Hotel Imperial Boathouse Samui^{(4 stars)}

We had a superior room booked. The big drawback was the small bathroom. This was strongly worn out and in need of renovation. The joints and the mirror in the were dirty. The closets musty and broken. A minibar was available. As well as an airco and kettle. Really large terrace was with two chairs, a table, and a clothes line. A fan and light could on the terrace be connected. A hair dryer was in the room available. The bed was comfortable and firm. Here is clearly the better premier room recommendable. This has a new renovated bathroom. Otherwise differ the rooms hardly any.

We had booked accommodation with breakfast, this was very varied and plentiful. Miss we had nothing. From different bread and rolls, cold cuts, cereals, yoghurt and fresh omelets everything was represented. Of course there was also fresh fruits. Local soups and pasta rice dishes were also to choose from. It always tasted well. Besides the cocktails at the beach bar. The were tasted very watery and tasteless. At noon we ate little things at the beach, from the small movables cookshops. There were then from locals thais mangos, spring rolls, and maize offered. The staff made through the bank a motivated and dedicated impression. The foreign language skills were good. The service made a good job. General is the size from the hotel as: large, to describe. The 3 story building and individual boathouses are in a beautiful tropical garden, so a the size not noticeable. The spacious lobby, as well as the bar and the open dining area are airy and nicely decorated. In spite of the the street was here, a quiet and cozy breakfast possible. Because we only breakfast had (we love it as rather typical food), we are at the beach or in the adjoining restaurants eat out. As mentioned the grill house it was especially good, but also the rest. At the beach (left from the hotel at the beach 'crystal' and a left at the end of the beach) were very good. Sharpness of the food: here you need only in order to say.

As we hadn't booked an all inclusive, was the transfer to the hotel but also not a problem, taxi at the airport available, about 12 minutes until to the hotel. Beach: it is important, where the room is, however a few steps through the nice hotel and you are already at the beach, chairs by the pool are sufficiently available, annoying as always the loungers owner. There are restaurants at the beach and in the street for the hotel (grill house was very good). Shopping: not very excessively, but shaweng is in 10 minutes with a tuk-tuk or taxi to reach, as is very busy.

The friendliness of the staff is really great, although not everyone perfect english (german should only not at all expect!) , but you can also with hands and feet inform itself, nobody must be ashamed and every thai is endeavored, the desire of the score to understand. The cleaning of the rooms was spotless, we usually 20 baat per day as a tip.

The hotel has here and there a few faults (lack peeling off in some places, a few small missing tiles in the pool), but is nevertheless in good condition. The friendliness and the helpfulness of the staff the twice more than made up for it. We had a renovated room with a tv, bathroom with a shower and large bath tub, in which even 2 persons fit, queen size bed, tv, safe, free wi-fi even in the room free of charge. The breakfast is plentiful, toast, sausage, cheese, jam, cereal, yogurt, fruit (-salad), sausages, baked beans, noodle soup, eggs, omelets, coffee, tea. We have also already besserklassige breakfast buffet seen, but we were very satisfied. The guest structure is mixed: about a half german speaking guests, the other russians, french, Italy and asian guests. 50% are retired, otherwise families with children and couples, hardly any singles.

From the airport to the hotel one is in 15 minutes. The hotel is near to the beach, a maximum of 200 meters. Choeng mon is a rather quiet place, no nightlife and no noise from planes. But there is only a few meters away from the hotel several restaurants. In our vacation we almost every restaurant and our favorite was the orchid, there there is really great food for little money -especially recommendable the curry dishes were always offered. The next larger town is Chaweng, about 10 kilometers away. There is a bustling nightlife, there are countless restaurants and bars, also McDonald's and Burger King are there represented. The travel costs indicated coach about 80 baat per person. We were glad, that we in the quiet choeng mon and not in Chaweng the vacation spent.

We can only about the premium rooms and honeymoon rooms write something. The rooms are both relatively large and nicely furnished. The premium room has a separate bathroom with a window to the sleeping area. In the honeymoon room stands in the room a large bathtub (cool) and the sink. The hotel is definitely in a great condition. It is well maintained, with taste and attention equipped/decorated. You should from a premium room up book. The standard rooms are probably not so great. Our friends had a premium room and were very satisfied so that. We had a abgrate on a honeymoon room and the room was simple and moving brilliant. On the rooms every day 2 bottles of water inclusive. In the hotel there is a pool table and 2 free internet computers's. furthermore there is also a small gym. The most of the guests german. Otherwise some frenchmen, italians a few russians there.

The hotel is about 10 minutes away from airport. But you can hear the aircraft noise. The hotel a clean beach and around midday arrive on the beach local and sell fruit, vegetables and meat kabobs. The rooms unfortunately in a bad state. Our first room was a catastrophe. The holzböcken completely scratched and unpleasant. In the bathroom mold and toilet seat, in an absolutely unacceptable condition. Uneinladender than the train station, maybe they just renew. After we the room complained about it, we were two different rooms shown, both only marginally better. As we thought, that all rooms so, we opted for a the room decided. The room is well equipped. Unfortunately, there was mold in the bathroom, as well as in the bedroom. The bed, and the pillows very hard. Air conditioning much too loud. The cleaning of the rooms rather bad. Time, the soil was wiped not. Sheets felt never changed in the 10 days. Shower cubicle was not even deseamed and the despite complaint, which the mould probably explains... Towels were always to other times and always another number of, time 6 times four and once not any.

Imfrühstücksrestaurant there were always free tables and they were clean and always frischgedeckt. The variety of dishes very good. There was actually everything, breads, fresh fruits, fresh eggs, after wish freshly prepared and thai food. The buffet was always clean and always got re-filled. The restaurant at the beach is the taste and service good, but very small portions, therefore excessive prices. A mini césar salad costs 320 Bhat.

The check in was very pleasant. We are against 9 o'clock in the morning and still got the same a room. We were sit down asked got a fruit juice and everything else completed the reception. The cleaning of the rooms is average. The staff are very nice, however, the english rather limited. Our room complaint was very professional and courteous manner, even if the result of not very satisfying was. Which so not at all was, was the toilet by the pool/ beach, which was always was dirty and from the staff occupied.

If you stay here the large animation searches, is here wrong. Free kayaking. In the hotel there is a table tennis, and billiards table. Also a small gym.

We had us for this hotel because of the good ratings, however, we didn't understand. The hotel is already getting old. The complex is nice and the beach quiet and clean. Great, that one everywhere free wi-fi,, even if partly with bad reception. Guest structure in the average probably 38 years and many families.

The beach is very nice and clean. Actually very quiet, if it weren't for the jet skis would be. Outside of the hotel there are supermarkets and restaurants and some shops, but unfortunately not much going on for strolling and drink rather unsuitable. On wednesdays there is a small market, the is very pleasant.

Safe, minibar, kettle and gear are as usual in Thailand in the room available. Also a small cosy couch.

The hotel has a restaurant directly on the beach. We are also here the prices very reasonable. The view in the evening from the beach bar on the illuminated neighboring island koh phangan and is very romantic.

The staff's hospitality is unique. At the front desk and in the service area is relatively good english spoken. Our dvd player in the room sent only black-and-white. We gave this evening at the front desk and when we from the meal came back, was the player already changed. So fast we could not expected. The cleaning of the rooms always worked satisfactory. At the towel edition by the pool will be the appropriate number of the desired towels and the room number. You will from the staff to the desired beach chair accompanied and then the towels hung up on us. This service we had even in 5 star hotels in Thailand not yet! In conclusion our thailandreise we choose every year for the imperial 'boathouse'. The rooms are of course not new anymore, but everything is available. The balcony is huge and very comfortable with the 2 chairs with upholstery. The view in the private landscaped gardens is very nice. The rooms are spotless alright and also during our year's stay were some rooms newly painted and renovated. Breakfast is more than adequate, anyway i wonder always, what people have to have breakfast at home, the a brunchähnliches breakfast a little varied be described. The scope of evaluation, the christmas dinner and too expensive ', we can not understand. The boathouse is one of the few hotels in Thailand, by christmas dinner not obligatory book must. You can on the ground to decide for themselves. Per person you paid this year without drinks cost 50 Euro for a 5-course dinner with show and musikumrahmung! The food we found very tasteful and well stocked. We find, that the value for money here is true.

The location is ideal. 15 minutes away from the airport with infrastructure right in front of the hotel door. 7-eleven, mini-market, several restaurants, but we didn't have one of the great call. Best was still the steak restaurant right next to the hotel pleased. The night market in fishermen village every friday is worth seeing. Thursday is a night market in mänam, but much smaller.
