
