The hotel offers all inclusive with partial offer. One must nevertheless each order separately sign and always be careful, that they don't get, which nevertheless subject to a charge is. Four stars Maritius not comparable with german 4 stars hotels. The buffet-restaurant had the charm a 2-both cafeteria. The staff here was friendly but uninterested. The beach restaurant was pleasant furnished, the food really good, freshly prepared, first class service.
We were three weeks in the hotel. One of the shutters in our room there was broken (1. week) and has been removed. The other two weeks we had to leave for the blind pass, since they are no longer has been installed. The cover and the glasses in the toilet were broken. They were not repaired. The türklinke toilet ... broken, not repaired. The tile joints in the shower in the lower area of mold.
The towels were 2 times per day changed. The bed linen was regularly renewed. The mattresses the beds were comfortable. Minibar is refilled everyday.
The loungers around the swimming pool our double room were 50% in very bad condition. The covering torn. The chairs at the beach tonnenschwer, the cushions were very dirty. A drink-service at the beach exemplary.
The beach rocky and full of tips corals. Without bathing shoe is the beach couln't be used. Quite strong current. We have every day multiple bathed, placed however feast, that the people in our, as well as in the two neighboring hotels hardly ever in the water were. So you in this hotel the bathing bay almost for itself!
Lots of fun in the water. Sailing, water skiing, pedal boats, paddle. The boys at the beach were helpful and tried very hard, the tourists to fulfill every wish.
Attractive facilities, well-kept garden, extensive animation.
Altogether a hotel for more young people. The cultural events in the evening the standard of the hotel just.
Who in the evening outside of the hotel something undertake would like, is not here in the right place. There are two hotels beside the tamassa -hotel. We were never there, we didn't know, if a visit was possible.
No place far and wide, next place about 5 kilometers away. No shops except for a small insignificant boutique on the hotel area. read more

The tamassa hotel was the first station i Maritius trip and actually also the hotel with the lowest classification. But - all in all it was for me the best hotel! If all components count lobby, check in, restaurants, food, pool, spa, beach, sea, room and bar, it is in the gesamtschnitt unbeatable!
After arrival the lobby with a view on the sea of course breathtaking! The beach is like everywhere on the island quite narrow, but perfectly adequate! But mri here the quality of the water the best accepted! The beach is well-tended and also the swimming pool is ... inviting to stay a while! The complex is extensive, so that you are not pressed occurs, however also not so large, that you a eternity to the restaurant needs. Just perfect just! The rooms are super! Large, bright and friendly, modernly furnished and the bathroom offers very lots of space and is also remarkably bright with natural light!
The breakfast, as well as the dinner were outstanding! Not in terms of choice, but also it tasted perfect! The staff were also in any case polite, accommodating and extremely hard! I would recommend it to anyone! read more

The hotel lies not far from the small village of Bel Ombre, a quiet lagoon. The area around Bel Ombre is less touristy. There were all sorts of guests there ( France, England, South Africa, locals, German.). The staff speaks fluent in French and English. Distance from the airport: about 45 minutes drive.
For a four-star hotel were some things very good. Nevertheless some improvements can help, this vacation as' perfect ' to look at:
-the hotel needs urgently new beach chairs, many are broken or dirty.
-atmosphere, quality the products and the service in Showrestaurant were below ground ... bad. We happened as in a cafeteria/train station (which also from the staff so means!). I could have been a additional, smaller à la carte/ themed restaurant welcomes.
-the furniture in the rooms smell, as already described several times, really fishy, which after a 2-week stay led, that our whole clothes to fish smell.
-minor renovations (as new curtains and new pillows ) in the rooms would the rooms comfortable make.
Nevertheless have some things dazugeführt, that we felt very much at ease: competent service, pleasant staff, everywhere faster, free Wi-Fi access ( even served movie to download), DVD and iPod possibility in the room, the size of the bathroom ( corner bath, 2 washbasin, separate toilet) and the many free sport/ ways to spend your free time.
We have 2 weeks in the à-la-carte -restaurant by the beach for lunch and dinner. Here were the atmosphere, the quality of the dishes and the service top-there is a' all inclusive' card, the after a week changed, so was the selection of the AIL inclusive -offer enough.
The hotel offers some excursions, nevertheless we took the advice of a ' beach boys' are followed and the taxi driver Mevin a very nice, informative and individual tour by the South received.
To the diving we have from a diving station from the circa 40 kilometer away tamarin Bay pick up point (a small diving center with Austrian owner), this was a much cheaper (1000 rupees per day versus 2500 Rupees at the hotel - Monopolproblem ). The Dive sites close to Tamarin Bay in any case worth seeing and the dives with Olivier were unforgettable.
In short: the hotel Tamassa is a very nice four star hotel, with good service, nice beach restaurant and lousy main restaurant. In some places needed the hotel urgently a renovation.
For a combination from beach- and active vacation was this hotel perfect for us.
During our stay were some guests on our honeymoon, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel - the main restaurant is not a 'romantic eating'. read more

Very nice hotel with accommodating staff and great choice of water sports ( in all-inclusive are pedal boats, Laserboot sailing, Canoeing, water skiing, snorkeling and glass bottom boat included). There were daily aqua gym, Volleyball, mountain bike tour ( these are however not more in ideal condition) and fitness units offered ( all inclusive). The buffet and food à la carte was very good and varied, however indian and Asian style. Also for vegetarians was always a wide selection and on demand even dishes specially prepared. In summary: relaxation, and from the always friendly and helpful however not pushy staff ... spoil read. Even in cool September (25 °C, evenings warm clothes) the hotel is and Maritius recommendable. read more

Because of the many good reviews here with HolidayCheck we have the hotel Tamassa for our first stay on Maritius chosen. Unfortunately the hotel has in many areas not kept, what we had hoped for.
The first impression from the hotel is quite good. Behind the front desk is located directly in the main pool, the 'b-bar' ( main bar), as well as the buffet restaurant. The standard-, superior -, as well as family room are located in buildings with a maximum of 12 units around the two further pools. The superior rooms are located behind the beach volley field ... in the immediate area to the beach. There are also beach restaurant, as well as the beach bar. Everything seemed on the first glance very well maintained. Disabled people or seniors may however problem with the use the pool areas have, as no pool a boarding device is available. Furthermore in many loungers the Rückenteile not more in the height adjustable, simple, because already broken.
Who all inclusive bay, gets here not the otherwise mandatory bracelet. They require all orders for beverages, as well as the use of the meal times ( exception breakfast) sign.
A larger problem is the system with the room numbers. In the four-digit numbers is the first number not-as you might expect-the residential area of, but merely the floor. This lead, that lots of guests your room not always immediately again. Furthermore are the rooms not a normal front door, but through patio doors you enter. Unwelcome guests on the own terrace are therefore not unusual. It is altogether 5 times happens, the we persons on our balcony had, what your room cannot be found.
The biggest fault of the hotel is however the service area. Here light and shade gives. The service the beach bar is not too complain about. Drinks and snacks were to the loungers serves, the ' beach boys' were always friendly and a Smalltalk not averse. The 'b-bar' could more than convincing. The service here you can than perfect. After a few days the barkeeper our example and brought, no matter what time of day we emerged, always the right drinks, without that we extra order had. Such a good service we have only to Bali and the Maldives had.
Unfortunately we can about the areas restaurant, cleaning of the rooms and perfect problemmanagement no positive feedback give.
Let's start with the main restaurant. There one goes not just walked in, but is at the entrance received and to the table. The works on the first view plush, but merely the meaning, the room number to ask. This is in the book at the entrance wiped off, and who at the same meal a second time seems, may pay. If you then took place, another waiter, asked the room number and took the drinks order. For breakfast we are during our three-week stay really twice asked, whether we have a 2. cup tea or coffee want. Typically each of apprentices, the probably the servicephilosophie of the hotel still don't know. The other employees it was no matter wether the mugs were empty-there was simply nothing more. During dinner was the picture is even more stark. Also here there was no second drinks, it was a but, immediately after the dessert plate emptied had (one was still eating), already the bill presented for signing. A smile, please or thank you-in this restaurant none. We so far in no hotel so few time for the food spent as here. Comfort, ambience-here none.
Room service/ cleaning:
Also here wants to the hotel something special and therefore the rooms twice a day made. In the daytime are the beds made, the bedspread hung up again, the towels exchanged and the room 'cleaned'. In the evening then the 2. service, where the bedspread again taken and again towels were changed. The cleaning of the rooms took place only very superficially. Here from'd for example the mirror in the bathroom area, the appeared, as if they were last at the opening of the hotel clean. On the lamps on the mirrors was a thick layer of dust. In the three weeks not once fleckenfreie bed sheets had, the curtains on window also stained and partly torn were, was therefore only on the edge mentioned.
In the evening service had the hotel at solid time or staff problem. It is not acceptable, the room service evenings at 22 o'clock always not finished yet is. And-worst of all-still comes into the room, if you extra the 'please do not disturb-sign on the door, because one already at 22 o'clock time to go to sleep.
Perfect problemmanagement/processing of complaints
Here example, us exactly happened
We'll be in the morning at 10 o'clock the rooms and feast, no electricity. The red Orientierungslampe in Kartenslot shone not more. We have the front desk called and informed. You promised us, immediately to take care of it. Assuming, that now everything into the ways led is, we have our day on the beach started. At 15 o'clock in the afternoon we were again in the room and behold-still no power. And the, although the maid this would strike needs. Well, second phone call at reception. From there the question, if we the room card in the Kartenslot put could (as we did the days before only managed, light in the room to get.). We bejahten this and pointed out, that the red active light in Kartenslot did not work. Answer: there is no red lamp in Kartenslot. You want but immediately done and immediately recall. This callback we wait today. At 15:30 o'clock -still no electricity we could the maid still seize. This then called her boss, which the message via telephone breach, that no electricity in our room and promised, that immediately someone would care. At 16 o'clock - furthermore no power-we got the third time at the front desk called and were completely amazed reaction' what? You don't have electricity? ' the rest of the conversation our side then somewhat louder led. Furthermore received the hotel the promised, that the next call not more from us, but from the travel guide would be. And only after this threat we had at 16:30 hours, so six and a half hour after the first complaint really again electricity. An apology it has of course not given. Oh-and the existing red lamp in Kartenslot was also again there.
Surprise still, the broken lamp in the shower after three weeks yet exactly was broken as on the first day and the door to the toilet only violence close. Complained we had this also already at the start our vacation.
Because of the solid problem in the service area we cannot positive Opinions other tourist here with HolidayCheck unfortunately not endorse. But it is a snapshot. Since we were there in the winter time, and thus outside of the season were there. Perhaps it looks in the high season there completely different from. Conclude by a few recommendations:
Money directly upon arrival on Maritius at the airport or on excursions for example in Port Louis exchange, but not in the hotel. The Tauschkurs in the hotel is roughly 75 per cent the official exchange rate.
By all means book all-inclusive. Bel Ombre is a fishing village and is not yet so developed touristy like for instance Flic en FLAC or Grand Baie. So you are on the services of the hotel instructed. And here are the prices without all inclusive salted. Some example, counted on an exchange rate of 40 rupees/1 Euro:
Flat water 1-liter-Flasche: 1.87 Euro
Cup of tea: 2,50 Euro
Cup coffee: 3,25 Euro

Who from the airport to the hotel runs the Maritius initially very monotonous notice. Smaller villages alternated with extensive sugar cane fields. The sugar production is next to the tourism is the largest industry on Maritius. But the island has so much more to offer. You shouldn't miss out for example the Zuckermuseum and the botanical garden in pamplemousses. On the way back to hotel then stop in Port Louis insert, the most famous stamps the world the blue penny museum to see. The hotel is very beautiful located on the south-west coast of Mauritius, in Bel Ombre.
Our superior room had view of the sea and was very nice and very clean.
The daily cleaning was perfect.
All inclusive is worthwhile because the extra charges in the hotel are very high.
3 pools there is, and it was despite high season always space. The restaurants glisten with delicious dishes and at the bar enjoyed the sunset international cocktails.
Recommendable nonetheless the spa which we times in use.
Would recommend it the island Tours the we have stayed in Germany had booked, in ... our travel agency Vacaciones from near Bielefeld. ( thanks to the travel guide that was all great organized)

i was in December 2012 for the first time in the tamassa in Mauritius and ELDR the hotel! The design is cool and modern, with original flowers Wallpaper great Colors. On the rooms docking station for there Phones and i-pods and I the bathroom are huge. There is a great disco, under the de, so that nobody will bother us and we have both by the pool, as well as in the disco so many getanztt. The hotel is on a beautiful beach. There's lots of new Deals and you will certainly never boring. read more

The drinks: if you go on all-inclusive remain, then you can just as well forget about all drinks, they are all unlovingly mixed, almost non-potablewhen considering the neighbors, for a fee, the drinks were great. (Mövenpick) Eve was total overpriced; instead of 300 $600. And not even a glass of champagne for everyone! The beach is okay, but with the neighbors are coral reefs and stones not so in the way. We spent two weeks in the tamassa and had nothing to complain about. The service was great (even on the beach and by the pool were you with drinks), the staff was always friendly and accommodating. The food was nothing we could fault. Very varied, for our taste something for everyone. If you do not want to do without his usual food at home, was at the wrong place here.
