The rooms were spacious and very well furnished. free safe, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchenette. Bathroom immaculate.

Our room with a fully furnished Kirchenette. So we were partly self catering. A breakfast room is on the lower ground floor, a restaurant and a bar on the ground floor. They were busy but we did not use it. There are in Water Tower place and countless restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity. Not to mention the Cheesecake Factory in the John Hancock Center. There is not only the legendary cheesecake but everything you expect at a very good restaurant. However it was always full. You have to wait for a table often about a 30 minute walk.

We had booked on a room only basis. Doorman & bellboy are like a at the front desk and carrying and procurement of taxis behlflich. The rooms were always pünltlich cleaned and neat.

The rooftop pool area is a little roof garden with sun loungers. As well as a small gym on the top floor.

The LKahe Michigan is a few minutes walk away, as well as the Nichigan Avenue (magnificient mile) with all the attractions and shops. The shopping Centert "Water Tower place" is diagonally gegenüver. From John Hancock Tower is only about 200 meters walk. Better than a hotel actually impossible.

The location and availability of the hotel is very good, right behind the Hancock Tower. The lobby is old -English decorated, an ATM is in the hotel, near the lifts. The rooms are in a sound condition, safe, for example. We had a modern and comfortable. In the basement were the breakfast rooms, breakfast was served, the friendliness of the staff at breakfast was not very high standard. On the 18th floor was a full range of exercise equipment, along with an open terrace for sun worshippers. The hotel is a bit dated, but very restored. read more

The double room was not large but had a nice amenities. King size bed, large TV, bath or jetted tub, full kitchen. Furnishings seemed not new but not old. The room was very clean.

We had a great rate with breakfast included. From the United States one knew the breakfasts and giving up the at motels including are usually happy to. Not so at the Seneca. Here there are eggs to order Saussage or bacon, pancake or toast and hash browns; coffee. Very tasty, extensive and a good start for the day. Interesting for late sleepers: breakfast until 14 hours, also unlike most of the United States. The atmosphere in the restaurant is not quite as nice, but the quality of the breakfast is excellent. Other meals we didn't meals in the hotel.

  • Service

The major flaw of the hotel, in our opinion: The service at the front desk. The front desk staff were very disinterested and little informative. Only after explizitem questions you got information. It was not feel welcomed. For example we noticed only in the room for that we have a breakfast included we got exactly what we booked on request the vouchers already waiting. Bell/doorman, however, were very friendly and helpful. The room cleaning was flawless.

The hotel is located on the northern edge of the center. The Magnificient Mile begins two minutes walk from the hotel. In the Loop you would walk around 10-15 minutes. Right next door is the John Hancook center. Also very close is the Watertower Place.

Very well maintained 17 -storey hotel in one of the best locations Chicago is all about. The hotel is older, but in very good condition, very quiet and clean. The staff is very friendly and we felt very well. We will the hotel on our next visit to Chicago definitely book again. There are two restaurants in the hotel, but we didn't use them. The hotel is very cheap for its location and facilities. read more

We had one of the smaller rooms, but still enough space for 3 people. It had two king size beds, a spacious bathroom with many closets, a full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and stove. Three huge walk-in closets with loads of storage space. The rooms are maybe a bit "plush", but it didn't bother us too much.

The location is absolutely great, just adjacent to John Hancock Center and the Watertower-place, but still quiet. Michigan Avenue is a block away, all major attractions either on foot or by metro. To the Oak Street Beach it is also only 10 minutes. Restaurants and bars are close.

Good value Leisungs money, all in the immediate running around, only a few steps away from Michigan Avenue, right next to Hancock Tower. Everything was very clean, nice, competent staff. The only drawback: us with 3 persons the smallest room. Our traveling companions had more space than couples. But since we were only there to sleep, it was ok. By all means very highly recommended. read more
