Hotel Umm Al Quwain^{(3 stars)}

Our superior room consisted of living room, bedroom, bathroom and a terrace with a view of the very nice garden (only the least rooms have sea view). The rooms are big and clean. A large refrigerator with a large freezer is available for free use available. Also is available telephone, air conditioning, satellite tv (with only a few german channels). The bathroom has toilet, bidet, sink and a bathtub (with shower curtain). The towels were changed daily. The usual mold in the joints is available, what also in more-star hotels is quite common. A safe is not in the room available. The front desk provides a briefcouvert for valuables available, the then deposited, but not really locked away, will. You should also good to think about, which valuables you really want to bring, as it the front desk not really a safe was. Our room number 302 had the following characteristics : the room was quite noisy ('person above us', '). Also clear to hear, as we suspect, a fan, the around the hour all 2 minutes for about 10 seconds walk. The mopeds calls at night between 4 and 6 o'clock loudly to prayer. For people with light sleep recommend absolutely carry ear plugs forward.

Breakfast buffet were, for the size of the hotel, fully alright. There were different pastries were, the more in the direction pastries, muffin, marble cake, croissants, etc. Went. The check in worked very smooth and fast. We arrived around 9:00 a. m. in the morning in the hotel at, were then for breakfast 'invited ' (without an extra charge) and got directly afterwards our room allocated. A deposit, as in many other hotels, was not required. In comparison: in the Hilton in rak we had to 5000 Dirham deposit and the breakfast costs extra, as you the room in general always only finished starting from 14 hours paid. The staff is friendly, but not effusive. For breakfast one gets coffee after a steal, if one becomes apparent. Otherwise it can happen, that a 4 basement with the breakfast to look ☺

An entertainment program for you luckily in vain, so you can reach the wonderful peace at the beach fully enjoy. There there are to sun screen, couches and towels free of charge. Also in the afternoon was still space to get. We would like to stress, that the hotel, at our time there and probably also in general, to about 90-95% of the guests were russian. These guests made for a very pleasant impression and were never negative. Also the kids was above average quiet.

The hotel consists of a small main building, by front desk and restaurant are accommodated. The rooms at the beautiful garden area, than 1a 2 story 'townhouses'. The hotel is directly at the beautiful, fine sandy beach, the two sides with large steinblöcken is circumscribed (but you can over and so still some meters continues to walk). Certainly he could occasionally be removed, but the beach itself is always clean. To the airport or the historic part from Dubai one drives depending on traffic about 60 minutes. On foot in umm al quwain, after about 10 minutes of the first large supermarket reaches, including McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts. Right, 5 minutes away from a KFC-restaurant. Left to further 5 minutes you reach a roundabout, in which it to the right in the aqba am nafa road is, in some small tea rooms, simple food stalls, bakery, hairdressers and takeaways (here there is also the delicious shawarmas ) are. In the historic part (rather a 'altdorf') one comes best with the taxi for overall 10 Dirham (2,30 Euro) or after about 1.5 hours walk. There is a nice, old fort including museum, a visit is worthwhile, since very interesting and old objects are exhibited. Furthermore also there lots of small shops with textiles, handyzubehör, food stalls, the almost only of locals. However one could also there as a tourist delicious and extremely cheap food. Who in want to tips, please, the vast majority will probably not really commitments (i had only booked accomodation and breakfast and were exclusively outside of the hotel eat).
