Chateau Varennes^{(3 stars)}

The Chateau is a small, cozy hotel, situated in a rural, quiet location. The next larger town with a train station (Combs La Ville Quincy) is a few kilometers away from the Chateau. From there, you have a great connection to Paris (about 1/2 hour travel time). Whoever wants to make excursions in the closer proximity of the region Ile de France can go there very conveniently by train, or rent a car in Brie Comte Robert. The staff of the hotel is extremely helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, German is not spoken, but knowledge of English definitely helps. The hotel ... offers to pick you up and to bring you to the train station (when traveling by train) for extra charge. All in all a very nice vacation which we combined with a stay in Paris for several days. We also took advantage of the location of the Chateau in order to explore the surroundings of Paris. read more
