In comparison to the regions safaga and dahab we noticed particularly the staff in the hotel on:a so much friendliness and i in Egypt yet did not experience. The impression, that only somewhat for baksheesh is, never came on.
Surprisingly the all very good english and also frequent efforts, even somewhat german to speak. The continued from the front desk to the gardener and the waiters to the local personakl the surf station. Respect!
We felt in the hotel and at the surf station felt completely comfortable - the impressive house reefs were there for us unexpected bonus.
Conclusion ... would gladly come again! read more

Sporty and relaxing-far volt action 11. trip
2 time 2 weeks lahami in the winter - this is for us the right feel program.
After almost 12 weeks absence we reached early march once again our little paradise. This time somewhat concerned, whether Horst the in comparison to december longer duration of sunshine with hotter temperatures (at noon in the sun: 41-48°c) easily tolerate would, after he december. With a violent allergic reaction had to fight! Horst was not only physically better prepared, but also with other sunscreen appointed-also searched for it on the first beach days still frequent the ... shade, but then he was courageous and everything went well. We both had no health problems and could 2 wonderful harmonic weeks.
We were as dear friends and cordiality accompanied us pleasant throughout the stay. Thank you very much for that.
In the hotel were extensive renovations: the solar panels on the roofs installed and the dining room gets a new appearance from the floor up-everything quiet and mysterious behind white temporary walls and colourful cloth hidden, dining was under a gorgeous glossy polished tent.
The rich varied buffets were delicious-enough for us fruit and vegetables, a lot of vegetables, aromatic coffee luckily still in airpots. We put worth on hygienic presentation without much schnick schnack and a clean cosy sitting on the outdoor terrace with infinitely vast views over flower gardens, the sea and the mountains. The large number of pigeons was less disturbing than the december. And the katzenfamilie traveling counted 3 tiny recruits.
This time could more birds to be observed: schafstelze, hoopoe, spornkiebitze, bluebird, swallows the newcomers to name but a few.
The wind blew the midmonth a few days very strong, rushing waves left the sea under the sun lounger splash and a large tauchsafariboot anchored east of bananenriff right proximity to the beach! Otherwise we could 1 week an extensive neumondebbe enjoy, if the wind and the gorgeous clear unterwasserschauspielen with whitetip reef shark, eagle rays, turtles and the many other interesting unterwasserbewohnern.
Our sunny spacious apartment loved, mornings at 7 a. m. on the terrace showed the thermometer 20-25°c.
Once again, we were with private transfer (about 2 hours) on the way, side the street nothing new, still large rohbauruinen without visible construction and trucks-, bus and car queues at the few gas stations. The statement: diesel is in short supply. Few towering overloaded trucks chugged toward sudan.

In terms of size, a pleasant and manageable hotel, with huge rooms.
In the rooms including bathroom, could also the doors to be cleaned, there is some marks.

A great hotel, wonderful staff and management. Very nice garden area. Food of the finest quality. Cleanliness is very largely written. Christmas. - and new year's buffet a dream. Great leisure group. For us there was only two small criticism points. The furniture should be a little freshening and the beef was mostly tough. But with the lush choice of meals rather negligible. For snorkeling and divers a paradise. Only a shopping store with outrageous prices, but not to the hotel itself belongs. The manager mrs Ursula w. is a very competent woman, which everything super in the grasp had. ... The long ride from masa alam to the hotel ( approximately 2 hours) by the quality of the hotel more than repealed. read more

We were after the partially modest reviews other vacationers very positively surprised!
The food is very diverse and there is something for everyone there.
The rooms are pretty huge, the hotel is in a fantastic garden area, very nice and large beach, marine life and reef are unique.
The staff are very friendly and the german hotel manager mrs w. met the wishes of the guests as good as possible.
We stayed in more luxurious hotels with better furniture and even better food but we have also clearly pay more.
All in all we are with the quality and the ... price-performance of the hotel very satisfied. read more

Sporty and relaxing-far volt action 10. trip
After a few years not travel, a famil. Nursing case, our 1st possible visit to lahami, for the 10. time ( 20 time Egypt).
We began at 4 december for 2 weeks. Were a bit concerned because of worrying political news from Egypt and some of the negative reviews.
A private transfer, directly about the hotel booked, brought us easily and quickly to the south. On the way we saw no construction giant shell-resorts and the road to shalateen was almost fahrzeugleer.
In the hotel greeted us like friends. Many of the good ... diligent and nice employees had their jobs and some of the regular guests recognized us also still.
The large wonderfully kept blooming garden fascinated me immediately.
We stayed in our favorite apartment with the gorgeous red Bougainvillea at the house corner, the two desired gardenbeds on the terrace, new mosquito repellent-sliding door, otherwise, we found the estimated quality and clean space, which we since many years know.
I agree with the extensive positive evaluation of Anke & Peter (november 12) almost invariably follow, except: the spa area we didn't try it out, but we can on the mobilisation of the doctor good reports. Horst suffered on a very violent allergic reaction, he was well cared for and looked after, but had many days the otherwise so beloved sun shade.
I had no problems, could in the 28 °c warm sea unalloyed the extensive reefs along snorkelling, unlimited beach walks or wind with great views, reading, dream and discuss.
The food tasted good, we love fruit and vegetables as vegetables, it was for breakfast offered, first class from of the hotel bakery, spanish omelet, aromatic coffee in airpots and many local specialities. The zutraulichen pigeons have given us a little trouble, one of us was always on the table our settings to defend, the birds had no fears of contact and interest in our breakfast!
Some cats know, where it smelled good, it tasted also, if you at least the pigeons shoo would. But humans and animals live here peacefully side by side.
Only a heuschreckenschwarm, the one at noon on the lahamiparadies /attentions which make wanted, with united forces distributed!
We say mrs w. and her team sincerely thank you for a wonderful secure holiday and will gladly our tradition ' lahami 2 times 2 weeks in the winter' resume. read more

I really liked the hotel. It is in any case the 4 stars. But you have to be aware, that it outside of the hotel nothing else. The hotel is at the moment the southernmost. The area is wüstenartig and not populated. Everything, including the water must be delivered to.
The complex is tidy and has a beautiful garden, the however only by the daily pour survived.
The guests shall ( zuzmindest in the november) from italians, swiss, french and german too many in the retirement age altogether.
There is an italian animation team. The animation is however very decent. ...
The food and the selection is good. There are always also arabic dishes. Because the hotel mainly italian guests frequented, is the food this group aligned (white bread, various freshly prepared pasta).
The hotel is ideal for divers, snorkelers (beautiful nearby reef) and surfers/kite surfers. Motorized water sports luckily not.
I recommend booking all inclusive, as the hotel limited and the price of drinks partly very high (glass egyptian wine, quality trinbarer easier table wine 5 €, water a l €2,5, local beer 0,5 liter 4 €).
The prices for the spa are given higher wages in Egypt too high (for example balinese massage about 50 €). read more

... And the nearby riff for snorkeling is brilliant. Particularly the corals were overwhelming. And this is what hot, because we were in the last 15 years not only 15 time on the red sea, but also 8 time on the Maldives. read more

Hotel with perfect nearby reef for snorkeling and relaxation, nothing for party, nightlife or culture trips!
The hotel lies regarding infrastructure in the middle of nowhere in the deep south, 3 hours bus transfer from Marsa Alam ( asphalt street), is worthwhile but absolutely, if you want a super underwater world and relaxation searches.
Perfect to relax ( seafront-rooms with great sea view)
And above all at the very nice nearby reef to snorkeling and the wonderful underwater world of the red sea to enjoy. The nearby riff are really several reefs with different character.
Just a few meters from ... the shore you can see a lot of but also several hour tours are possible.
Beautiful corals and very lots of fish. My high expectations succeeded!
A week was too short, there it also times 1,2 days wind and a bit waves can give, the snorkeling difficult and the view can limit. Recommend 2 where, if the budget was possible, then good combination from snorkeling and relaxation.
With wide tours something condition and strömungskenntnis necessary and safety only in group recommendable. Have but also as traveling alone contact groups found ( lots of italians).
2-day trip to sataya dolphinreef was perfect: with a bit of luck and with appropriate behavior the streifendelfine quite close, a top-experience for snorkelers (guarantees can it in wild animals logically not).
Food all inclusive I enjoyed, wide choice, also salad and so on could without hygienic effects be eaten. Tap water comes from desalination plant and is no drinking water, for drinking and brushing your teeth bottled water use ( in all-inclusive endless supplies)
In short: nice hotel right next to the sea with perfect nearby reef! Well traveled guests designated this reef as top class. read more

We have already been on several occasions at hotel lahami bay. The nearby riff is very nice and diverse. As snorkelers are many, also several hour tours from the beach from possible. We had nowhere and this is for us again and again a reason for lahami, our little piece of paradise, in spite of the long transfer time from the Marsa Alam airport. For people, neither diving yet snorkeling the hotel is may be rather nothing. read more

Almost unanimous opinion of the guests. Before 4 years it was still great, now everything is in need of renovation. Chairs, beds and tables, everything was worn out and partly. Broken. The food very moderate, gave, hardly fish, no seafood. Breakfast, salad buffet and pasta was all right you can forget about the rest. Resort is 80% of italians speak. Beach chairs from 6 o'clock in the early occupied.
Nearby reef very nice, for divers and snorkelers. Driving directions from airport almost 3 hours long-standing guests thought, for 4 years it goes with all downhill. Better all inclusive book. The ... drinks are besides that too expensive and rather badly, we only had booked full board. read more

The hotel is actually located quite in the south, but it is worth it again and again. Am now for the 2. time and am very pleased. There is really everything your heart desires. The food is good, the waiters are unique, the rooms are huge and have all lateral sea view. There are also some with a direct view of the sea. It is a small hotel, and this is also good sunday There were mainly italians, but also swiss, austrians and french. The nearby riff and everything that belonged to it is absolutely great and everyone come at ... its expense. I can negative reviews not understand, because if one so far from the shot, you have to from time to time reckon, to short-term bottlenecks comes, but in 2-3 days always fixed. People who about this hotel complain, have never with the country and people, and are probably also with itself and the environment dissatisfied. I am very lots of people there have, some are already for 10'. Time in hotel lahami, if it was so bad, then there would not be so many vacationers back. The majority are there for ixten time and i will come again. A word to the hotel management. Madam Wolf is really for everyone, welcomes every guest and adopted every. It is really like a mother. It is already heavily impressive, as they committed and above all only with men to do, i would like to see a copy. I personally prefer the hat. The garden is wonderful, with attention to detail, and i have normal and am now here and scale, of course in the winter in the apartment, besides that no chance that is clear. read more

The area is very extensive, in particular the trek to the beach section, the reefs for snorkeling at the next is. The reefs are however mostly excellent and the diversity the fish in the reconstruction terms, however puts you in the water so some kilometer back! Nevertheless very worth seeing, spectacular in the red sea!
The hotel lies on the southern outpost of Egypt alone in the desert; no touristic environment. The Italian entertainment in the evening was bearable.
The bedouin tent with shisha and tea in the evening was unfortunately under construction and closed; unfortunately!
The quality and quantity ... of the reefs worth the visit and the long journey of 2a 3 hours from Marsa Alam. read more

Traveled as friends as a couple / all-in
- hotel:
Flat weißgestrichene two-story bungalows with spacious clean rooms are organized on extensive grounds, partly. With direct, partly. Lateral and partially. Not any view of the sea, partly. With a terrace, partly. With a balcony, surrounded and enclosed by a beautifully designed garden area. The pool area is nice and big, a pool bar offers the possibility also in the water sitting cocktails to order.

As I many guests experienced, the whole quality of the hotel in the last few years strong neglected.
Furthermore is probably ... to mention, that tourist from other resorts, which we on the way back to the airport by bus collecting glasses, reported, that the underwater world unique was, that it was dolphin and turtles to see, but however friendly and accommodating staff great food prepared. And these supposedly cheaper.
Annoying.
The hotel lahamy bay resort I recommend ( for the price) not further. Egypt - berenice is as divers wonderful. read more

We were also in September also the 2. the lahami and vote our ' previous' to, that the hotel already somewhat older is. It commits this year be -year-old exist.
However we have the impression, that our 'previous reviewer' their vacation in a completely other hotel spent there, than we. Why this impression have: please read our reviews in the individual categories.
Hotel lahami bay, a smaller hotel with about rooms. The hotel has a generous laid out beautiful garden. Outside of the hotel is only desert. The rooms are big enough, bathroom/ shower from the toilet separately.
All the ... rooms are with a small fridge ( with mini bar; not included in the all inclusive -package)
And a tv equipped ( ARD/ ZDF/ RTL/ RTL II – swiss variant).
The bed is huge, the severity of the mattress is matter of taste.
Room in the upper floor have a balcony, in the basement a terrace to the
Garden.
By the way garden: the so beautiful clean and, it must naturally regularly be watered: what is happening here and really thankfully partly with clarified abwassern, we suspect. No reason to panic: the odor disappears immediately after the pour is complete.
The hotel by 3 tour operators occupied: Neckermann/ Thomas cook, manta-travel and a Italian organizers.
During our stay the hotel was good mood. The guests came from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France. We felt prior to with the risk of our Italian friends exposed to make sure, that the hotel not by them (in volume) is dominated, because we just silent like. Five star read more
