The Victoria Falls hotel is a absolute must! Here history lived. The reception (duty is the hit) was exceedingly friendly and you get on the way to the room information about the hotel. Unfortunately our room (87) a small disappointment. The room rather small, the air conditioning should be urgently exchanged, since it was so loud, that you can hardly eye could close (despite ear plugs ) the tv was also defective, you wanted him fix it, just as we the room entering wanted. We simply declined and declined to this programme. In the bathroom there was the fenstergriff be ... canceled, so you could the window not close (the spiders were excited! And the spiders were really large) despite all i recommend the hotel, because it beautiful and the view from the terrace on the Victoria Falls bridge is sensantionell. Dinner was very good, also the breakfast buffet. This left nothing to be desired. The salmon was so tender, it dwindled on the tongue. Great! The way to the Victoria cases was terrible. We are in the late afternoon to Victoria Falls park started. The entrance Dollar 30,- is at all not justified. You could walk on wet and slippery because always parallel to the cases and is (understandably) not much. Despite rain shelter we were through and through wet. On the way the bridge (pass not forget, as the border) is permanently by traders following. My sneakers had it all done and up to the gate of the hotel the demand for the shoes so massive, that we completely stressed ever faster walked. The situation was just terrible! I would not again go along. When i my shoes (understandable) do not take off wanted, was massive for money. read more

After a safari through the southern Afrika we chose the Victoria Falls hotel as a conclusion our trip.
The hotel is a old, venerable house, in the year 1904 built with about 160 rooms.
It still has a touch of colonial flair, you feel somehow, like in the museum.
Great view to the falls, well-kept complex, in walking distance the waterfalls and city.
There is a direct on foot on the garden to the falls, but many pushy salespeople are traveling there.
Excellent pool area with pool bar, also recommendable- also for passing trade of the hotel,- the afternoon ... tea,
On the stanley terrace with terrific view.
The service we found efficient and friendly.
The room with a tv, kl, telephone, safe, hair dryer, kettle, was medium sized, properly in the facilities, reached but not at the level of the remaining hotels.
As absolute shortcoming, the air conditioning in our room, almost as old as the hotel.,
Just terribly noisy.
The breakfast buffet was from the choice and quality convincing perfect.
For dinner we chose the jungle juntion the dinner buffet for 35 $per person-very good, fine international cuisine.
A local entertainment in the evening was also offered.
In short: simply an experience. read more

The historic hotel despite some lack an experience. The furnishing told by past splendour. For current standards of such a hotels, but some deficit. Inappropriate and disturbing: a shower curtain for the bathtub! ( disgusting) incomprehensible, that despite full occupancy the livingstone diningroom closed on sundays, unfortunately.
The short walk to the entrance of the victoria falls is a spiessrutenlaufen. We recommend urgently, a escort from the hotel procedure. The probably illegal traders a siege are very unpleasant, but as soon as a companion is, disappear in the bushes. Probably that is harmless, but we felt already very harried.
The ... staff are always very helpful, I missed my camera and shortly before our departure, was me after intensive search of all, brought! Thanks! read more

A beautifully located spacious hotel complex with beautiful old interior.
The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful.
The evening food in the hotel terrace was of a high quality and atmospheric a delight.
The possibility, within the hotel to parade, is very good.
Disturbing it will only, if you the hotel complex left, to the Voctoriafällen to go. They are from local vendors besieged. read more

Traditional high tea on the terrace of the hotel with a view of the perfect lawn there to Victoria-in case bridge on the Zambesi and the constantly rising waterhaze drives, is simply unforgettable. You can stroll through the almost 'back exit' of the garden the 'input' (spot) the cases and later by the pool relaxing or the barbecue enjoy. Also evenings is stylish to the physical well-being catered for. In the 'Livingston room' seem time (also air?) altogether date-much more relaxing, as well as 'open air' is but also. Really spacious rooms are - apart from the suites-expected rare. The ... bathrooms are generally 'old fashioned'. At the latest breakfast buffet this is however incidental. Selection and (-) view are' of the finest quality'. You visit the cases on the zimbabwe - side, the Victoria in case hotel probably definitely first choice. read more

The Victoria Falls hotel is a very nice laid out hotel. Nice gardens, beautiful pool, great food and great view in the direction of the Victoria Falls. The rooms are very rustic with dark wood equipped. Generally, the hotel was very chic, there are changing rooms by the pool and a pianist in the lobby. The buffet at the evening meal is very delicious, but with 34 US Dollar was quite expensive. read more

After some mixed reviews of the hotel and warning against Zimbabwe we were looking forward to the hotel. We found it finally was fabulous. The building, the furnishing of the common areas, the rooms, the service and also the food were really good. However, you will experience the problems that the country is charged at the left of the hotel area (for example, on the way to the water fall). That is why you should really stay in the hotel, the water falls to look at (the rip-off price entrance: 30 $!) and a bit of adventure through the package ... (our tip: the lions walk). A must: high tea on the terrace. Nice and better it is not in London in the top hotels. read more

The hotel überzeut alone with its incredible location, no matter where you are in the hotel you can hear the sound of the falls anywhere. The view from the terrace is simply great. Breakfast is served in the restaurant jungle junction (in buffet form) there is something for every taste.
Important to know, that in Zimbabwe only US dollars be accepted as a means of payment or just the Visa card. Generally, everything quite expensive, just laid out for tourists.
The rooms are a little old and could stand a renovation. But they were always clean and nicely decorated.
The ... service is great, the staff was super friendly and very helpful.
Trips can be booked directly in the hotel. read more

We undertook in August 2010 a tour in the South Africa, after Zimbabwe led. One hears so a lot of Mugabe and his hungry country.
in this part of Zimbabwe could not optically complain. On the contrary, the Einfahrtsbogen promises the entry in a British world in the middle in Africa. Bell boy with Tropenhut and in the lobby Memorialien at Stanley and Livingstone underline the first impression. Two one has each edl ausstaffierte salons equipped. Before you can be taken on the patio dining. The prices baffle.
around the 15 euros around one already gets tenderloins, fish dishes or ... grilled. In Vienna, in such venues a lot more from. Fascinated the inner courtyard with water lily pond and the English garden. The view from there extends to the Zambezi and the bridge to Zambia. The spray can be visually identified.
the rooms however was rather simple and not spectacular, but the actual sensation is the crisp hotel in colonial style. read more

The hotel is quite pushy British colonial stiff. The can you like or not. The staff is super attentive but also extremely bogged down in what has been happening. On the one hand, you can hardly even the head of the chair by the pool later, without someone immediately to help. On the other hand, there was no possibility in the evening to eat only one little thing. either on the room for 18 sandwich or buffet in the restaurant for dollar 36 United States dollar.HCLFHLImmutability of this is made perfectly clear at the front desk to feel.HCLFHLat ... all when you travel disaster and also at departure at the airport a bit the feeling that, in Zimbabwe are tourists uncomfortable and not very welcome. read more
