We stayed for 2 weeks in the Heritage Le Telfair and enjoyed every minute! The service is always supremly friendly, the rooms are beautiful and the Golfcourse is one of the best on the island! The food was very good, ecspcially in the asian restaurant "Ginger". Also there, the service and the humor of the bartender was perfect! Only critisism, the cocktails in the "cavendish bar" arent the best we had... maybe a professional barkeeper would help?? read more

    The rooms are beautiful and exactly what you wish for in a holiday! The bathroom is very big with shower and bathtop. Very comfortable bed!

    The food is at an very high standard, but becouse of the half board you cant expect a 3 star menue every night. Sometimes the fish was a little bit to dry and the soup not flouvered enough. The dinner at the extra payed "Ginger" was as good as it gets! Perfect fresh sushi and a very well spiced beef and tuna! The cocktails at the main bar need to improve though!

    The golfcourse is perfect like i said before! Pool and beachclub are very well looked after, everything is cleaned everyday and well prepared every morning! Activities like boat tour, snorkeling, kitesurving and beachvolleyball is possible!

    The location is right at the beach. From our room it was 30 meters into the ocean. The pool was also right there. The golfcourse is probebly the best on the island, maybe Anahita is as good?! Condition and friendliness is at a high standard! Even though the golfcourse is very busy ( which is becouse of the included greenfee for hotel guest) we got around in 4 hours evry day! Which is very enjoyable!

In the colonial style very nice hotel in the south the island. A nice golf course is part of the complex and is in 5 minutes with the autoshuttle reached. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the bathroom with dressing room is very big and style of the hotel designed. The air conditioning performs good services, one needs here also clearly! Free wi-fi in several packages in the room on the tv to buy and in some public areas free of charge. The condition general is well maintained, even if and the this hotel no new building is. With ... the cleanliness the room it goes in such a way, the staff tried even if not in all corners successfully. In the restaurant and the other areas of flies because of the open architecture lots of birds. The then before and during the buffet times bird droppings and the bacon with the feathered friends parts, you have to like. Also, the dishes and especially the glasses not always clean, which is a shame because staff sufficiently available is. Especially at of the pool bar is thankful if alcohol in the glass is, the disinfected. The guests come from England, France and Germany but all very pleasant. The age structure was multicolored mixed. read more

    The rooms are large, especially the bathroom with the dressing area was spacious and nice.     It is in the hotel approximately 4 restaurants which ginja in my opinion is the best and at the beach is. The anabella is the standard restaurant where the breakfast and rather mediocre. A piece of further in the hotel is a buffet with three/four stations where freshly prepared and where you could find something ( even if i personally no buffet fan am) We had booked half board and thus actually every evening strong pay extra for something good to get. The prices are in the absence alternatives in the area steep and for me came in the week without luxury indulged to have about 500 Euro alone for food without drinks with on top with my half board kindly from the essensrechnung in deduction was brought to our room. I am no scrooge! But if price/performance ratio not in comparison is possible, i think the difficult. The glasses and the dishes are not always very clean and unpolished/ kalkfleckig. At the bars are many insects around the fruits and pollution by birds those there funny around fly (everything is open, which also has a certain charm)

    You should be 8. what time of day one in the hotel important, because no matter how long you have been traveling is (from Germany the circa 14 hours) the rooms are only at 15 o'clock finished. The nerves, because it is after so long time tired, uptight and annoyed and wouldn't like to be in the soak reiseklamotten still 4-5 hours at of the pool bar sit and wait. The staff is overall friendly to hard, although usually unfortunately very disorganized. You have the feeling most of them are with the tasks overwhelmed (lack of instruction from the management?) It french and english is spoken. The rooms are on the whole clean, although unfortunately not in all corners and so you meet here and there hair his predecessors, is because of the rough surface felt dirty floor tiles.

    We were there to golf there, the i can also recommend because the square very nice is.     The sporting facilities are good and snorkeling is divine, even the coral reef is damaged in large parts due to motor boats and water sports activities. They try to protect the shallow reef by not allowing water sports during low tide. The sailing boats are of low quality and difficult to handle; hobbie cats would be a better alternative.

Negative: disproportionate prices for food and drinks with the half-board in the chateau, as well as ginger since 2008. Would this hotel only with all inclusive recommend. Apart from that a matchless great vacation. read more

The hotel lies at the south coast in the proximity of the small town of bel ombre and is in colonial style built. One has immediately the impression, in a other time and the enormous friendliness of the staff reinforced this very positive impression. Every wish from our eyes, repeated cleaning the hotel on the day, great gym with vielfäligem program. This is a wonderful and the perfect place for relaxing. The staff are very friendly and at all times concerned the wishes of the guests to fulfill. The rooms are very spacious and with a lot of attention to detail designed. Make sure to book a room with a sea view! The beach and the pools are very clean. The whole complex is very well maintained and has a special flair. The food is always fresh and diverse. The hotel is to 100% recommendable. Simply a dream! We stayed for two weeks for swimming and golf in le telfair resort. Before departure I have HolidayCheck informed and have already on the first day found, that this hotel wrongly poor assessment. My husband and I are working very much in Oberklassehotels and had both the same impression: friendliness and attention of the staff was at any time given; the cleanliness and the atmosphere corresponds to a five star hotel! The free green fees we have almost every day used. The golf course is beautifully designed and in a great condition. We booked half board and thus the election ..., evenings in Anabellas or sister Awali to eat. We therefore also have the Awali a Mauritian buffet try and here I could only sadly say, that the negative criticism really belongs (bad organization, no trained staff). We have every evening the three courses comprehensive menu in Anabellas enjoyed. The dishes were very good and arranged lovingly. The drinks prices for a hotel the upper class adequate (cocktail 8 euros, beer 4. 5 Euro, 1l of water 3 euros). Water and small snacks very convenient for the kiosk in Bel Ombre ( around 20 minutes away on foot) bought. Excursions we have with a rental car done, over the concierge very easy to rent and with 65 euros per day definitely as a part of is. In short: we had wonderful 14 days Maritius and will gladly come again! read more

    There are 7 restaurants offered, which however only 2 to the booked services belong; the offered food didn't correspond to the paid price; better food( for example Steak) there is a extra charge, about 35 euros starts. The buffet in the attached Awali resort does not even 3 stars. If one instead of menu in the evening on the barbecue wanted to participate, costs around 80 euros extra charge per person. wine gives it starting from 40 euros the bottle, average costs normal Bottle of wine 60 euros upwards, good wine is from 150 euros to have. Beer ( small) 4 euros, a large beer costs 8 euros. As mentioned, for extra charge everything is to be had, but you get the impression, that one in the hotel assumption, that only millionaires here run.

    A very good better looked after golf course with a friendly staff; usually driven; a cart costs approximately 55 euros! Access to the internet only in general areas; access in the room costs for 13 days around 100 euros; that is also free choice of movies; Internet alone costs on the day around 9 euros! Options for shopping are almost not available, guests use a small store about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, with beer and water normal prices catering. the pool a temperature of felt 30 degrees; beach chairs were always in sufficient number available. Towels there is only one per person, with the paid price in my opinion very petty. A very well maintained and friendly spa area is available, however also here rip-off prices(Golfer massage on 100 euros)

    the quality of the dishes is very good, after 2 weeks but one knew the menu. Outside from the main restaurant are the extra charges to half board completely covered. The half board was a 2- star hotel and k a 5 sterneressort. If you reasonable to eat wanted w weapons over co-payments abgezockt enormously for example 1 fl. Rosé wine (the cheapest), soup, piece of meat and small dessert circa 75 €extra charge for half board per person. read more

    The hotel is located in the south-western part of the island, and is located approximately 45 minutes on foot from the Airfield, direct at the beach. No street or similar from the direct access to the sea. The beach was daily in the morning well maintained and for the guests prepared. At the beach there is free beach towels and beach chairs.     Except 2 village does not exist lot-but you should know that before you go. If you are a driver or excursions, this is not a problem. A supermarket for necessary things, is available at the next village( with the taxi 15 minutes and about 8-10 euros back and forth)

    The location on the island is for the South-West Coast very well. From here with the rental car beautiful excursions. The sea was during our travels in this field the island rather rough - the hotel fairly protected was. Sailing - for example outside the reef is not here possible been. A dream vacation for all who like quiet and relaxing want. You can do everything the heart could desire, from free water sports offer of the hotel, to guided tours with your own taxi driver ☺ country and people are incredibly nice and polite! Human fantastic kilometre-long beach directly in front of the room, everything was stunningly beautiful! The hotel was super, super nice laid out and very well-kept, but there is not much else around to reach, you need a taxi, but that is no problem at all. The hotel is only in English or French is spoken, no ... matter where you go there. We would not hesitate to return our honeymoon in this hotel make! read more

Due to the many positive reports on holiday in Mauritius our expectations were very high, and we were not disappointed! The romantic le telfair in colonial style is, in fact, as well, as we and due to various Fotostrecken reviews had hoped for! We felt like we were guests on a feudal Zuckerrohplantage in the past with all the comfort and luxury of modern times! As a guest of the heritage le telfair the amenities and facilities of the heritage Awali hotels and C-beach clubs can use, either in culinary remain in sporting terms some to be desired. Excellent opportunities to play golf, beautiful and more demanding space with nice service. In the area of the hotel very well maintained Atmosphere, in the bar in the evening live music, but for single certainly boring, for families nice. We were however in the low season in the hotel, if it was full, there are certainly disturbances in the service area. The food( half board) was good, the service at raised despite many people quickly use overburdened. Wi-Fi in the next season free, in the peak season subject to a charge. Wine List very good, but a bit pricey (it ... is so in Mauritius!). in short: a single traveler, not direct recommendable nonetheless ( low season!), in the peak season the food and service area is bound to problems enter. for us in the low season it was perfect ( however all play golf). read more
