Great hotel in a great location. A few minutes walk away is the Placa de espania, with a metro station and bus stop. Very clean, huge great room with a huge bathroom. We had overnight accomodation with a very delicious breakfast. read more

The Hotel Ayre gran via a great location only few minutes on foot from the Placa Espanya away. All areas are very modern and always clean kept.
The locked breakfast was very good for a city hotel, there was nothing left to ask for. There were different fruits, pastries or confectionery, spanish sausage & cheese, several marmelade, cereal, muesli, yogurt, as well as scrambled egg/fried egg, bacon and sausages. Unfortunately was the scrambled eggs mostly lukewarm, tasted however very good and thank god no instantei! To drink there was freshly squeezed orange juice, water, nespresso pads, normal filter coffee, tea ..., as well as sparkling wine.
On arrival we immediately said, that we a quiet room want, which we then also without any problems got. The room is to the inner courtyard and quiet, only the sky could not really good see. In the room there is a safe, flat tv, hair dryer, as well as a mini bar with water free of charge stocked. Unfortunately was the water not again filled up. ARD is the only german television program, however we insist on a city journey anyway no value.
In the room i have however also a few negatives to report. The mattresses were quite hard, so my wife every morning with back pain wake had. The toilet seat was yellowed, however was the probably not at the cleaning rather because of the age. When showering there was again and again differences in the water temperature and water pressure of the shower head could be more water hand over.
Altogether is this hotel, especially because of the good location, the friendly staff, as well as good breakfast without exception recommendable. Only the negatives in the room a little review this hotel.

The hotel is actually super, i think just a pity the windows only open and not to go.
And in case you tv wanted to watch, there was de channels only ARD and ZDF – somewhat a pity.
But otherwise everything was right!
Public transport were in the direct vicinity and a shopping center. read more

The room warsgtes very warm. After the very hot heating in the bathroom it cooled down not from. With a außentemoeratur of during the day 22 degrees we had a constant room temperature of an estimated 26 degrees. Left only the schlüsselkartenabhängige air conditioning runterregulieren. Apart from that a ideal hotel for a city trip, centrally located, with a short distance to the public transport. The extensive breakfast let the day great start. read more

The hotel is centrally located at the Playa del Mogan. Nearby there is a big shopping center, where you details food. The hotel is from the outside a black modern box. We had a room at the back. It was so quiet. Unfortunately but you could only a small part of the window folds out. Inner courtyard means of four pages of the hotel surrounded, directly opposite was another back of the hotel ( very close ), so that were nice the rooms could see. Above is a lid on it, so that one actually no fresh air in the ... room get. The room was nice and big and modernly furnished. The bed was however very hard. The bathroom was large, but lacked in shelf space. The Rubber Grommets the shower were totally filthy, apart from that everything was very clean. The breakfast was good, however the room is very strong air-conditioned, so that after a short time way too cold is. We could only for 2 nights reserve and were glad, that we into another hotel move could. Recommended only with restrictions read more

The hotel is very central the PL. Espanya. metro, buses and Aero bus in immediate walking distance. Also as a starting point for the '-foot-conquest' of Hausberbergs montjiuc outstanding suitable.
We had a room with nice view to via Grande and PL. Espany. However loud despite sound proofing. A längerses opening small kippfensterchen was not to think. Luckily worked the air conditioning well, it was even during our absence (ecologically: well). However for sleeping it was too loud.
The staff were friendly and eager to help. The breakfast enough, even with a lot of fresh fruit and genuine orange juice. ... However for several days little varied.
The hotel is recommendable for persons, the persistent traffic noise to sleep to be able and the either wärmeunempfindlich or the permanent air conditioning and cooler Berieselungsluft good sleep. We recommend not to go there, as we disappointed were, despite explicit desire to quiet rooms nevertheless a supposedly quiet to the roadside to have.
Small tip: we had the impression, that the rates weekly modified-but in the just taken place feast 'La Merce' located. read more

Altogether it may the location forth not at all better, the airport-express -bus stops almost on the doorstep ( perhaps 100 meters on foot) and the metro-station Placa Espania is a transportation hub. The hotel is very modernly equipped and on lots of guests designed. We can not complain at all, it was absolutely perfect for the, what we intended, in other words Barcelona visit. The breakfast buffet was very diverse, delicious and for its price really good ( for example Serrano -ham, fresh fruits, yoghurt, good coffee machine etc.). Evenings there are however only a art snack offer ..., I voted in favor of a fine dinner there was nothing really can find, but since one is anyway on the way. Absolute highlight, in the evening the light -music-fountain in walking neighborhood-hammer. read more

The room to the inner courtyard are nice and quiet. Since we much on the way were played no role, that the room to the inner courtyard was dark. Was wonderfully quiet for the central location on a main road. Value for money reasonable. Breakfast reasonable. read more

Around the in short after a week at the beginning to make: only the location is very good and suitable for a city visit. But only then, if you at night gladly on concrete night, despite ohropax not problems with extremely loud noise from the street ( on the 8th floor mind you!) and ambulance-sirens, as well as ruthless guests whilst sleeping have, in a somewhat dated large shower cubicle with much too small shower head showers-and for breakfast, as well as to all remaining times in the hotel in the draft a rather stickige air spreads air conditioning lodgings ... want.
The beds are betonhart, really uncomfortable, we have at home and abroad had. In addition the night noise, if you a room to the street side. The hotel has 9 floors, but even on the 8th floor it was at night hardly bearable-with ear plugs in the ears mind you. Because the windows are only double glazed; at best on the ground floor - close breakfast room-could use a triple glazing installed. There you don't hear anything from the street. The small window to the street only a tiny gap wide open, so is airing not at all to think. Day in, day out, and often at night-one is on the air conditioning rely on. Without airconditioning the air is immediately stuffy (like by the way also the hallways of the hotel very stickig were ); with air-conditioning is at night in a unpleasant wind. Result: a substantial neck and rachenentzündung! So a great stay, the tone is, that the breakfast room also fully air-conditioned. We sat here several times in an icy draught, which one hardly escape can.
By the way: A room to the inner courtyard is no inside tip, as often guests written. The courtyard is covered, also fully air-conditioned. The tray is very narrow, allowing you to every opportunity in opposite room can look. Well, at night might be a little quiet - but when of the airconditioning hardly for more than one or for two days recommendable!
Breakfast: who the breakfast only in the hall in the breakfast room logs in, and to the room to write leaves, is charged per person three Euro more. It costs 15 Euro per person book the breakfast already at arrival for several days at the front desk, guests receive coupons for 12 Euro per person those differences in calculation in hotel guests is hardly comprehensible. So we paid for the first breakfast the 15 Euro, less later. The selection of dishes is extremely limited and well arranged, the presentation of the limited at least acceptable. There is convenient no variation, but every, really every day, the same. Coffee only in a moderate temperate form available, you have to help yourself. For a hotel, the 4.5 stars (apparently even) gives, absolutely impossible. Only with a nespresso -machine ( a mind you for all of the guest!) it was possible, enjoyable coffee to receive. The preparation of teas is only with this machine possible-because heißwaser does not exist. Only a pot of lukewarm water on a back burner. This is at best 3 stars, never but the standards of an upscale hotel! Also the tables -for a few exceptions ( when plates missing)-not cleared. Very bad and unattentive service in this house! Champagne bottles are ready, but generally not at all opened. The rolls very feast and hardly a benefit; hardly selection. ( it is different, as the baker in the nearby shopping center 'arena'.) long waiting periods with the coffee; no saftauswahl (only orange juice from concentrate ) no variation with sweet particles and so on boredom purely. Very lots of asians for breakfast; with this in mind also the offer.
Front desk: moderately friendly, way too weak manned, only a small counter. At least were all wishes, the prior were expressed, be taken into account. For the strange price structure for breakfast but it was not pointed out.
Room: noticeably run-down; poor hygiene in the shower ( grimy rubber grommets and so on; unpractical was-instead of sliding door). At least daily cleaning of the rooms, the halfway worked. Flat screen tv, but only with a German program ( ARD) in moderate quality. Extremely hard beds. No rain shower, as ausgelobt, but a normal head on a pole. Poor air ventilation possibility; working, but rather unhealthy air conditioning. Loud. Night dips the slamming of doors other guests.
Once again clearly our realization: as a starting point for sightseeing the hotel is very good; but the remaining service- and room-shortcomings mean, that we this hotel not recommend with a good conscience -and even not again would book. The neck and rachenentzündung (by unhealthy air conditioning ), as well as the extremely poor sleep, but also a disappointing breakfast, are our reasons for this review. read more

The hotel is great at the public transportations angeschlosen. Aerobus, buses and the subway is right' around the corner'. Because the hotel right on the main street is it from the front never really silent. The rush hour starts daily at o'clock and takes up in the evening. Middle size of the hotel with international audience. Room well equipped, but partly already visible signs of wear. Room to the street are from 07:00 A. M. of mo-fr loud. It is cleaned daily.
Breakfast buffet oK, but not comparable with German standard the star category. After a couple of days it was very monotonous, but for a city break for a few days completely okay. read more

For a city break the hotel is completely reasonable it is located at a central point, from there you can well with the hopp off hopp on buses drive and everywhere back. Barcelona is a very nice city. So now the hotel has a very small front desk at the directly the bar and the breakfast area adjacent to it. The furnishing is modern however very simple and a bit worn out and in certain places could be more cleaned (glasses, lift). The rooms against are clean and spacious ( very large showers). The breakfast is good and is always ... filled up. The prices at the bar as in Barcelona expensive. read more
