Decor is average local standard, with much love (and work) clean maintained. Rooms not large but did not feel cramped. Refrigerator, sink, glasses and kettle. Bathroom/toilet pretty small and simply The apartments are partially built in the mountain, so you in spite of the central storage in the rooms very good soundproofing (in Fira is until well after midnight really noisy high-life). Benefits are very flexible, breakfast can be ordered optional (7, -/p). Air-conditioned bedrooms. Per room, a small terrace directly to the caldera view, table, chairs, partly lounger.

It is only breakfast in the immediate vicinity but countless bars and restaurants.

Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The size and the standard of the hotel where there but of course have not accordingly occupation of front desk etc and no service at the pool etc. The family itself speaks perfect german (native the owner and her daughter), otherwise English (and may be French). The room cleaning is very good and discreet. We had no complaints.

Small, family-run hotel in top location. Clean, tidy. International guests breakfast can choose to the night before to be ordered (7, -/p). The hotel also comes with a very nice and clean pool (in this location in Fira can only a few!!! ). To note are really very many and steep pulled up at the entrance, but in this sensational location is not different

Sensational!! The hotel is located on the crater edge in the middle of Fira and can only about the narrow steep streets of Fira within walking distance (with luggage about 20 minutes from the bus station, on request and registration will help with the luggage, as the staff actually announced tip). The view, the sunsets, the view of the harbor and the volcano are impeccable and unique. Fira itself is only partly suitable for a beach holiday, the check in (30-40 minutes) to the beaches by bus about every hour, but can be crowded

Our apartment was great! Plenty of space ... Refrigerator, kettle etc you will see the every year what will be made ... A well kept area !

Like most properties in the caldera is the Scirocco. Therefore there are also only breakfast. But one refrigerator and a bit cutlery/plates in the room, this wasn't a problem. Right on the first day you are away and in the supermarket to stock up on. We had drinks, fruit and a few tomatoes, so we bought cucumbers during the day something for the small hunger. At night, we to eat. It is right on the crater rim abnormally expensive, partly ridiculous. But there are some very good restaurants away from the interior is really lovely-.

All very friendly! Arthuro is the caretaker speak. He sees to the rooms, even chat ... Alma makes the breakfast and helps Arthuro. If you want to know, ask you Anja or one of the two daughters. Evening time is also available for grown Vulkanwein talked. Anja and her husband are mostly only in the evening to the Scirocco.

The pool is great. I would never in the caldera without pool staying. The way to go.

We were 1 week at the Scirocco and we really enjoyed it, we will come back! Very good contact pick-up at booking, etc. It everything was right. The owners with its Family very nice Leut. However you must be fit, as there are many stairs. But who in the caldera nächtigt knew that before. Not so much bags! We had our room (efficiency) in the middle of the complex, ideal, and not far to the pool and not far to the front desk (breakfast terrace outstanding). From 1 week stay is the breakfast and were very pleased with it. orange juice, Kaffee,1 egg, honey, jam and cheese. Sure it was packed, but one had to remember that everything is within walking herbeigeschafft. So you can't expect a Riesenfrühstücksbuffet. We were pleased with the cleanliness. Change of towels etc. The pool is just the right size, you can swim laps and is not crowded. As we were 2001 time back to Santorini (Perissa) didn't feel like we didn't go to the beaches and stayed a week at the Scirocco on our beautiful terrace or by the pool and enjoyed the gorgeous view.

The location of the Sciroccos is ideal. You are fast ( depending on the condition ... LOL) the supermarket or at the bus station. Everything was in the immediate vicinity. From the Scirocco overlooks the harbor and the hotel's funicular railway. If the cruise ships is a bustling Notable. There was always something to see ... You won't get bored.

We had a large Grottenwohnung in typical Greek colors blue/white painted. These consisting of 2 rooms with 3 beds (open floor plan), bathroom, a large balcony and a kitchenette with refrigerator, air conditioning and sufficient shelf space. Overall condition of the room is very good. Cons: Unfortunately there are neither in the room nor a safe in room and at the front desk the railing firm mounted umbrella offers unfortunately only until about 16 hours protection (from then you sit in full sun!!! ) .. Other holiday makers had the probably already time, it was re-furbished but these hardware.

The hotel is still available either self catering or with breakfast. Unfortunately the breakfast is a great weakness. In over 10 Greece holidays we stayed in many 2 and 3 star hotels in almost all a better breakfasts. There are coffee/tea, orange juice, 1 egg, butter/jam/honey/cream cheese in small plastic bowls and a bowels quark. Of course, you can put up with a week, but compared a clear minus.

Anja (CONTAGIOUS smiles! ) The boss is German and manages everything with her husband, as well as a about 3 -köpfigem team. Anja is usually only in the evening at about 21 hours at the hotel, otherwise you could phone but at any time, or at the other quiz staff. (All very friendly, helpful and english-speaking) There is an airport transfer - unfortunately there is no drop to the cruise port. Anja has us ferry tickets in advance for you as for worried about what a natural service was thanks!!

The entire hotel is terraced into the hillside and you had accordingly some steps to walk up. Serves up a small room than front desk, where breakfast on the terrace. The average age of the mostly German (strain-) guests is around 40 years and older. The resort has a clean, well maintained and is well kept. The hotel has a, for the narrow standards, good pool with about 10 sunbeds (enough shade available).

The location is also central, basically very good and above all, are quiet. Just remember to walk to the hotel via some steps. Restaurants and shopping can be found in 5 minutes on foot (upstairs) for breakfast on the open breakfast terrace you should always have a jacket - it can be very windy !

Basic but adequate: room 14. fridge, plates, cutlery and glasses are available. This room has a double bed plus a 3 . Bed, more Raumplatz. We can say nothing but GOOD things to say about the cleanliness.

Breakfast only, offered. more than enough for us, as with übervollem stomach it can be bad hiking.

We can only positive things about: Alma and Aturo, the responsible for breakfast and the room, are always tried, to please the international guests to meet. A young, nice Greek care for the bags with schweißtreibender muscle-Hol and drop. Anja, the hostess is really warm! Whoever service 24 hours a day, an 5 -star breakfast and deluxe rooms expected, should better another area. For us was the breakfast terrace already pure luxury: view, sun and enjoy all only.

Entertainment: small talk every night before the front desk-alone is you never! Nice pool below the area-clean, but cold!

Important to know: No hotel, which is within the star standard pigeonhole, but a apartment complex situated in the best location, quiet but central. First of all: If you are flying to Santorini, the realize that here the rooms/taken. A you dizzy hotel prices. If you love that wonderful crater-island without any fuss about excessive prices want to soak, is in the right place here. Clean impression, not 5 star quality, but adequate, simple rooms with private balcony and .... Traumausblick. German hostess Anja and team are always nice, also during our 2. Visit to the Scirocco.

dream location. the crater rim with daily, glorious sunset. main village Thira with numerous tavernas, królikarnia Palace 4.2 -GLITTER shops and bus station in the immediate vicinity. Oia walk is a must, but also the southern point with lovely deserted beaches very worth it. From the resort you can gaze great cruise ships with binoculars. A hike through the inland is also recommendable, to land and people to get to know you.

Different size of room and a balcony. Amenities in durchgängigem, plain style. basic functions are guaranteed. Not particularly comfortable.

If one had breakfast in the area of gastronomy Classifies, so is the rating which we "service" posted. Otherwise there are no gastronomy.

The service of the house I can actually just in the category of "standard" lane. give punctual pick-up from the airport and the transfer returned there is here in virtually all hotels obligatory. The room cleaning we would describe superficially. Throughout our stay not a single time dusting. The bathroom fixtures were furred up, the faucet leaked. The kid-sized blankets were grumpy. The hotel has no breakfast room, so you can have breakfast in your room bad weather. The 25.50 tray could be at the reception desk. The front desk itself is only irregularly occupied. The breakfast terrace offers in a fully booked hotel not enough space for all guests. Consequently, the "coffe" the place to be. At the lowest terrace of the hotel there is a small pool with very cold water and 4 lounge chairs. In the rooms some rather battered hardback copy literature.

The resort is built Terraced seating in the Spoiler LIP of Kraterrandes. Rooms of different sizes are quite simple and functional. Local, blue painted wood furniture, a decent bed, ample closet space with a hotchpotch of hangars (mostly feasible option), small table as living area and white marble floor. No trace of luxury and has all the comforts of a basic German country inn to compare. On different sized terraces has a spectacular view of the caldera with the central volcanic island and the whenevr were and the legendary sunsets in the west. The hotel is situated in the middle of the classic Postkartenansicht of Fira. We were in October, so at the end of the season and met us at the Scirocco mostly German middle aged couples. We booked over the internet and directly in the German innkeeper, reserved. Our booking included bed and breakfast.

As already described the hotel was located in the middle of the Kraterrandbebauung so it's fairly central. Depending on the location could be reached via steep steps the interior is really lovely- which then than Tourist trail to the Nobel jet set place "Oia". About more flights of stairs you reached the older section of Fira (approx. 15 Minutes) where you will find many fine restaurants and shops. From the taxi rank and the bus station only about 15 - 20 minutes. A little physical condition for stairs should bring you. The 6 points, and therefore the "Very good" however, there are for single superb view.

In Fira plenty of eating options to suit all budgets. At the Calderaseite the especially expensive in the city prices are similar to those in Germany. Especially recommendable: the Stari and the Naoussa. Simon, at the beginning of Thira located, very rude chef.

All very friendly, helpful, room cleaning good.

The pool was small but clean, plenty of loungers.

We could only agree with the other guest reviews, it was a dream vacation. The view from our apartment #16 was worth the trip. As already mentioned you need to be able to walk well because there are already daily many stairs to get into town. Whoever traveled here only for a beach holiday here has made the wrong choice as the beaches can see but nothing more. grounds were very well kept, some rooms were small but you only on the terrace that surrounds the marvelous area to enjoy. Guests from all countries except Russians, lots of around 50 years old, very quiet atmosphere. No TV and radio, it wasn't necessary. Breakfast adequate, every day you get an egg, partly cakes, for those who want more nearby a very good supermarket which leads the everything you needed. As stated by other reviewers the hotel manager was a German, the ANJA and her daughter who are always there for the guests. Also Arthur and Alma and new Franco are terrific.

If you're staying for a week is booked transfer and breakfast included. Transfer time from the airport 15 minutes. But in the hotel isn't hear the aircraft noise. Beaches and the place IA are from the bus station, 10 minutes from the hotel.
