We were with our services as a group (including some children) and can only one conclusion excellent hotel with great value for money.
The staff was very friendly, the director can't be beat, we very pleasant talk to him: thank you, seriously! Kitchen, etc. Very clean. But, that we in a larger group on the way were, was the evening buffet was very good, it was always the real find. It was missing to something.
Evenings there was almost every evening a musical maintenance program, so that the dance after skiing also not too short.
With the ski bus one ... could comfortably directly from the hotel all areas, the you wanted! The weather it had also very well with us meant: ski and snow conditions were also optimal, the ski area was lovely: extensive slopes, etc.
That some guests write, the hotel is ageing, we could not understand and that only partially parts: we had the cards prior really not as well presented. Clear, it's not just everything newly renovated, nevertheless the hotel makes overall a very good impression, already at arrival in the lobby. Whoever complained, is your own fault and should a 5 star hotel book. Which certainly not for the price is.
The bath and spa treatment department is excellent, also here you can only one thing to say great value for money. Very spacious swimming pool-even with lifeguard-also salt grotto, sauna, turkish. Also all inclusive.
And a large radix complement at mrs r. prior to (with the reservation everything worked out excellent, the communication via e-mail was perfect), as well as the greek waiter, the evenings the food served and we almost missed, as he of the holiday. Big compliment so to the entire team!

A recommendable hotel. Ideal location directly next to the spa gardens, for skiers the ski bus stops directly in front of the hotel. It is reasonable value for money. Very friendly staff, the always competent and ready to help in the event of problems and issues are.
The guest is very individually treated. The treff at the bar, with varying live music (Bruno has for all of the guest the appropriate music), is a nice end of the day. One may not, the hotel offers plenty of other options.

Positive:
Very friendly reception staff, ski bus directly in front of the hotel, short way to the alps thermal baths
Negative:
The food was scary for breakfast there were 4 different fruits from the can (compote), eggs were cold, cheese- and meat platters obviously the day before prepared and little presentable, minicappuccino must be paid separately (3,20 Euro). Dinner is probably due to the 70-year-old: bland meat and fish, overcooked vegetables and side dishes, soups and desserts was okay, but for Austria rather mau. The staff in the restaurant was partly friendly and helpful, partly unfriendly and rude.
In ... the sauna was partly lack of towels but the easy until mittelgenervte lifeguard moved on request further towels individually out. read more

The christmas holiday was beautiful. In the hotel everything gorgeous decorated and a wonderful culinary and entertaining program was offered. In particular on holy evening: with adventjause in the afternoon, reading and singing of christmas stories and songs together with the guests before the christmas dinner. A completely great arranged christmas eve.
Every guest got a plate with homemade sweet treats to the room.
The entire town of bad hofgastein is very nice decorated for christmas and offers in the afternoon until evening in the standl punch, mulled wine and various delicacies at. The fresh snow made for extra romance. ... The sports comes with great ski slopes, cross-country ski run, and an ice rink not too short. read more

The palace is a somewhat older hotel, which in my opinion in certain areas a renovation needs (pool, hallways).
The location is really good. Only a couple of minutes to the center and the thermal baths. The bus stops right in front of the hotel, unfortunately in the pre-season too rarely.
Our room was clean and with an additional we equipped, there the heater, if it is very cold is not enough.
The food is generally from buffet and is really good, the staff is extremely friendly, we have in this form rarely experienced. Here again a special thanks to ... the service staff.
All in all, has the value for money absolutely right.

Big hotel with many rooms; but getting quite old.
Hotel was clean and more for ' older guests' equipment.
We had the half board (breakfast, brunch & dinner).
We were already in some 4 *' hotel and unfortunately i think not, that this hotel the matches. Reception area very modern, but the rest needs a facelift. read more

In spite of the size of the hotel the kurhotel palace his personal touch preserves. The warm welcome, immediately a cozy feeling and makes a break from everyday life easy.
Vacation from the first hour on.
The hotel is very clean and tidy even if it already older year of construction is.
Buffet breakfast, brunch and dinner including alcohol-free and alcoholic beverages are in the room price included. Pleasant meal times (also for late risers).
The guests of the hotel mostly came from Austria and Germany in booked resisezeitraum and the average age was between 30 and 70 years. read more

The wellness hotel Palace is mostly renovated, amongst others the entrance area. The modernized bathrooms, also the rooms are a few years ago renovated. In the hallways and stairways was visible the tooth the time was weathered: the charm of the early sieibziger years moves into the eye. A painter should be desperately the scuffed wall plaster renovate. Despite daily cleaning it smells in the hallways slightly musty respectively after Küchendünsten. Broken light bulbs in some lamps were during my seven day long stay not replaced. It testifies to disinterest on the condition of the halls. Apparently, it seems that ... the state of the too many older audience 60 + not to disturb you.
Basically, at the daily cleaning the room included bath nothing to complain about. The hotel is very clean!

The hotel is directly next to the spa and nearby the alpentherme. The village, shops, restaurants, the alpentherme, as well as the lift to schloßalm ski area can be reached on foot be achieved.
During the stay were mostly older guests in the hotel (65-75 years) were isolated families and younger guests in the hotel but it is the name' wellness hotel' in the village of more than fair. Bad hofgastein is fully on spa guests and the in every aspect after.
The hotel itself has the best years behind itself, is but very clean and tidy. In the wellness ... area it was new to built. Beauty treatments are available, there is a sauna and a steam bath in the newer area.
The indoor pool had a einendirect exit to the hotel's own garden with (suns ) loungers. The water does not smell after chlorine is however despite generous glazing rather dark and a bit outdated now. Towels are in the wellness area ready.
The staff are very accommodating. No matter wether at the front desk, in the restaurant, in the hotel bar or cleaning. There are very lots of regular guests the personally welcome.
In the day of arrival you get in the restaurant a fixed table for the duration of stay assigned. This table is you then at all meal times:
- breakfast (7:00 until 10:30 )
- Brunch (11:00 until 12:00 )
- dinner (18:30 until 20:30 )
The table is very clean and properly covered. In addition to the basic things there are also the daily menu and program available.
For breakfast, there is:
Coffee, tea, cocoa.
The filter coffee is available in thermokannen available. The cocoa is served at the table.
Water, juices.
Bread, pastry, toast.
Cheese, sausage, spreads.

In spite of the central location in the spa gardens the rooms are pleasant quiet. The terrace ( room 110) with a view of the garden and the surrounding mountains was also a guarantor for rest and relaxation!
