Small Ressortanlage consisting of the main building and various Holzgebäuden total of 53 rooms. The complex itself is rustic, for their age of about 30 years but well maintained and very clean. As we booked the night itself, there were no other benefits as breakfast or dinner included, as it is in North America in the rule is common. In the last september days as we stayed for one night and Edelweiss in the evening the first snow glistening ausschüttelte, very few guests. The rooms are available in numerous Holzgebäuden. At the Sunwapta hideway rooms share two rooms a building. These rooms we would recommend even if only because of the fireplace. The size is fine for two people. Next to two double beds, the fireplace in our room there was a desk with chair, a small sink with refrigerator and coffee maker, a TV and a bathroom with shower. The rooms are not the most modern, but they are very clean and gave no reason for complaint.

The resort has a restaurant, the hotel's gift shop is attached. Here all meals. We had dinner and breakfast the next day. Both the quality of the food, as well as the quantity were very good and for the rustic ambience. The restaurant itself also made a clean impression. Of the dishes you should expect of course nothing fancy. that is what you like wild and fish in Western Canada so begins. The food prices are not cheap. Probably ready to play a role that there are far and wide no alternative. You can also pay for the safe.

Concerning friendliness of the staff there was nothing to complain about. We were treated. In our room we had an open brick fireplace. in the evening after it was cold outside sensitive and we experienced the first snow, have stayed with us our fireplace aggravation and the wood-burning and enjoyed the room warmth. The AGGRAVATION as a service is offered because it wasn't that easy. Through the open fire it was in our room was cozy, so that we the normal heating in the evening off.

The hotel is right on the Icefields Parkway, about 53 km south of Jasper. Villages or other tourist facilities in the surrounding areas are not available. The resort is practically in the nature, even if the highway 93 directly beside the hotel. From the hotel there are several hiking opportunities. within walking distance are the Sunwapta If distance. A visit is really worth it.

The hotel is in a remote area on the highway. To the next town, Jasper, it was about 53 km. You are on the hotel restaurant, if you're hungry. This shares with the souvenir shop Facility and apparently plush, since the waiters and tie are walking around - but just not fit in a shack-. The rates are really very overpriced. I have never seen such a bad steak tendons and fat food there. read more
